In the wilderness, she opened her eyes. It was cold. She was wearing a white cotton dress. She looked around to see where she was. It was pitch dark, she heard a sound of a water droplet dropping.
"Sara." A voice came from behind, her face was shocked on hearing the voice, she looked behind to find him. But there was only darkness and stillness.
Again, the voice of calling from behind came, she looked again but no one was there like last time. The cold got worse, she was shivering. She tried to find an escape but as soon as she took a step, the place started to crumble as if a big sinkhole was forming under her feet. She was scared, she tried to run, but that hole gobbled her up. She falls into a dark place again but after some time, the darkness slowly vanishes. It was a port, around dawn, she sees her young self laying in the cold hard ground, in a pool of blood.
She remembers this scene well, she was trying to survive from Lucifer, after her savior was shot down by him. She jumped into the cold river, and even then they didn't let go of her.
As if she was not tortured enough both mentally and physically that they rained her with shooting. Luckily she didn't stop, and bullets and freezing rain were not that strong enough to break her apart, she continued to swim up to a harbor before couldn't able to keep it up.
Sara trembled on remembering those memories, her savior was the one she was most sorry to. Joey. She was the girl who was closest to her in her darkest days, and she gave away her life for her.
She took a step back if she can still save her. She can go back to save her, right? She tried to run in the direction she came from but darkness came back. She looked around to find a way and suddenly that voice came back, but no one turned up.
"Who are you?" She asked, fully cautious of her surroundings.
The voice chuckled, on hearing her. "I am someone who knows you better than you. I am the one who knows how much others disgust you. Do you know how many lives you destroyed? You are a vicious, evil woman who is selfish nothing else." As soon he finds his last sentence, the gold pairs of eyes appear in front of her suddenly, making her flinch in fear. Those eyes are beautiful but she was just scared of them as if those stares eating her up slowly and she can't retreat.
"No!" She sits straight on the bed, perspiring hardly. She looked around her, it was a small wooden room, with a fireplace in front of her.
It was pretty small, with a few pieces of furniture and the giant window from where the moonlight was keeping the room making the room gloom.
She thought it was just a dream, those eyes will not be there anymore, but soon the coldness surrounded her, that voice whispered from behind, "Accept it."
A chill went down her spine, she wants to look back but she was scared, what if it eats her? What if those eyes are saying the truth? No, she was not a monster.
"No." She cried out, hiding her ears, she didn't want to hear its voice. She wants to be alone but it doesn't stop, "Stop denying. Accept it. You are a monster." The voice continued it got louder and louder.
No. She was not a monster. She was not a monster… She shook her head vigorously, crying out loud. "I am not!!" Her legs were shaking, she wanted to hide. She didn't kill them. She didn't… She was a victim too, why can't they trust her? How can she kill someone she cares about most? She was not that ruthless, she never.
"NO!!" she shrieked out as the voice got louder.
Hearing her shout, Michael went in to check. He was dashed to her as soon as he saw her, crying and trembling on the bed. He went beside and sat down on the bed close to her. He tried to ask what happened but before he could, Sara wrapped her arms around him tightly, wailing and trembling in fear.
"I am not a monster. I am not selfish. I didn't kill them…." She continuously murmured while hugging him tightly.
Michael was shocked but he knew it was not the right time to ask her about this, he hugged her back and patted her back, trying to calm her down. He silently stayed like that as she sobbed it out
