Electrical Problems (1/2)

Quote Of The Day: " Mutants. Since the discovery of their existence, they have been regarded with fear, suspicion, often hatred. Across the planet, debate rages. Are mutants the next link in the evolutionary chain or simply a new species of humanity fighting for their share of the world? Either way, it is a historical fact: Sharing the world has never been humanity's defining attribute." -Professor Xavier.

It only took several minutes for Ms.Sinclair to lead Sion to his class, and during that time he was completely silent with his guard up.

Once they reached the door, Ms.Sinclair turned around. "Don't be so tense. My students won't bite and a lot of them are well behaved. So, be yourself and introduce yourself ok?" She smiled.

"Also no hoods." She added, pulling down his hood to reveal more of his handsome face and curly hair. "There...isn't that better?"

Sion sighed, nodding his head as he followed her into her class.

It was somewhat loud and a bit rowdy, but that was somewhat the norm for teenagers when their teachers leave the classroom.

Once the door opened, the students quickly quieted down and watched their teacher bring in a new guy.

The girls and a few guys watched the quiet Sion with great interest. He was tall, handsome, and gave off a very cool vibe to which they responded with loud gasps.

"He's mine.." One whispered.

"So dreamy...those eyes and those lips.." Another one said.

"I wonder how it looks when he smiles?" Another student wondered.

"I would chain him up in my basement where only I can enjoy him." One student whispered.

Only a few people heard that last one, and they immediately marked them as dangerous. Someone would even go as far as reporting them in the future.

Ms.Sinclair walked toward her desk before addressing her students with a warm smile.

"Alright, as you can see we have a new student that will be joining us today. I want you to make them feel welcomed and show them the ropes if needed." She said before glancing at Sion who took this as his cue to speak.

"My name is Sion Hunter and I'm 16," Sion replied in a monotone voice. He wasn't here to make friends or get to know anyone.

"Is that...all you want to say?" Ms.Sinclair asked with a wry smile. He reminded her of a certain mutant that also didn't say a lot.

Sion immediately nodded, leaving the teacher in an awkward position.

"Well..ok you're seated next to..." She glanced at one of her papers on the desk. "Mr.Stein. Wave your hand, Chase."

A boy with long blond hair and blue eyes raised his hand near the back of the class. He was wearing a letterman jacket with the school's mascot on it which immediately told everyone that this guy was a jock. Chase Stein was another star football player that was friends with Flash Thompson.

The boy moved all the way from California due to his parent's job. He was quite upset as he had to leave a few friends and his lacrosse team. Chase hoped there was a lacrosse team at Midtown High, but his hopes were crushed, and opted out to play football.

Ignoring all the stares, Sion walks to the empty desk next to Chase and sits down while letting out another sigh, he's been doing that a lot lately.

"Hey, It's your first day and you're already this down?" Chase smirked. "Lighten up a bit."

"..."

Chase waited for Sion to respond, but he simply stared at his desk with no signs of acknowledging him. "Eeesh...Ignore the guy trying to strike up a conversation." He grumbled before talking with his other desk mates who were more than happy to talk to the popular jock.

The rest of the class time was a blur to Sion as he was busy organizing thoughts.

*Ding Ding Ding* The bell for the first period started to ring and the students started to gather their things to race to their next class.

"Alright kids, You have a great day, and remember about the school field trip to the Baxter Building is next week. I'll need your permission slips by next Friday." Ms.Sinclair replied.

"Sion hang back for a minute." She said as he was about to leave the classroom.

"Aw...I wanted to talk to him." A girl whispered, giving him one last look.

"Well, he doesn't seem too friendly. Did you see how he ignored Chase?" Another girl said.

"If I was his deskmate then he wouldn't ignore me!" She said, puffing out her chest a little.

"Keep dreaming!" The other girl chuckled, pulling her friend out of the class.

It took nearly a minute for the class to clear out, leaving Sion alone with one of the most dangerous people he has met since he arrived in this world.

After talking with Nova, they told them that Ms.Sinclair was actually a mutant, a powerful one at that. She didn't seem like she was up to anything, but Sion kept up his guard.

