The sound of IV drop in the stillness of the room. Sara opened her eyes slowly, her vision still blurry.
She looked around and saw no one. She tried to get up from the bed and tried to remember what happened before she passed out.
The door suddenly opened, and a nurse walked in. Sara instantly knew who it was. It was her. The one who takes care of her son and knows about it.
"You woke up? Are you feeling better?" The nurse got closer to her and run a quick checkup. Sara was scared, the last thing she remembered was a blackout in his arms.
"Who brought me here?" She questioned the nurse. She has no time to waste, she needs to know if she had to spit out the truth she had been trying so hard to hide.
"A young man bought here. He said that you were on the same lift and blackout suddenly." The nurse explained everything to Sara.
Sara sneered on that, just on the same lift? Was he that ashamed to say their relation to others. So ashamed to admit that he knows her.
"Am I just a stranger to you" she mumbled under her breath. The nurse heard her question but was confused about what to say. Stranger to her? What was she talking about? Maybe she was too formal with her.
"No no, you are not a stranger to me. You are Michal's mother right?" The nurse tried to deny what she said to her.
Sara got out from her thoughts on hearing her remark, she looks up at her puzzled why was she saying that.
Thud! A sound came from the door, both the nurse and Sara looked in the direction. It was none other than Michael standing at the door and a bag with medicine was on the ground. With his look, she knew it, he knows it now.
"Who...is Michal?" Michael gathered the courage and look up at her, eyes cold like the glacier.
Sara lowered her head and didn't reply anything and just clasped her hands together hoping he doesn't ask again.
The nurse was confused by them, it was cold. She slightly left the room from the door. It was better to leave the room as it was between them.
After the nurse left the room, Michael closed the door and walked towards her, and repeated his question, "Who is Michal?"
Sara didn't want him to know, even if she stayed silent, from inside she was shaking in fear. She was afraid if he finds out what will he do?
Michael was enraged seeing her silent, like always whenever she doesn't want to say anything. She will stay silent like a statue. Can't she just open her mouth for once say it out clearly, was it that difficult?
"I am asking you something!!" He shrieked out in fury and turned her face towards him forcefully.
"Answer my question, and you get anything you want." Michael lured her. Maybe he was desperate but when he heard the nurse saying that she was Michal's mother, he suddenly got a hope that their child may be alive, maybe she just lied about the death. Whatever the reason was, if she just says it out, he will forget everything. He just wants to know if their child was still alive.
Sara gulped, before opening the mouth, " If you know the truth, will you help me out?" She looked up at him with teary eyes.
Michael was astounded, she was asking help from him? This was the first time she was asking it, and her eyes were not telling lies.
Sara looks at him, speechless. What did she expect? To have a happy ending? She never fated to have one. She was in a trap and once she gets in she will never be able to go out of it. If he knows about them, he will be pulled into this whirlpool too and she can't let that happen.
He has to be safe to protect their children once she is gone forever, silently leaving them with no memory of her. As a dream that banishes once we wake up.
