Frankfurt, Germany [1]

Within an hour of our departure from Munich and arriving at Frankfurt International Airport, we were picked up by a good looking, and polite driver.

Not far from the airport, we stopped at a manor, high-fenced, equipped with a fairly sophisticated security system. There was a wide front yard, with a beautiful garden a large pond in the middle of the garden, a fountain, magnificent statues, and two pavilions to the east of the main building, I was stunned to see a green garden as big as twice a football field.

"Welcome to my home," said Valter.

I was amazed to see the building in front of me, this is not just a house or a mansion, this is a modern castle. A modern 3-storey castle, with whitewashed walls, dark brown roofs with a European romanticism inspired design, a beautiful balcony, and two towers flanking the left and right corners.

"Jade? Come on, shall we go in?" Valter said, startling me awake from being stunned, staring at the Manor. I followed Valter while remaining silent watching the Manor and its contents, various kinds of questions raging in my mind.

Is this really Valter's house? It is very different from the state of the house we live in Munich, more so than the apartment we lived in before, even though the apartment is intended for the city but is still very much different when compared to a manor. This is a manor, not a mansion, not a penthouse, let alone a house, only certain people can afford this kind of residence.

I held my breath walking through the rooms, stopping in the bedroom, like walking in a modern museum, which is not only high quality but rather high value. Ceiling-high windows with gorgeous drapes, luxuriously lined chandeliers, art nouveau carvings on the inner pillars, antiques, original paintings by Rubens, Titian, and Gainsborough, as well as classical artworks attached to the walls of the room, ornaments elegant granite and wood, there is also a luxurious marble fireplace in each room.

There are about 25 bedrooms, each of which has an area of about 130 square meters, I bit my lip entering the bathroom with a stunning design, there is a large jacuzzi tub in the shape of a sunken circle made of marble in the middle of the bathroom, surrounded by 4 sturdy pillars.

I stood there speechless without a word, everything I just witnessed triggered the emotions that stirred my feelings.

"Jade?" Called Valter from behind. "Who are you?" I replied, turning around, looking straight at Valter. Valter swallowed hard at me, he turned around, closed the bedroom door, and held my hands, leading me to the sofa. Valter sighed softly, looking at me calmly. "Jade, I'm just a man who can be considered lucky to be born in this family," Valter replied in a low voice as he studied my emotional face.

"I'm not satisfied with your answer, please clarify," I said in a huff.

"Well, my family owns the "Pauliner" brewery, the second-largest beer company in Germany, which has 300 branch factories spread all over the world, also one of the largest private forest landowners in Germany," he said quietly and calmly.

"Sure, that's all?" I asked sarcastically.

"Valter, I saw everything, don't try to cover it up, businessmen don't live in medieval castles that have been transformed into modern ones, I saw the great work of medieval painters in the living room, I also saw a large photo of a man in the Emperor's honor attire. Please, don't cover it up. from me. I also see noble with the plaque with the royal emblem." I said with a sob.

"All right, Jade." while sighing and looking at me softly.

"I come from a noble family, the photo of the man you saw was Emperor Wilhelm II, the last emperor of Germany, he is my great grandfather. But that doesn't really matter because the monarchy in this country was abolished a century ago, when the Weimar constitution came into effect on August 14th. 1919, all legal rights and knighthood were abolished in Germany. Because of that officially, there is no longer the term prince and princess in Germany, all hereditary titles have been abolished. Not even the official title of knighthood. It no longer exists, it is just a trace of history like a paper filled with family tree captions which are completely useless. "Valter explained at length.

"Ok, then why didn't you tell me from the start, why did you seem to cover it up," I asked again. "I'm not trying to cover it up, if I cover it, maybe you won't be here. I just don't want to talk about it, for me, it's not important for a relationship unless you're interested in what I have." He continued again.

I choked to hear that, Valter is right, I shouldn't be so emotional just knowing that Valter holds a different status from me.

"One more question..."

"Please Jade, you can ask anything," said Valter.

"Why don't you enjoy your family's facilities? Why did you choose to be a journalist and not a businessman?" I asked. "Since I was a teenager, I started my business in a field that I love, journalism. And I'm comfortable enough to live from my efforts and sweat, not from any inheritance. After all, I have a brother who has been entrusted with managing the family business." He continued again, his blue eyes staring at me. sticky and soft. "I'm just afraid, your status will create distance between us." I said softly.

"Jade, don't let bad thoughts haunt you. OK?"

I nodded weakly, I needed time to digest. I'm still in shock. I felt that Valter was so far away now, blocked by a huge, sturdy wall that I couldn't reach. I just wanted to disappear, all my confidence seemed to fall out just like that. "Why don't you go see your parents?" I asked.

"They already know I'm coming, they are waiting for us in the family room," he said again. "Okay, I'll change clothes," I said getting up from the sofa. Valter caught my hand, kept me from going away, pushed me back onto the sofa, and kissed my lips warmly. I enjoyed Valter's kiss, I felt like I was diving, letting go of all my anxiety, being very close to Valter, listening to the sound of his breath, and feeling his heartbeat take effect relaxation for me makes me more relaxed and calm.

Being close to the man I love, sharing a bed, smelling his perfume and body odor, seeing his body, and feeling loved while maintaining the limits of norms so that not doing more is not easy, hormonal fluctuations and biological needs have to fight with our commitment to each other. Also the whispers of demons that were everywhere when we were together. But I admit that Valter is smart enough to control his emotions so that we don't even get out of the deal...

Until then.
