Chapter Fourteen - Don't Wanna Fall in Love

I opened my eyes then I looked at my phone, I noticed it was, 8:39 AM. I thought, Oh dam, I overslept! I walked into the master bedroom, where Billie was sleeping peacefully.

"Billie, Billie, wake up!" I told Billie while I was gently shaking him. His eyes opened as soon when I put my hand on his back.

"Hey... What ar- e you doin-, I'm trying to sleep, Eighty," Billie said groggy his eyes bloodshot and closing them back slowly.

"Emily, Emily. Come here," Adrienne whispered calling me into the living room.

"I'm pretty sure Billie wouldn't mind if you stay home today, Emily," Adrienne sighed. "Are you feeling alright, Emily? Billie told me what you told him," Adrienne continued while I sat down on the couch.

"No. Not really I've been really depressed. I really miss my mom, like my real mom," I said while tears rolled down my face.

"Awww... Sweetie, whenever I met her, she seemed like a very good mom. You know, we are here for you," Adrienne said comforting me.

"Yeah, I know," I replied.

"I'm going to check on Billie," Adrienne said walking into the master bedroom a moment later, she walked out.

The door was cracked and I noticed Billie sitting up in the bed, talking with someone on FaceTime or Skype.

Adrienne whispered, "He's doing a interview with someone, please be quite," she said while putting her finger over her mouth.

I went in my room and I scrolled through Instagram for about 30 minutes, my door was cracked and I noticed Billie walk into the kitchen.

"Hey, Billie, how was it?" Adrienne asked.

"Oh, it went great," Billie smiled.

"Well, Billie, umm... I have to tell you something, Emily is home today," Adrienne muttered.

"Yeah, I know. I was thinking, maybe her last day can be Friday, so she can say bye to her teachers and stuff, ya know?" Billie replied.

"Oh okay," Adrienne replied.

Then a moment later I heard the door screech open. I glanced up and it was Billie's smiling face.

"I thought you would be mad that I stayed home today, Billie," I sighed.

"Emily, it is partially my fault, I didn't go to bed until 3 o'clock this morning," Billie chuckled then continued, "well, tomorrow is your last day. I'll be there around, I don't know, maybe 11:30-12:00 o'clock, alright. I love you so much, Emily! Did you mean all the things you said yesterday, about you wishing I wasn't your par-- , I mean, godparent?" Billie said his smile turning into a frown.

"No. I didn't mean that; however, I'm really depressed," I acknowledged Billie.

"Ahh... I got you. You know, we care about you, Emily," Billie said smiling starting to hug me.

"Well, I know you'll better tomorrow since it's your last day," Billie smiled.

Something I didn't want to tell him was, that I starting to get bullied at school by a girl named, Ashley Simons. Her group of friends and she would everyday say to me, "Hey, look it's that kid with that loser skateboarding dad," talking about Billie and "Emily, we aren't in the 90s or 00s, stop wearing that sh*tty a** outfit that you're wearing," she would making fun of my clothes, which normally consisted of band t-shirts and Converse. What she didn't know, was my dad is multi-million dollar musician NOT a skateboarder!

All night, I had a song stuck of my head which was, Take Back from Green Day's album Nimrod. I thought it was about Ashley and her friends.

I thought to myself, how am I going to go the dance, tomorrow while going to Jakob's concert? I can't be two places at once.
