Chapter 6: Mona the fighter
In Danny's letter for Doni the japs soldiers will attack them on the twenty fifth , but before that they will attack Isabela whom the commander in charge is Mona the student council president in their university and a graduating student of Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education course,and Rafael, also a graduating student of Civil Engineering course .Mona is a very tough woman a smart and beautiful woman with a body to die for, a term Doni and Mario heard from their schoolmates and classmates. But one of her qualification is being a karate black belter, and her willingness to serve the country inspite of her gender is a very noble decision of her..
"Good evening everybody," tiredness is very visible in Orlan's face.
" You look so tired, is that a good news or bad news?", Raffy jokingly asked.
" Have you imagined walking for a. five miles long distance until here? Is there no one here that will offer me even a glass of water to drink?", Orlan ask with the same tone as that of Raffy, both Raffy and Mona laugh at what he said.
" I'm so sorry for that, the last time we offer you, you said it's not good to drink water when you came from a long walk and when you are tired it might cause heart attack", Mona explained handing him a glass and a pitcher of water.
" That was the last time I am here, but right now I am already dehydrated because of the stress feeling I have right now", Orlan said.
" I assume it is bad news you've got for us", Mona said.
" Did somebody died?", Raffy asked.
" Of course not, but there is a tendency that you will all die", Orlan told them.
" What? is that a joke?", Raffy ask him.
" Of course not, we receive an intelligence report that the japs soldiers will attack you on the fiftenth of this month", Orlan said.
" Oh my gosh, what a bad news! are you sure your intel is a reliable source?", Mona asked, both Raffy and Mona looks like scared by a bomb.
" Of course, you remember Donald Lim? he is our commander in charge and his older brother is the secretary of the japs soldiers assigned in Binalbagan. He is the one that gives us the information infact after here I will pass by in Binalbagan tomorrow because they too will be attack on the twentieth and with us they will attack us on the twenty fifth," the long explaination of Orlan.
" We have five days left, we need to make a plan for a strategy, okay let's call for a meeting tonight", Raffy decided.
" that's right but before that, Orlan, you better eat dinner, let me prepare foods for you and Ralph please call everybody" , Mona told Raffy.
" Thanks , I am really hungry I had been walking since early in the morning,I had brought water and food with me but I had seen somebody on the road very tired and hungry too I give him half of my food and water ", Orlan said.
" What a good samaritan, good man Orlan",
Raffy tease him.
"Yes I am really a kind and a very compassionate kind of person", Orlan boast of himself.
" Who will suppose to hear and realize that?", Raffy asked smiling.
" Mona Rodriguez?", Orlan said.
" Wow,am I hearing it right? you're flirting with me Orlando Buena?", Mona told Orlan.
" Yes I did, just wait and I will marry you after this war", Orlan promised.
" Whew! have I told you I will marry you too?", Mona asked jokingly..
" Just assuming and hoping you will", Orlan answered.
When everybody were gathered they seriously planned for their strategy..Each of them has made suggestions, Orlan realized that there are five girls in the group aside from Mona all of them were Mona's friends and classmates but all of them were very keen listening of what they'll going to do.
Orlan had decided to sleep ahead of everybody because he need to wake up the next day to pass the bad news to the other troupe in Binalbagan. When he lay down his tired body, few minutes pass and he is already snoring obviously he's very tired so he had slept soundly immediately. The next morning Orlan wake up earlier than everybody.
"I had cooked early so that you can bring foods before you go," Imelda one of the classmate of Mona said. Obviously she wake up much more earlier than him, she is packing some foods in a banana leaves and he fill his waterjug with fresh water.
" Thanks, for bothering to prepare foods for me, you're so thoughtful", Orlan praise the girl which makes Imelda blushed.
" You' re welcome! I understand how tiring it is for you having to walk this far just to inform us", Imelda answered.
" Don't worry, this is my assigned task", Orlan told her.
" Take care be careful on your way out", Imelda reminds him.
" Okay I will, don't worry I will be back here the next day after tomorrow, after I inform Gilbert", Orlan said.
