Storming The Beaches & First Contact with Enemy

Katniss P.O.V. So after our fleet passed Crete Miranda & I put the children & Arya on a transport ship that would head to Constantinople while Miranda Myself, Violet & Our troops continued towards the main landing site near Acre once we arrived off the shores of the Holy Land on the Evening of the 17th of September we had a final war council and discussed the plans for the following day once we all agreed with the planned objectives that had been set for tomorrow the war council got over about 11:35 p.m. Miranda & I dismissed our officers and once they had all left the council room Miranda and I walked out of the council room and headed to our personal quarters and once we walked into our quarters I closed the door and climbed into bed with Miranda and together the two of us fell asleep in each others embrace at around 5:00 the next morning I noticed that the bed was cold and that Miranda wasn't lying in bed next to me so I walked over to the closet and grabbed my gear which included black leather gloves, black commando camo pants, a black kevlar ballistic vest+undershirt & my black battle helmet and finally I grabbed my officer sword+Mk14 Glock Pistol+ammo & finally I grabbed my M1 Garand rifle and once I had all my gear on I walked out of our quarters and headed to the upper deck of the battleship that we were on. Once I arrived on the upper deck I saw Miranda standing on the starboard side of the ship and so I made my way over to where she was standing once I reached her side I planted a kiss on her cheek and said Morning Love and she turned to face me and said Morning Kat and then I said should we start the bombardment of the shore and she said yes and reached down towards her belt and pulled out her radio and said Admiral Gustav commence the bombardment and he replied yes Mame and once all the guns of the coalition fleet that was postioned along the entire shoreline had been pointed at the beaches Miranda then yelled fire thus begining the largest naval bombardment up to this point while the fleet was bombarding all the beaches the first wave of coalition troops and vehicles made their way towards all of the disgnated beaches after about an hour the first soldiers to enter the Holy Land in over 200 years had hit the beaches and they quickly secured the beach and continued to advance inland Miranda & I were watching the progress of our troops from our binoculars and I looked over at her and said well that went better than I expected and Miranda said yes this is unsettling Kat and I said I agree and after waiting until evening Miranda & I climbed into the landing craft that was to take us to the beachhead along with our legion and once we arrived at the secured beach there waiting for us was a Willy's Jeep so Miranda hopped into the drivers seat and I got on the 50 cal on the back and I held on tight as Miranda drove the Jeep forward at break-neck speed towards the front line that was futher inland after we had arrived at the frontline I noticed that our troops were having trouble to take a fort that was being used as a F.O.B. so once we pulled the Jeep up to the head of our troops we hooped out of the Jeep and gathered our men and led a massive charge across the large swath of desert towards the fort guns ablazing once we arrived at the gates of the fort Miranda grabbed some C4 explosives and planted them onto the gate and blew it open and in we charged and we slaughtered everyone in the fort save for 1 solider to spread the word, along with the women and children who we sent to the rear to be protected because they looked really malnourished and underweight and once the women and children had left the fort Miranda and I gathered our troops and snuck up towards Acre in the darkness and Miranda & I had decided to attack Acre at dawn the next morning.
