The Road

We had been walking for one hour and nothing out of the ordinary had happened. A few squirrels here and there, and we had hunted a rabbit and cooked it. Not actually cooked but by using the cook action in game.

"I thought there were going to be dangerous bandits and monster. It's been so boring so far." Aurora said. "I need to log out in another 2 hour so that gives me 16 more hours" she added.

There was obviously a time conversion system in the game. 8 hours in game was an hour in the real world. We had been playing for 5 in game hours so less than an hour in the real world.

"I need to cook dinner for gran too" I thought. "She's really weak these days and needs to take her medicine" I thought. Her health had been deteriorating and I was worried for her. I could survive on my own but gran was the only relative I had left.

"I'm sure she'll be all right" I thought.

Suddenly we heard a rustle and we all turned around.

A group of rabbits suddenly rushed past us.

"Hey look, more rabbits. We're full though so let's just store them for later" max said as he prepared his staff.

Aurora went trying to catch some.

However that wasn't my concern.

"The rabbits had obviously been running from something" i thought. "The question is what?"

"Hey guys-" i turned around to tell them my suspicion.

But they weren't there.

I took out my pistol and dagger and looked around.

"Whoever took them was able to sneak up, I have to be on high alert" I thought.

Suddenly a voice whispered, "I'm here..."

I turned around and found myself pointing a gun at a pale white person with long hair a creepy smile and hanging upside down from a tree.

I realised it was a ghost.

"Where are my friends" I asked.

"I took them" the ghost responded.

"That's good to hear, now give them back or your going to die, a second time" I said.

"Those bullets won't work on me" it said.

"Well these are mana bullet so i'm sure they'll work perfectly" i said.

The ghost thought for a while. "But if you exterminate me you'll never find your friends." it said.

"Then what do you want" I asked it.

These types of npc's always wanted something.

"Play a game with me." it said.

"That's creepy as hell" I thought.

But I said, "Fine what game?"

"A game of riddles" the ghost said while smiling creepily.

I sighed. I wasn't particularly good at riddles but I gave in.

"Well lets begin..." I said.
