the thirst of a beast that was on a cage once

[warning: this chapter may be the first and last one with sexual reference with magical creatures.]

it has been two weeks since Max became a fugitive.

Max is walking with Alice on the streets of a small town. Alice is angry with Max for many reasons so she refuses to look at him.

he looks at some elves selling something that Max is sure to be marijuana. there are some Trolls working on the construction. they are building an inn that is suppose to be for people with money. there are some gnomes working as security guards for a bar.

"this world is destroying my ideals about monsters."

said Max feeling betrayed by fairy tales.

"don't call them that. this town is on their territory, which means it belongs to them. if you anger them. they have the right to beat you up, take all your valuable objects before, throwing you naked outside of the town."

said Alice worry for him.

the magical creatures on here aren't friendly, but there aren't aggressive either. Max asks Alice to wait for him as he decides to enter on a hairdressing salon. Alice insist that she also wants to get a change of hair.

once inside the hairdressing salon Max was surprise. all the workers are either male ogres, dressed as members of a boy band with even colorful hairstyles. or female fairies with sexy clothing.

"go with Justious Ogreber over there while I see if this ladies deserve five stars from me. I mean, I am a professional critic when it comes to honest work."

said Maxwell as saliva is dropping from his mouth.

"ew, do you have a thing for fairies? and who the holy grail is Justious Ogreber?"

yields Alice furiously.

an ogre with a blonde wig grabs Alice of the arm. he pulls her to a chair. he presents himself as Justious Ogreber the lead singer of the 'Copy Right Issues of Ogreville.' he starts to sing a song as he starts to do her hair.

Max is flirting with the fairies that are doing his hair. one of the fairies makes a comment about wax as part of a promotion. Max innocently thought she was talking about hair removal from the chest. he said yes. he is taken to a separate room. (he regrets saying yes ever since.... that is a lie, he loved it.)

Alice can hear tiny screams, like the screams of mice. then she hears Max's screams. she wanted to ask what was happening. she was worry for him. one of the Ogres comments that he may be having a 'happy ending' or like the fairies call it a 'better ending.' Alice was furious to be the companion of such man-whore.

Justious Ogreber finish cutting Alice's hair. he asks if she wants to have her hair painted. Alice nods. the Ogre continues with his work. it took more than four hours for the Ogre to cut and then paint her hair. Alice pays for it. she then waits for thirty minutes.

finally the door of the room opened. Max gets out of it. the only change he had is that he is shaved (up and down.) and also his lack of energy to even walk. seven fairies get out of the room. they all are soaked in a liquid that doesn't need explanation.

"you are an animal."

yields the princess furiously.

"there were ten against one, I was practically taken advantage of by those ladies."

exclaims Max.

"those are fairies of the size of an action figure."

"I am not going to deny that they do have a nice figure, and they are made to take action."

Alice was furious. she was about to slap him. he slaps her twice. he explains that she is his prisoner, but her father spoiled her a lot. and that is why she is a punk. somehow it was normal for the employees of that establishment to hear those words. Max pays for the service. he then leaves with Alice.

Maxwell looks at an ice cream shop. he pulls Alice as he walks towards the ice cream shop. the owner was from Eartho. Maxwell asks for a Ronpope ice cream (Ronpope is like eggnog. that is a famous ice cream flavor on Mexico.) Alice asks for strawberry.

while they were eating their ice cream. they started to feel hungry. Alice asks to Maxwell how is that he has so much money with him. he tells her that he received a money advance before killing certain king. he also tells her about jobs that he has been doing (mostly selling his body to ladies.)

Alice feels terrible to like such a man-whore. she demands an explanation for his actions. his answer is simple, it is 'the thirst of a beast that was on a cage for too long and is finally free.' he is willing to spend nights and days with as many ladies as possible. but he won't fall in lover ever again. or at least those are his words.

he may be joking around and more, but the time that he spend on jail affected him badly. he is emotionally unavailable. he is mentally not stable enough to care for others in a romantic way. he is a beast and no more.

Max doesn't know how to cry nor how to smile. it is rare for him to show any of those emotions. he knows how to admire or love the beauty of this world, but there is no space for emotions in particular. Alice may know all that already.

Max asks Alice if she wants to eat something. she nods. he goes to a restaurant as he pulls her close to him. he has almost forgotten that he is a fugitive.

once inside the restaurant Max goes to a table on a corner. Alice follows him quietly. they order some food.

