Lenford: Hurtful Silence

"Wait for me at the couch. I'll be done in a jiffy." I said as I squeezed Len's hand.

Len smiled at me as he squeezed back lightly, letting go of my hand silently as he slipped off to the couch and took a seat.

I watched him get seated before redirecting my gaze over to the receptionist who tended to the checkout process.

When she was done, I left a good amount of tip and headed off to get Len. I smiled at him as he got up and headed over to my side.

"Are you comfortable with the elevator?" I ask as I touched his pinky whilst we waited for the elevator.

"I am. You're with me." Len grinned as I felt a warm tickle in my chest.

We heard the elevator arriving and stepped into it. Without much thought, I pressed the close button on the door before the doors were forcefully stopped and a man rushed in.

"Sorry, sorry. I was in a hurry and forgot to ask you to hold the elevator." the man said as he pushed his way between me and Len and decided to stand in between us.
