Sahana P.O.V. (12:00 p.m.)
I exited the room of yet another meeting.
We finally decided on our launch date to be sometime between the end of March to the beginning of April, since the design of the product fits more with the theme of springtime.
I massaged my neck and turned to Tara, "Am I having lunch with anyone?" She looked down scrolling through her tablet and shook her head, "Nope."
I sighed in relief, "Thank god, NOW MASSAGE ME."
Tara put up her hands, "Sorry, they're full."
"I hate you, you know that right? I hate you so much." I stuck my tongue out at her.
Tara laughed and shook her head, "Ah, you're such a baby."
My eyes widened, "WHAT, WHO YOU CALLIN A BABY??"
"Can a baby form their own company I THINK NOT!?"
Tara was still laughing, "Ok, ok I'm sorry. You're not a baby, you're a queen. The best ever."
She hailed down towards me.
I pointed my chin up and nodded, "That's right."
We stared at each other for a couple of seconds, then burst out in laughter.
"Ok, I'm gonna go have lunch now see ya." I waved grabbing my back and taking out my phone to text Cassia and Sami.

Me: HEY BITCHES
Me: WHO WANTS LUNCH ON ME
Sami: WAT FREE LUNCH HELL YEA
Cassia: IM DOWN
Me: HAHA JUST KIDDING BRING UR OWN MONEY BITCHES
Sami: DUDE WHAT THE HELL UR ASS GOT MY HOPES UP
Cassia: Wait THINK about it Sami when has Sahana EVER bought us smth
Me: HEY I BUY YALL LOADS OF SHIT
Cassia: HAHA AND I HAVE A WHOLE STASH OF DIAMONDS UP MY ASS BITCH PLEASE
Me: WHATEVER MEET ME AT LOADED BURRITO IN 15 MIN
Sami: ROGER THAT
Cassia: IM LEAVING RN
I slid my phone in my coat pocket and began walking to the restaurant.
I tried not to think about it much, but ever since Jai had told me what happened last night, it never left my mind.
I shook my head, "Sahana, you need help."
Remembering the way Jai took advantage of the moment when he moved closer to me and gazed.
That classic smirk plastered onto his face, once he knew that he won the battle.
I could feel the heat slowly reaching up to my face yet again.
I breathed in and out and started flapping my coat, "What the hell, when did it get so hot all of a sudden??"
Just in time, a rush of cold wind gladly slapped me in the face.
Chills went all through my body, as I felt goosebumps form everywhere.
I smiled,
"Thank you, wonderful Earth."
I reached Loaded Burrito, and saw that Sami and Cassia weren't here yet so I went and got a table for us. "Is there anything you would like to drink?" the waiter asked, "Yes, a water please." I smiled and he nodded, leaving.
I was scrolling through my emails when I got a text from Blaire.
Blaire: Sahana I have an ANNOUNCEMENT
Me: Yes Blaire TELL ME
Blaire: Remember when you suggested I have a celebratory party?
Me: Yup
Blaire: well I'm having one! It's tomorrow at 6:00!!
Me: Oop pushing all the things I have tomorrow just for this PARTAY 🥳🥳
Blaire: haha ok see you tomorrow!!
Me: see you!!
I then heard the door open as Sami and Cassia entered, laughing loudly at probably something only they could understand.
I waved at them, catching their attention and they walked towards me.
"Heyy." I beamed, "Let's order."
The food finally came. Two Baja shrimp tacos, with avocado crema for Cassia, and two fried avocado tacos each for Sami and me with diablo hot sauce.
"So, what's the deal?" Cassia asked, "This kinda seemed like out of nowhere that you invited us." She suddenly gasped, "Oh wait! Did something happen last night? I remember you leaving a note. Were you in a hurry?"
I stopped twirling my straw in the water, staring at the ice cubes spinning.
My eyes shifted up to a worried expression on Cassia's face.
I smiled, "No it was nothing."
She sighed in relief, "Ok good, you scared me there."
I laughed nervously, which Sami caught on with.
"Um, no I think something happened last night Cassia."
I tried to show that I wasn't shocked, continuing to stare down at my water.
Cassia looked at Sami in confusion, "What are you talking about Sami?"
Sami turned to me and leaned down onto her palms,
"Is there something ya wanna tell us Sahana?"
She tilted her head, smirking.
Goddamnit, she's good.
I sighed in defeat and nodded.
Sami slightly smacked the table in glee, "I knew it," she leaned back onto her chair,
"Now spill."
I stared at the ceiling and exhaled a deep breath,
"Ah, I don't know how I should say this but..."
I saw them lean closer, nodding for me to continue,
"Jai and I are friends now."
I slowly sunk down in my chair and put my fingers in my ears.
"WHAT!?"
I could see in my peripheral vision, people turning their heads to our table.
I quickly got up to calm them down, "SHH, you know we're in public?!" I loudly whispered.
"WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE, WHY, HOW BITCH. I NEED A FULL-ON ESSAY WITH AN INTRODUCTION, THREE STRONG SUPPORTING POINTS, AND A MOTHERFUCKING CONCLUSION TO EXPLAIN TO ME WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED THESE PAST FEW DAYS!?" Sami hissed.
Cassia was massaging her temples, "I'm so lost."
"LITERALLY 2 SECONDS AGO, YOU WERE ALL UP ON PLANNING TO GET BACK AT HIM AND FORCE HIM TO DO THINGS IN ORDER TO 'MAKE IT UP TO YOU?!' " she gestured with her fingers.
I couldn't stop them from continuing to make a scene, "I'll tell you what happened if you SHUT UP SAMI."
We glared at each other until she finally settled down. I sighed, "Thank you." And took a sip out of my water before explaining everything.
"Well, DAMN." Cassia said.
I nodded, "Yup, so all that basically went down."
I turned to Sami,
"I hate to admit it,"
and looked down,
"But you were right." I mumbled quietly.
"Wait what did you say?" Sami asked and leaned closer.
"UGH YOU WERE RIGHT OK. JAI IS A NICE GUY. AND I WAS THE IMMATURE ONE." I pouted.
She smiled in satisfaction, "I know, I was just waiting for you to admit it."
"So, what's gonna happen now?" Cassia chimed in.
"What do you mean?" I asked in confusion.
She opened her mouth to speak again but closed it and thought as she oddly stared at me.
"You know what never mind,"
"Time will tell." She smiled.
I shook my head, "Ok, whatever you say." Before plopping in the last piece of my taco in my mouth.
"Let's goo."
Sami's smile never disappeared even when we left.