"I had been thinking, I look more like your uncle than a guy holding a prisoner. do you have anyone who can take care of you, or do I have to sign some papers to be your legal guardian. after all, these weeks together aren't the last."

said Maxwell.

"creepy older man, don't be so creepy. you my uncle? that is disturbing. first wash that mundane tongue of yours before talking to a member of the royal family. secondly you are a street dog pretending to be my care taker. I felt pity for you and I allowed you to follow me, not the other way around."

said Alice feeling furious without even knowing why.

"if you want to eat, you will have to eat on the floor. because this table is for the mundane dog, and not for the brat. if you want me to break your neck for you I am ready, if it is a no, then don't provoke me."

yields Max furiously.

Max believes that eating is something sacred. he hates to be annoyed while eating. he force her to eat her food on the floor without using her hands, like an animal. everyone on the restaurant was looking at them. the whispers of others angered Max even more. he wasn't on the mood to argue.

"if any of you assholes has something to say, come and talk to my sword, or you can pretend that nothing ever happened."

yields Max feeling rage.

Max didn't wanted to humiliate princess Alice on that way. the memories of prison are still fresh on his head. the experience he lived on prison affected him. every time at the hour of eating he had to fight for his life. he wasn't able to eat at peace, there are times in which he forgets that he is no longer on the cage.

Max wants to apologize. he knows it is too late for that. Alice looks at him with teary eyes. Max tells her that it was her fault for been annoying.

Alice feels anger and she feels offended. she wishes for her eldest brother to be here, so he can punish Max for been an asshole.

a brave man approaches Max and he starts to behave like if he was the real deal. Max tells him to fuck himself. the man is about to touch Max's shoulder. Max turns and he cuts off that guy's hand with his sword.

the guy is on the floor screaming and crying. everyone is in shock, they have seen something horrible. Max finish eating and he asks for a second plate. when Alice was done eating her food, she saw that Max was already eating dessert.

"you fat ugly animal."

Alice murmur angry.

"what did you say?"

Max asks curious.

"dog, was I talking to you?"

asks Alice with a force smile.

Max grabs her. he accommodates her on his laps. she is facing the floor. he lifts her dress. Alice blushes thinking that he is going to do something naughty. Max starts to spank her with a belt. he stops once he is sure that she felt enough pain.

"why did you do that? you are a sick monster."

yields Alice crying.

"your papa din't educated you with a belt, but oh lord I will. I will make sure that you learn to respect your elders or at least you won't be able to sit properly for the rest of your life. now behave and you better not talk back to me."

said Maxwell with a sinister smile.

Alice keeps crying. she feels the humiliation of been mistreated by a savage. she wishes to see her father and siblings. she misses everyone on her life, even the maids that she treated like garbage. is now that she sees how great they all were.

Maxwell leaves the restaurant. Alice follows him. on the streets Maxwell saw the knights searching everywhere. Max pulls Alice closer to him as he tries to get away from there. he tells her that everything is going to be fine.

Alice feels conflicted. he is at times caring and he is at times a savage. she knows that she should hate him with all her heart, but every day that passes she feels more attracted towards him. there is something about him, there is something that she can't resist. and she keeps being conflicted.

somewhere on the Martyrium Kingdom.

Ramiro Gutierrez is eating tacos. he was eating on peace until Raku Kobayashi approached him. Ramiro & Raku were send on a mission to find the princess & the possible traitor. Ramiro is trying to find a way to make contact with his friend.

he needs to warn Maxwell about the King Thurstan Cromwell, he has send many assassins for his head. the assassins of the king are getting too close to the last location in which they met.

if Ramiro makes a sudden move, it may alert Raku who is the loyal dog of the king. Ramiro needs to solve this issue in a smart way. he keeps thinking as he feels that danger is closer, by every second he spends with the enemy.

Raku never speaks. he is always quietly looking at everything. he is the type of person who studies everything around of him. he is a dangerous person. the danger is not in his strength, but on his mind.

Raku is always holding a book or a notebook. it is unclear if he is reading or just pretending to be reading. Raku is a silent observer. is possible that he is Logan's right hand.

Ramiro tries his best to hide his nervousness. he is walking around with Raku. another assassin tells them that they have Max's location.

"remember, be loyal."

whispers Raku.

Raku looks at Ramiro. it was clear, those words are directed towards him. is a fact that Raku knows something, the question is, 'what does he knows?'
