Chapter 37- He's all I think about

I wake up to the sound of my alarm and Hero's body weighing me down. We were both on the other sides of the bed last night when we fell asleep and now he's on top of me with our legs intertwined. I really wish there was a video camera in here and I could see how we get to this position every night.

I know that he made his way across because we're on my side of the bed. I gently push him over and go for my phone and it's now 5. I decide to go take a shower but I just remembered that I didn't pack a change of clothes. I'll just shower here and put back on my outfit from last night and change my clothes when I get back to the tent. I remember Mr. Brown was telling us that we could sleep in late today and we'll be moving higher up the mountain this evening and I wouldn't have to take a shower in the bathroom stall if I just take one here. I can't just go in his bathroom and take a shower, I have to ask him first and I feel a bit awkward doing that.

After about 10 minutes he groans then gets off the bed only to go in the bathroom which I'm assuming is to pee then makes his way to the kitchen.

Why did he get up this early? He never wakes up this early without me waking him. He returns back with the food he bought last night into a plate. He sits down on the couch, turns on the tv and completely ignores me while I stand by the bedside table with my phone in my hand pretending like I'm occupied and couldn't care less about his existence in the room when really I'm just staring at the homepage thinking about everything that happened last night as well as why he's ignoring me.

I make my way over to him on the couch while he looks at the tv and eats his food, he completely ignores me and just stares at the tv show which I assume is the same fighting show I was pretending to watch when he got out of the bathroom a few nights ago.

''Can I use your bathroom to shower?'' I ask after a few moments of silence from the two of us.

''Yeah'' I can't bear to see the look on his face when I do.

I get up from my spot, change into jeans and a t-shirt then make my way outside. I see everyone scattered around the area but I spot Kate and Easton talking over by a tree. They already ate breakfast but they sit with me while I eat mine. After breakfast, Kate and I ask Ms. Wilber if we can head to the bathroom and take a shower and get cleaned up before we continue to move today and she granted us permission. Kate and I get our things and make our way to the showers.

I take a warm shower hoping it would relax me and help distract me from all that has happened last night but it doesn't. It does for a while then Hero pops back into my bed and the words he said to me keep replaying in my head. 'I don't have to tell you anything, you don't mean anything to me' I know that I don't mean anything to him especially not in the way I would like too but he didn't have to say that, the words sore through me like a sword in my chest getting closer to my heart. He said it with such anger and hatred no remorse which made the words sting even worse. After he apologized I felt calm and a little better from his apology and his touch but the words still hurt me which was his intention. I can't stop thinking about him, he consumes my every thought and is constantly in my head ever since the day that I met him and I wonder if he thinks about me how much I think about him which I doubt he does. I know for sure that whenever he's with his friends he forgets my existence. I get out of the shower, change my clothes then make my way out the door to see Kate waiting for me.

As soon as we get back the group is ready to leave in the next half hour. We pack up all of our things and prepare for our next move.

The walk isn't tiring in the first hour but it gets exhausting after the second as the hill keeps becoming steeper and the rocks are larger and we have to dodge many on our way. As we walk higher up the hill I glimpse a cliff high above us on the top of the mountain, it's the largest cliff here and it's at the very top.

As far away as it is from me I recognize it immediately, that's the same cliff Hero took me too after we met up at the cave and that was our first very intimate moment with him grazing his hands up and down my thighs under my dress.

The cliff looks so far away and it's gonna take us at least a month of hiking to reach there, Hero knows this place so good that we only took about 20 minutes to get there and we were even further down the mountain at that time.

I stand away from the group while they continue to walk. I remember our time on the cliff, the view of the city was amazing but not as amazing as Hero's hands on my body, the feeling puts me in a state that I've never been in before and it erases everything from my mind and it's just me and him that exists.

I remember our time up there and it was going great up till when he got the phone call that was from Brooke that completely changed his mood afterward and had me confused. I just stand there reminiscing about our time up there, the best and the worst until Kate startles me.

''Sia what are you doing? Is everything okay?'' She asks and looks into the direction I'm staring at.

''Yeah, I'm fine'' I say and follow the rest of the group. Easton and Kate share the same bewildered expression as I walk past them.

We walk for another 2 hours with a few water breaks in between. The leaders explain to us the story about some artifacts and other mysterious things that we come across. Some of the stories are terrifying just thinking about it while some are just plain pyscho and the people who committed the crimes in here are not just criminals they're psychopaths. They finally stop onto a large open ground with short grass and a few trees around and they announce that we'll be staying here for tonight. We set up the tent and get settled in. I'm exhausted so I just get in, change into my pajamas and prepare for tomorrow then lie down. Kate does the same and we don't even look on our phones, we just get in and turn the lamp off and sleep.

I walk down the stairs then down the hall to Hero's place. I stare at his door ahead of me and gulp before I knock. I knock on Hero's door and he doesn't answer. I knock again and I hear the doorknob turning. Hero now stands in front of me with his hair messy and sleepy eyes. He's shirtless and just wearing black joggers that hang just below his hips, I wonder if he's wearing boxers underneath them? His tattooed muscular hot body is inches away from me and I can't take my eyes off of his hard chest.

''What are you doing here?'' he asks me.

Why am I here? I don't know why I came here but I don't wanna leave.

Hero walks up to me then plays with a strand of my hair then his thumb traces my lips. His calloused finger feels so good on my lips that I don't want him to stop. Hero then walks up even closer to me and puts his hand in my hair. He then lowers his face to meet mine and tips of our noses are touching and our lips are so close. I can feel his breathing on my lips and I want his lips on mine and just as I think that's what I'm gonna get, his lips touch mine for a second then he pulls away a bit.

''Who are you dreaming about?'' he asks and with that, I wake up.

I gasp as I wake up and notice I'm inside the dark tent.

Wait a second that was all a dream?

It felt so real like he was there and he was touching me but it was a dream.

I didn't think I was missing him, really I wasn't I continue lying to myself. I miss him so much and I wanna be with him right now.

Where is he?

I lie in the tent looking up wishing that dream was real and I was with Hero right now. I can't believe I dreamt about him. Ever since I met him he's all that I think about, he engrosses my daily thoughts that distract me from the present during the day and some nights he takes me out and with him, he's all I think about and now he invades my dreams.

I really can't stop thinking about him.