"So, how do you feel?" Ms.Sinclair asked while paying close attention to her quiet student. Her instincts were telling her that something was off about this boy, and could even feel danger coming from him.

The red-haired teacher had a huge secret and needed to keep tabs on people that could be a potential threat to her. She had her eyes on several people at this school with one being that odd Peter Parker and another by the name of Mary Jane Watson as the girl had a knack for uncovering information.

Ms.Sinclair promised herself that she was going to live a normal life after escaping her homeland and that meant doing things she wasn't proud of...

"I'm fine," Sion answered. "Is that all you needed of me?"

Being a young beautiful teacher, the majority of the students listened to her as they all wanted to be on her good side. Ms.Sinclair thought with Sion being a boy he would open up to her a bit, but that didn't seem like the case.

"Actually...yes.." She answered back after being slightly stunned by Sion's behavior. She then grabbed a single sheet of paper off her desk and handed it to him. "Here, the permission slip for the field trip to the Baxter Building."

"Thanks..." He took the paper and quickly walked out of the class.

The stunt brought a frown to the teacher's face which usually doesn't happen as she generally is the ray of sunshine for her students.

"Grrr..." She unconsciously let out a low growl belonging to that of a dog or something of that nature until she snapped herself out of it.

"Stay calm, Rahne." She groaned while massaging her forehead.

On his way to his next class, Sion received a lot of stares for obvious reasons. He wasn't oblivious to the reasoning as he has seen himself in the mirror after the shower he had in the morning.

Sion could barely recognize himself sometimes as during the trials in the goddess's domain he never bothered with his appearance.

Although, he never remembered himself being this good-looking nor did he remember having a chiseled jawline.

But regardless of his new looks, he cared only to complete his trial to return to his homeworld.

Now lost in his own mind, Sion hadn't realized that someone had been calling out to him to get his attention, and she was quickly losing her patience.

"HELLO!" She half screamed until Sion stopped to look at her.

"Yes?" He answered, turning to see a blonde-haired girl with blue eyes. However, one could tell her hair was dyed as parts of her hair were of a different color.

The cute girl was several inches shorter than Sion and wore quite colorful clothing.

A pink tank top with a multicolored smiley face on the front, and a lime green jacket that she half wore leaving her milky white shoulders exposed. On her lower half were ripped skinny jeans held up by a studded black belt with a heart as the buckle.

Sion immediately lost interest in the girl after he looked at her, especially with the colorful bead necklace with a binky at the end around her neck.

"I haven't seen you around? Are you new here?" She smirked as she moved uncomfortably close to Sion, pressing her chest against his. "I'm a bit new myself...maybe-"

["There's a problem with her. Stay away from her."] Nova said with a hint of urgency.

["Huh?"] Sion didn't quite have the time to process Nova's input before all of the lights in the school flickered off, leaving only the emergency lights on.

"Hehe...Did they forget to pay the bill or-" The blonde girl paused once she noticed the boy she decided to pursue was gone. "What?!"

The missing boy was already on his way outside of school as he felt something strange going on in the city. A strange sensation that may have come about after being exposed to the goddess's power.

The simple upgrade was more than what he thought.

["What was wrong with the girl?"] Sion asked as he dashed towards the disturbance while grabbing a black bandana out of his bag to wrap around his face. He figured his identity was safe since no one has come looking for him yet, and he wanted to keep it that way.

The bandana was just a temporary thing until he had something better to use.

["...That girl has close ties with the unpredictable power of time."] Nova replied.

["Time? She can control it?"] Sion wasn't new to the power of time. He knew how powerful it could be when used correctly as the goddess used it quite frequently. In fact, it is how his looks didn't change despite spending a few years with her.

["As of right now...no, which is why it is dangerous to be involved with her."]

["How come you didn't warn me about that teacher too knowing she was dangerous?"] Sion frowned.

["Obviously, she is an only a minor threat. I do not like to waste my time warning you about every little thing."]

Several minutes later, people could be heard screaming for their lives as they ran away from what looked like a dome made up of glowing blue lights.

