Sahana P.O.V. (Friday)

My eyes slowly opened to slight darkness.

I shuffled around, trying to find my phone. My arms extended around me, eventually touching my nightstand.

My fingers traced along until I felt something that seemed like a phone.

I grabbed it and turned it on, to reveal its bright screen radiating on my face.

I checked the time: 6:30.

I looked up at the top right of the screen to see its battery: 20%.

"Shit I forgot to charge it." I rubbed my face, still not able to fully open my eyes. I lied back onto my bed, thinking about last night.

To be honest, I'm happy that I said I wanted to be friends with Jai.

I turned to my side and continued to recall all the things that happened.

"Nothing, that was just cute."

Was it my lisp?

And when I told him, he then choked on his chai.

I giggled and grabbed a pillow to hug,

"Were my pillows always this fluffy?" I patted them.

"Were they always this big?" I sat up with it in my hands.

I rubbed them against the pillow, oddly feeling a satin material, rather than cotton.

"These aren't my pillows."

I looked down at the blanket that was covering me and pulled it up to reveal last night's clothes that I was still wearing.

"Did I not change?"

I looked around the room I was in but failed to identify anything.

"Where the hell am I?"

I tried remembering the rest of what happened last night. "I know I became really tired for some reason," I tilted my head and scratched it.

"Oh my god."

"Did I knock out?"

I then quickly grabbed my phone and turned on the flashlight. I silently gasped, as the flashlight revealed the room,

"AM I IN JAI'S ROOM??"

It was surrounded by dark gray walls that had subtle textures, with a flat inch T.V. mounted on, in front of the bed.

To my left appeared a massive window, that was closed by curtains.

" Damn, that's a big ass window, jeez."

I got out of bed and walked to the window, pulling the curtains away, revealing a beautiful view of the city.

It was still dark outside, but New York City never stops working.

I gazed at all the lit-up buildings that were different sizes as they lined up together and gaped down at the streets flooding with cars and taxis.

It's a really close second to the view in my apartment.

Maybe even better, but I wouldn't admit it.

I pulled the curtains back, covering up the window again. I passed the nightstand (That I know now, isn't mine) and walked around the room, as my flashlight showed more things.

Jai's wall was mostly plain but I saw there was a section of it, designated for picture frames of him and what I assumed to be his family.

They were put together with different frame sizes and fit like a perfect puzzle.

One, in particular, caught my eye.

There was a young boy in the center, holding up a trophy with a medal around his neck, smiling from ear to ear. Based off his features, I assumed it was Jai.

Compared to how he is now, the eyes, lips, and smile was still the exact same in the photo. "How the hell, did he look that good when he was young?" I scoffed and observed the other members.

His mom was beside him on her tippy toes, squishing his face while kissing his cheek. Her hair was dangling in a high ponytail, as wavy strands framed her face. I figured she was where Jai got his Indian side from. Indians can sense Indians am I right? His mother was beautiful, to say the least. There was no identifying factor that shows her age. After giving birth to 3 kids, she still managed to stay in wonderful shape. "God pray for me to be like this woman." I shook my head in disbelief.

What I assumed to be his brother and sister were on the other side of him, laughing and had their hands in the air. They all had similar features. But his siblings looked more like their mother.

Jai, on the other hand, looked more like the man in the center of the photo, who was carrying him on his shoulders as he smiled looking up at his son. He got those sharp hazel eyes from him, the nice structured face, and

the hair.

Don't even get me started with the hair.

It seemed as if the photo was taken naturally without them knowing.

I could tell from all their faces, that they truly loved each other, and they were proud of Jai that day.

"That's a good family right there." I grinned.

I continued to look at that photo but soon realized something.

His dad.

"He looks familiar."

"Have I seen him before?" I whispered to myself.

I stared at his father for an odd amount of time, until I eventually gave up.

"Eh never mind." Shrugging my shoulders, I headed back to his bed to fix it, and quietly left his room.

I tiptoed into the living room and heard faint snoring.

My eyes traveled to the sound and found Jai sleeping on one of his couches, with Monty on his feet and Amiga on his chest.

"How can he sleep like that?" I snickered taking in the view.

He had an arm over his eyes, only revealing plump lips that were slightly apart, as he let out tiny breaths.

I tried to be as silent as I could and walked towards the couch.

Bending down, I wrapped an arm underneath Monty's body and picked him up while trying not to wake both him and Jai up.

Well, that plan failed.

Monty woke up, midway into my process, and stood up onto my arm as it got crushed onto Jai's legs.

"Owwwww." I silently shrieked.

Monty eventually jumped off of my arm onto the floor, as I stood up and stared at the nail marks he left from digging into my skin.

Then I heard from behind me, shuffling on the couch.

I turned around and saw Jai slowly opening his eyes.

"Well, shit."
