Antananarivo, Madagaskar

His name is Heri, he is a Malagasy man, an educated man hired by Valter to be our personal guide while in Madagascar. Heri is one of the staff of a five-star hotel in Madagascar, and somehow Valter was able to rent it for a few days.

"I used to live in Lampung, Indonesia when I joined the student exchange program," he said when he first introduced himself before us. "That's interesting, I feel like I'm meeting an old brother," I reply.

Valter smiled proudly, when I turned around to look at him. He was so sure it made me happy, by bringing a guide with an Indonesian background.

Heri smiled with respect.

Through Heri we were introduced to the most popular traditional dishes in Madagascar- ravitoto and romazawa.
