Chapter 5

It wasn't long before we finally met up with Han and Chewbacca, who were standing against the corridor wall connected to where the ship was situated. All this running was really distracting, but I wasn't about to complain as it kept me from trying to question everything that was happening around me. I could always ask later, anyways.

As soon as we stood next to them against the wall, I began to think back to the kiss I saw Leia lay against Luke's cheek. It hurt me a little to see that, but I know that I have no chance with him anyway.. I mean, she's a princess (a very smart and pretty princess) and I'm just....'me'. Boring old me, who has never dated a single boy in all her 19 years of living. It wasn't that I didn't get the oppertunity to go out with boys, 'cause I did, I just never felt comfortable enough to do it. But seeing Luke made something inside me immediatey ignite, like a candle that suddenly catches a flame.

"Your ship alright?" Luke questioned, still trying to catch his breath from all the sprinting around.

"Seems okay if we can get to it," breathed Han, skeptically eyeing the Stormtroopers standing a short distance from us,"I just hope the old man got the tractor beam out of commision."

'Old man'? What old man?

"What old man?" I asked/whispered to Han, intrigued by this unknown figure of whom they speak.

"This Obi-Wan guy that came with us on this trip. He promised us a lot'a money for this suicide mission, so it better be worth it." He conveyed, briefly glancing back to me before resuming his scan on the area around his ship.

"This isn't a 'suicide mission', it's just a serious mission that just so happens to be slighly dangerous." Luke faught back, scowling slightly at Han's choice of words describing their rescue.

"Look!" Declared Leia from in between Luke and I.

We all turned our heads in the directions she was looking and saw the Stormtroopers move out of sight, heading towards something that seemed to have caught their attention at the other side of the landing bay.

"Now's our chance, go!" Exclaimed Han in a harsh whisper, jerking his head in an urgent manner.

3rd Person POV

Not wasting another moment standing in their not-so-discreate hiding place, they all made a run for the Ship belonging to Han-Solo, not bothering to look around for where the Stormtroopers went.

Half way towards the ship no one seemed to notice Luke slow down upon seeing Obi-Wan duelling a tall dark figure weilding a bright red lighsaber. Their weapons occasionally clashing together creating white beams of lights to ignite, and loud crackling sounds to radiate from the impact.

"Ben?" Muttered Luke, bewildered by the sight of Ben fighting againts another opponent, this one welding a differnt coloured lightsaber.

He ran forward more frantically, in order to get a clearer view on what was happening. His eyes briefly meeting Obi-Wans before Obi-Wan turned his gaze back onto the ominous figure before him.

Raising his lightsaber infront of himself and closing his eyes, the figure swung his red lightsber down on Obi-Wan, but before the saber could come into contact with Kenobi's body, he dissapeared, leaving nothing but his robes and saber behind.

"No!" Cried Luke, his voice breaking from the loss of his potentially new master and friend.

At hearing his cry, the Stormtroopers who were busy watching the fight between the Sith Lord and Jedi, whipped around to face Luke and began to simultaneously shoot their blasters at him.

"Come on!"

"Luke! Come on!"

Shouted both Han and Leia who were also doging the blaster shots aimed at them, Han shooting back fervently at the Troops.

Running out of the ship after hearing all the commotion was Gwen. She made a quick dash towards Luke, grabbing his left arm and dragging him along behind her, determined to get him to safety.

Luke was shocked by her sudden appearance and the steel-like grip she had on his upper arm, but he allowed her to move him away towards the ship, away from the blaster fire that was shooting at random all around them.

As he was being dragged along, he couldn't help but admire her form from behind. The way her tied-up auburn curls cascaded down her back just reaching above her elbows caused him to fall into a trance. Watching intensely as they bounced around slightly as she moved.

No doubt he thought she was beautiful, in-fact, she was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. However, she sure did annoy him with her constant questions and sarcastic ways. Still, he thought that she was quite an interesting figure, from her sudden appearance to her sudden urge of confidence when she saved him from that beast down in the garbage chute. As strange as she was to him, he had weird feelings towards her. Feelings which he had never felt before, that he didn't even know existed.

All too soon everything he felt towards her vanished and was quickly replaced by the all to familiar feeling of grief over the loss of his friend and perhaps what could have been his new master, Obi-Wan Kenobi, or Ben Kenobi as he knew him.

Ben was the last person he had, since he discovered his aunt and uncle hours prior to coming to the Death Star, he saw this old man as a father figure and a great teacher and couldn't accept the fact that he was gone, along with everything else he had known. He never felt so lost and alone.

"Run, Luke, run." Pressured Obi-Wan through the force.

At hearing Obi-Wan's voice and feeling the urgent tugging of the Gwen on his forearm, he ran along with her into the Millennium Falcon, taking one last shot from his blaster and aiming it towards another control panel next to the door. Firing his last shot he hit his target and the doors, which he last saw Obi-Wan, closed cutting of the enigmatic figure from entering the hangar.