But with a closer examination, it was found to be a mass of electricity that grew larger by the minute. Soon, the electricity started to overload anything electrical in the area, causing them to erupt into flames that making the situation even more dangerous.

And in the middle of it all was a girl named Noriko Ashida. A Japanese teenager that escaped to the USA after discovering her mutant powers. Several mutants are unable to control their powers, but not many are forced to take drugs just to keep them contained.

Drugs that required money which forced the teenager to steal to pay for them. It wasn't a pretty thing to do, but she was backed into the corner with nowhere to call home.

Noriko was desperate for help and for a time, the drugs helped her up until recently when she felt her powers becoming stronger.

The amount that lasted her an entire month was now reduced to weeks and eventually days. She was still a good-natured person deep down, so stealing more than she needed wasn't an option. However, that choice, unfortunately, resulted in her being in this situation with no one to rely on.

"S-someone...please.." She whimpered, tears streaming down her glowing blue eyes as she gripped her head.

"SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!"

•°•°•°•°•°••°•°•

Most people couldn't hear the cry out for help, but to people like Sion, it was plain as day. At first, he was just thinking of completing the quest he has to finish this week, but then he heard that desperation...that fear.

It reminded him of the people he tried to save, the same people that caused his uncle to abandon him.

With his emotions rising, Sion quickly found a hidden alleyway to transform.

"Hey, Nova."

"Yes?" Nova said as the familiar belt appeared around his waist.

"Authorize."

"Understood!" The 'X' emblem flashed as usual with the strange siren noise while Sion crossed his arms in front of his chest.

"Henshin..." Chains immediately burst out of the belt, covering his body within seconds, covering his body with the suit of Kamen Rider Marvel X!

Now dawned in his suit, Sion charged directly into the electrical field without any regard for his safety. As soon as he entered, he could feel the electricity enter his body, shocking him like a police-grade taser.

It was painful, but he's dealt with much worse.

Soon, he arrived in front of the girl, tears streaming down her face as she lost control of her power.

"N-No, please! DON'T! STAY BACK!" Noriko screamed at the top of her lungs as the mass of electricity around her shot up like a pillar that reached the skies.

Almost immediately, the sky began to darken as massive cumulus clouds gathered, bringing about the roaring sounds of thunder.

Noriko's power was going berserk!

She was afraid that she was going to be locked away or even worse for her past deeds.

"I DIDN'T MEAN TO DO IT!" Noriko screamed again while falling to her knees. "I DIDN'T MEAN TO..."

"...I'm here to help."

"...Huh?"

°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•

Several miles away from the incident an undetected jet was flying through the air when the thunderstorm clouds rolled in. The ship was sleek and nearly silent, something that was worth quite a bit of money.

The jet was owned by Charles Xavier, however, he wasn't on the flying contraption as he sent the X-Men in his stead to safely recruit the out-of-control Noriko. Currently, a young man with a red visor over his face was piloting it, it was Scott.

"Hey, Storm could you do something about this?" He asked while keeping the jet as steady as he could. The storm outside was getting worse by the second, and it was making it hard for him to safely land.

"I can." The weather manipulator answered just as her eyes flashed with blue light. Suddenly the raging storm outside started to dissipate bit by bit.

"I can only hold it for a moment. Quickly find a place to land." She said.

"On it." Scott nodded.

"The mutant seems to be in distress. We need to get down there." A young woman with strikingly red hair replied with her eyes closed. She had tried to connect to the mutant's mind, but something was blocking her, something familiar and it made her feel restless.

While the three were doing something important another mutant was smoking a cigar like it was a casual Tuesday..except it was actually Monday.

It was Wolverine.

"Ugh.." A young woman with auburn hair and a noticeable white streak groaned while using her hand to wave away the smoke coming from the man's cigar. "Must you smoke on the jet too sugah? You've already gone through five already and that's just from this morning."

"It's not like I'll die." He shrugged. He was immortal why would he care what poison he puts in his body.

"Yeah, but you're overpowering my perfume." She complained. "And the smell..not something women would like."

Wolverine smirked. "I wouldn't say that."

"Gross..." The woman said, rolling her eyes a bit.

"We're here let's get down there!" The young man with the visor said.
