Doyle POV - Limits

I sat on a chair in front of an empty desk, the layout of the surroundings pristine and adorned with names of high ranking officers. The standard blue colours of the police coated the walls and billboards while posters of self-help and warnings were thumb tacked onto them.

However, I wasn't here for sightseeing. As a matter of fact, I still felt conflicting emotions surging within me even as I have sat here for an hour or so. I did wonder whether it was negligence of the police or whether my issue was not that urgent or if the act was supposed to test my reactions.

Nevertheless, I sat still and waited as I zoned out while staring at the stack of papers on the desk. It would seem workloads are the same anywhere, always more to add to the already existing pile.
