They wrote their papers and the teacher collected them and put them in the drawer of the desk infront of him. The teacher was a tall muscular man who was their homeroom teacher. He then said
"Let's test go practice magic in the field as he snapped his hand, all of the students including him we're teleported to a field.
The students practiced their magic. Students who could already do spells whom were from big families were practicing their spells. The students from normal families didn't have spells so they practiced their magic to see if they could control their elements. Jong-ji was thinking of how to use his schedule. He had a tight schedule. He wanted to find out more about the cultivation function and the system. He also wanted to use his cultivation method and see if it would have pulled any trigger with the system.
He wasn't practicing magic so the teacher said
"Jong-ji, why aren't you practicing magic."
Jong-ji didn't say anything and it seemed like he ingnored the teacher but he was too engrossed with himself that he didn't notice that the teacher was calling him.
When he came back to his senses everyone was looking at him and the teacher was angry at him.
"What were you saying, teacher" jong-ji said
The teacher replied angrily
"Why aren't you practicing magic?
You can't even conjure magic yet"
In a split second, jong-ji had already conjured lightning magic in the form of a ball on his hand.
The teacher put his hand on his face and said
"Right, you used a spell in the competition"
As he calmed down
"Nevermind, do what you were doing"
Everyone was surprised because the teacher didn't scold him. The real reason was the teacher valued students with strong potential who came from normal families not because he was one as well but because they were usually hardworking and jong-ji got first place in the competition so he valued him even more.
The teacher walked back to other students who were practicing conjuring their magic. Jong-ji also conjured some magic to see if his skills deteriorated. He relieved his worries after seeing he still had his skills.
The sun went down quickly and reached noon and the teacher said
"Everyone, you can stop now
Magic practice will continue tomorrow."
Eun-Kyung and jong-ji went back home. Eun-Kyung was tired because conjuring magic and using spells also deplete mental energy. It could be replenished just by sleeping so no one consider it really much as a weakness.