" Sure!", Imelda answered..The next day at exactly the same time, Orlan arrive at the camp the troupe of Mona staying,
.." You're back!", Mona exclaimed when she saw Orlan.
" Yes, I want to witness what will happened tomorrow and to see what time are they going to attack", Orlan told Mona.
The next day,everybody were preparing their guns, jungle knife and other kind of armed they can used for the fight. Early in the morning they were already in a position ready for the coming of the enemy, while Mona is very beautiful and sexy in her dark blue maong short with white elegant blouse, high cut black boots with make up, she's very beautiful and sophisticated .
" Hey, are you sure you will going on a fight not on a date!?", Orlan said.
" Just watch and learn", Mona said place a small gun on her holster, and rode her horse Mimba,she's a good horse rider and she had personally requested to bring her horse in this jungle, luckily it had been very useful for their troupe,
Orlan together with Raffy and his men positioned themselves hidden inside an abandoned sugarcane plantation which is hidden, but they can clearly see the coming of their enemy a few meters away from Mona.
" Get ready men!", Raffy give the signal to his men.
" They were coming ," Mona said that was already late in the afternoon..The japs were laughing in a distance seems delighted at the sight of the beautiful woman infront of them. They were just walking because they couldn't bring their war truck for they had to pass through a fishpond before they will arrive in that area. They just bring there bayonet and guns, but their guns is useless in a far distance like in where Mona stands The japanese lost their focus when they saw Mona standing in the middle of the road, very sexy and stunning, the japanese had intended to capture her alive but she quickly rode her horse and galloped to where her men positioned, when Mona aim her gun to the japs soldiers the gunfire begin. many of the japs were injured because they hadn't notice the armies hidden in the sugarcane plantation, their focus is on the beautiful girl. so they were surprise at the attack quickly some tried to hurt Mona but she fought with might in her bare hands, her karate blackbelt is excellent two men lost their consciousness. Upon seeing that the leader of the japs soldiers signal for a retreat, they decided to backout taken their injured men and retreat. Seems they were taken aback when they saw that the leader of the troupe was a woman, a sexy and beautiful woman. Orlan is very impress with their strategy,.
" Wow, that is effective, did you notice the look on their face when you beat the two soldiers with your flying kick?", Orlan is all praise with Mona.
" If you only know how nervous I am ", Mona admitted.
" It didn' t show on your face, what we saw is a tough beautiful woman with a gun",, Raffy said.
" It' s a good idea that we wait for them there, far from our hide out", Mona said
" but from now on we need to guard on shift it will be daily ,if they can come near our camp it will cause us danger", she continued.
" Now I know how useful can be a beautiful woman like you in a war like this, enemies loses their focus and that is a winning strategy", Orlan can't get over with the experience.
" ha,ha,ha, you 're a bully, you will put a woman in the first line of defense to be a bait to trap the enemy", Raffy said.
" I didn't say that, infact you collaborate with my plan ", Mona defended what she did to Raffy.
" Of course I love the idea, it's splended and effective we beat them but of course it grind my own dignity", Raffy answered.
" To hell with your dignity, it is war were in right now,were in this together like you, I want to help our country",Mona angrily told Raffy.
" Ow, come on, calm down you are really a very stubborn woman", Raffy said.
" I hate it when people underestimate my motive or action because I am a woman", Mona heatedly argue.
" I do not underestimate you, but of course I want to be able to protect you too, although I can clearly see that you can protect yourself " Raffy explained.
" That's enough please," Roda who is listeneng as they enter the camp stop the two arguing.
" You two are always arguing I won't be surprise if one day you will discover you are meant for each other", Imelda teasing the two arguing commanders.
" Doni and Mario will surely be envious upon hearing this because they hadn't allow a woman in our troupe", Orlan said.
From then on the sexy and beautiful leader of the philippine army become famous with the japs soldiers, they wanted to capture her alive than dead. Many admired Mona for her courage to fight. Everytime the sexy and beautiful lady army riding a horse comes out the fight will also begin.
