Len POV - Defend You In Public

"What do you mean? We can't dine here?" Doyle asks, his voice gruff and gradually sounding more irate.

'I apologise, sir. As you know, our establishment, though not privy to reservations nor unaccepting of them, there are certain standards we stand by.' An employee bows, trying to explain himself to Doyle, though his gaze kept flitting over towards me when he mentioned 'standards' and what their establishment accepts as the norm.

'Perhaps you could try the other restaurants down the street.' He added quickly, flitting his gaze towards the cheaper alternatives which immediately sparks Doyle's ire.

"I see no problems in your establishment's regard. Hah! Unless you meant to say that same sex customers cannot dine together? Absurd!" Doyle spat out his words with such disbelief and disgust, that it warranted me to glance over towards him. He is never one to get so riled up, after all.
