The wedding.

Elizabeth- It was hard pretending but I was determined to do this, George my boyfriend was seated at the front , he agreed to come after I told him the plan.

As I walked down the aisle , I prayed silently to God . I looked at Michael, he smiled as a reassurance and I nodded . I got to the alter and faced him , I inhaled deeply that was when he spoke up, not to me but to the crowd,

"Sorry to announce but the wedding has been called off". That wasn't the way I expected it to come out but I just wanted to get over with this, there were murmuring coming from the crowd.

"I know you all left your responsibilities to be here today, so I'm deeply sorry for that" I knew that I would get serious scoldings from my parents but I didn't care.

"The person I truly love and want to marry is Lucy", the crowd stood up and started applauding the reason which I don't know, and he continued on my behalf this time around.

"On behalf of Elizabeth here, I'll like to call George up here" my heart skipped a bit but I was glad he said that. George walked up to the stage.

"He is the one she loves" the crowd went crazy , I looked up to Michael he smiled, then something unexpected happened. George got down on one knee and said

"Will you spend the rest of your life with me?"

"Yes, yes. I do " he slipped on my finger. I hugged him so tight and whispered

"Thank you for trusting me even though the idea was crazy."

"It was worth it".

*Lucy's POV*

Few months ago before the wedding, I didn't know what to I should do but the best option was to move on, I told Michael

"Let's breakup before someone gets hurt".

"No,we can't. We don't even have to, just trust me, I promise it'll be fine"

"Are you sure?" ,

"Yes".

He told me some days before the wedding about their plan, I felt embarrassed and stupid for attempting to breakup . He was one of a kind and maybe that's why I love him.

On the day of the wedding, the plan took effect, I had many things to tell my sister and to welcome her in-law .

The plan was successful though their parents were disappointed , we all apologized to them , we could tell they weren't bitter anymore , we took the chance to ask for their blessings and prayers , we all got married on the same day, in the same place . Things were perfect and our dreams came true.
