Going back home was kind of exciting also because I would see my family after a long time. My mom had a problem with her phone, so we would hardly communicate. Well with my dad his phone was like a demo whenever he was home .it wouldn't work at all.
Each year at home, we would visit Kwa Zulu Natal. So, I would make sure that every time before I go, I would have set my eyes to all my friends that lived far from home. The Maduwa guy was one of them. Well, I would not say he was or rather is my friend but he was also one of them.
It was always so nice to see old faces after a long time. Well, I called the Maduwa guy we could meet of a Friday, because that Saturday I was going to Kwa-Zulu-Natal. He did not care to answer back, well I had it off with the Maduwa guy. It's been week since we don't talk. I guess we had reached our destination. May he be blessed. Thami and the friend got hooked up and they kind off exchanged numbers and only angles knows what is going on in their world.
Sibusiso is still around, we do talk but like we used too. Well nature forced us to or rather lead us to that space. His brand is also doing well in our African society. Mandy and Sphelele are on the side of Kwa-Zulu-Natal.
Sphelele was doing his last year in university and next year, he would a qualified teacher in the rural, teaching physical science. well allow me to say brains ran deeply in the family. I could not be prouder of cousin.
The last time I spoke to Mandy was had attend a funeral, two adults have passed on the same month but strong as he was, he survived the sorrow and she back to being more beautiful again.
And I was back home in Vryheid, my mother's home land. My mom was born and breed in that town. I had to come visit my grandmother or rather see, after five years of being not around her. We usually would swap. The first year would go to my dads' side of Kwa -Zulu-Natal and the following we would be at my mother side. The pattern got mixed up that we ended up visiting my dads' side more that my mother. Culture was too demanding in my dad's side.
Am find myself in the in rural area which I last visited five years ago and nothing have changed. The grass is still greener the tress is still up there. Nothing has changed, even my grandmother still looked exactly the same.
She looked more younger even than what I was expecting. One most traumatic thing I set my eyes on was houses I left five years back. Last time there were 5 houses in one yard including a hut. I could not believe that I saw with my eyes.
