Barcelona-Catalonia, Spain

"Nothing should be most majestic and powerful than Nature." [ A. Gaudi ]

Valter stepped towards a car rental stall in the arrival hall of El Prat airport, Barcelona, Spain. According to him it would be easier and more private to get around to other cities or villages around by car, even though Barcelona is actually quite easy to enjoy on foot.

Actually, Valter is a typical traveler who prefers the atmosphere of cities and buildings. Valter is not an admirer of art, architecture, or culture, he prefers to enjoy the amazing works of natural art created by nature, the work of the creator, but because of me, Valter must be willing to travel to a place that is not on his bucket list.

I glanced at an incoming message on whatsapp, it seemed Joseph asked when we were going to meet. I put my cellphone back in my bag, it seemed too rushed to meet so soon. There will be a lot of clubbing and party events if you meet that one party man. Joseph is a cheerful and a little bit outgoing, a product of being the friendly type, loves music and parties. It comes to the atmosphere of bars, parties, and highly alcoholic drinks when you think of Joseph.

"What's the matter honey, you seem to be thinking about something after looking at the cell phone?" Said Valter find out, making sure the car seatbelt was tight and left the airport car park to the hotel. I turned to Valter with a smile, "That was Joseph asking when we arrived, but we also need some time to rest before meeting him."

Valter laughed at my answer. "You'll need a lot of energy when you meet Joseph," he said amusedly, still staring at the road ahead.

I looked at the sky that appeared bright blue and glared above me as I stood on the hotel balcony. Barcelona's air was quite warm at the end of September. I went back and laid on the sofa, put on my iPod, and listened to my favorite mix of music. I smiled as Valter sat down next to me.

I took the headphones out of my ears and looked at Valter waiting for him to say something, pulling me closer to his chest and stroking my hair gently. "Are you going to go for a walk?" Asked Valter, glancing at me over his head. "Looks like not, we are not in a hurry here, right?" I asked, releasing my hug and sitting up straight.

Valter smiled a little while still holding my hand, "I'm going to call mom today, asking when going to Croatia. So I will be able to manage our travel schedule." I said yes to Valter as he got up from the chair and walked towards the suitcase where the macbook was stored. I just remembered to check some work emails that came in that day. Valter also got up and walked towards me, who was busy opening a macbook on a desk.

"Honey, can you check your email later?" he said persuasively, his eyes teasing me, and his expression seemed to indicate a wish. I stared at him for a moment and gave up turning on the MacBook. "Okay, what do you want from me Valter." I said, tilting my head to look at Valter.

"The warmth of Barcelona makes me want to swim and sunbathe, will you participate?" He said with a pleading face. In my heart I am amused seeing Valter begging like a child, whining to his mother. I laughed in my heart, this is like a sign that the barrier between me and Valter is getting thinner. I got up from the chair, kissed him on the cheek, and quickly left. "Wait for me to change my clothes," I said.

The sun shone brightly in the private pool on the rooftop of the hotel, I put on my glasses and applied sunscreen all over my body, and laid on a chair beside the pool. It has been a long time since I felt the warmth of the sun, Barcelona has a sub tropical climate which means dry, hot weather for almost every season. winters are just damp and wet. I peeked at Valter who was swimming first, from behind my dark glasses I noticed how handsome my future husband was. His tall, well-built body, broad shoulders, shiny hair, looked dazzling with the reflection of the water and sunshine. I came out of my reverie when Valter waved his hand giving the code for me to immediately go swimming with him.

I walked to the pool and splashed myself swimming next to Valter. I am good at swimming, when I was in elementary school in Kalimantan I was always active in swimming lessons in the afternoon. Unfortunately, my swimming skills are not comparable to Valter's, after several rounds of racing he always managed to beat me. "I admit defeat, you are very fast," I said, taking off my swimming goggles which were filled with water. Valter chuckled to see me giving up, I walked over to Valter and held my hands around his neck, gasping for breath.

Valter approached and kissed me deeply, I felt uncomfortable trying to get away from Valter, I was just a little embarrassed to be caught by the waiter who brought our drinks. "I thought you were going to swim instead of kissing me," I said a little surprised and tried to run away. Valter chased me to catch my body and we slowly sank into the pool, took me with him into the pool, and kissed me gently in the water.

Valter was able to be in the water without breathing for a long period of time, but I couldn't, in a panic, I immediately came to the surface, and coughed up some water. "Valter..." I said complaining. Valter held my shoulder, tapping, "are you, okay dear?" I was silent, it felt like after swallowing a glass of pool water, Valter lifted me and wrapped me in a bathrobe then carried me into our room.

A beautiful afternoon in the busy city of Barcelona, Valter took me to the garden area on the hill, the name of the place is Mirador del Alcalde, there are some beautiful flower beds and a neat, beautiful fountain. This place offered stunning views from above, overlooking the sea and the harbor, as well as the neatly lined yatches and ships, and the whole city view of Barcelona. Not far from the park, a little hike above stands the Castell de Montjuic, a large 18th-century fortress that has now been converted into a museum on a hilltop. Many of the world's artists were born in the city built by Hercules, from painters, sculptors, designers to leading architects. One of the most prominent is Antonio Gaudi.

Antonio Gaudi's most famous work in this city is the Sagrada Familia. One of the most spectacular and controversial basilicas in the world, which took approximately one hundred and forty-six years to complete, and is still under construction today. I stared at it for a long time without blinking at the exterior architecture of the Sagrada Familia. Pure geometric shapes and intricately curved curves, the pillars built into a tree shape to support the entire monument. Truly a very different style of architecture from any traditional church.

Each of the exterior parts of this basilica told the story of the birth of Jesus, nature and the creation of life, the suffering of Jesus during the crucifixion, the symbol of Christ's death, and the latter have not been completed yet. It is said that Gaudi hides many amazing secrets and mysteries behind its walls that led to a secret fremansory sect. Gaudi himself had long thought about the height of his work, he decided that the tallest tower of the Sagrada Familia, Torre del Salvador would only be one hundred and seventy meters high, which is one meter shorter than Mount Montjuic where we visited earlier. According to Gaudi, it is not appropriate for a human to do something that is higher than the work of God.
