Test Part 2

The skeleton was approaching at a speed faster than a walk but slower than a jog. Each step it took started to make Liam more and more nervous.

'Ok, the plan is I wait for him to swing his sword, I dodge then break the arm with the sword. I got this.'

Liam stood there waiting for the skeleton in a position he could easily dodge in. Once the skeleton was within three feet Liam started to feel how real this was, he could actually die if he make to big of a mistake.

*Swing*

*Crack* *rattle* *rattle*

'I did it! I hit his arm hard and it broke. My plan wor-'

After the skeletons arm was broken he gave no reaction, instead he gave a counter attack punching Liam in the jaw, causing Liam to take a few steps back to regain he balance. Liam was hit with a solid punch that might be thrown from a teenager.

'I gotta break his other arm.'

This time Liam started to move closer and closer until the skeleton threw another punch, and in that moment, Liam hit the side of its arm breaking it before it reached him. Liam's next fist aimed a little lower hitting the part of the spine that is beneath the rib cage but above the hip. Snapping it in half made the skeleton's top half fall back word.

The only way to kill a skeleton is by breaking the skull.

Liam walked over to the top half of the skeleton, lifted his foot above the skull.

*Crack*

[You have earned 1 XP.]

[You have completed a challenge.]

'With this I might be able to see what happens when I level up sooner than I initially planned, but safety comes first, so let's see what I can do with the challenges section.

"What did I get for completing my challenge?"

[You received 3 XP.]

'Not bad. I should be at 6/10 on leveling up at this point.'

"Challenges."

[Challenges]

[Dungeon Challenges]

'Is that it? Maybe I can unlock more sections by doing certain things?'

"Dungeon challenges."

[Dungeon Challenges]

[First Clear]

[Monster Killer]

[More challenges will be revealed the next time you enter a dungeon.]

'Maybe all dungeons have unique challenges, but whether that's true or not these challenges give some good rewards.'

Liam walked back to bag, threw the strap over his shoulder then grabbed the rusty sword the skeleton was using.

'I am ready.'

Liam walked down the hall way while trying to be as alert as possible. Soon enough he reached a room that had the same wall decorations as the hall way, but it was taller and wider with a three small wooden crates on some of the walls. Their were 3 new hall ways Liam could go to, one on each wall.

'This must be wear that skeleton was camping out at. Let's see what he had in his crates.'

Liam walked over to the first, and slammed the hilt of his borrowed sword on to the crate putting a crack on the top. After a few more hits the crate broke open to reveal it was full of paper.

'Paper? Why paper?'

Liam went to the second. Once he broke though it, it had the same contents.

'Third times the charm.'

In the third crate he found three rusted swords with the same appearance as his own.

'It couldn't hurt to carry an extra sword incase mine were to break, and it's also good to know this is here just in case I end up needing more.'

Liam decided he would head down the left hallway, assuming the boss would be down the middle. After a short walk he spotted the next room. During his walk he came up with an idea for taking care of the skeleton. He would make a dirt pile and hope the skeleton would trip on it.

'Dirt creation, dirt creation...'

In what seemed like no time at all he made a foot tall and thick wall shape using dirt creation and sticky dirt, leaving all his stuff besides a sword be hind it.

'The plan is I run in there get the skeleton's attention and run back past this wall hoping he trips, if not than good thing I brought a sword.'

Liam started to jog into the room that looked identical to the last.

'There's two skeletons, but neither of them have weapons. Change of plans I'm just gonna take them out.'

The skeletons where on opposite sides of the room making it easy for Liam to take them one by one. Liam sprinted to the one on the left. Once he reached the perfect distance to swing his sword at the skeleton, he executed, cutting the skeleton in half and quickly stomping his head.

[You have earned 1 XP.]

Liam quickly disposed of the second in the same manner.

[You have earned 1 XP.]

'Not bad, I'm getting pretty good at this.'

Liam grabbed his stuff and headed down the next hall. When he was in sight of the door to the next room he built the same type of dirt wall as before. With the same plan in mind.

'This should be easy, just scout and run.'

When Liam entered the room he saw three skeletons one with a slightly rusted shield about two feet tall and wide and the other two with swords the same as before, but this time they where in a group and they noticed him too.

'Looks like it's time to run.'

Liam's foot steps were pounding the ground as he ran, trying to get behind the wall. After he got past the wall he looked back and saw the skeletons running in formation with the shield in the front and the swords in the back.

'If my plan doesn't work I think I might be in big trouble!'

Liam waited about ten or so feet from the wall to see if the skeletons would trip. Once the skeletons got to the wall the shield one stepped over it, while the other two tripped.

[You have earned 1 XP.]

One of the skeletons that tripped hit his skull on the ground and died, while the other fell and broke his arm without the sword.

'Well that's one down, but I still got two!'

Liam noticed the shield skeleton's shield was a little rusty, so in hopes of breaking it he swung his sword at it. Hearing the metal break Liam was filled with excitement until he saw what metal broke. Seeing only half of his sword Liam ran and ran until he was in the room with the crates.

'What's going on I thought F rank was easy? I think I should stay here for a while and prepare my self better for this fight.'
