In the split second I needed to catch myself again, Deku and put a few steps of distance between us and waited for my reaction. I straightened up and stared him dead in the eyes with an expression full of hatred. "No fucking knifes." Deku grinned, malice coating his lips like a thick paste. "No fucking quirks." I lunged at him as an answer.
He barely dodged and staggered a bit, giving me the chance to land a hit. When I tried to get another one in, he grabbed my arm, used it to turn me around and rendered me immobile by pinning my arms to my back. "Oops."
I can't really recall how it happened, but I rammed the back of my head into Dekus nose. He immediately let go of me and clutched his hands around it. I turned around, my elbow out to hit him, but Deku ducked. When he came up again, he socked me in the jaw.
The power of his punch made me stumble back into the middle of my room. I rubbed my jaw, watching Deku examine the blood from his bloody nose on his hands. "Fucking hell Deku, this makes me look like that plump shit of a fighter from the gym scene in the Bruce Lee movie."
He chuckled, wiping his nose. "Well, a fight is not about the fighter, it's about the opponent. Maybe you are a plump shit of a fighter." I growled. "And who's the provoking little shit now?!" "Me. Because now, I feel like fighting."
Having said that, Deku came at me and repeatedly threw punches at my face. I waited for an opening and directed a punch directly onto his mouth. Before he had caught himself again, I clawed my left hand into his face and shoved him back against the wall.
Deku tried to push my arm away but didn't manage, then he dived down, out of my grip. If felt my fingernails scratching over his soft eyelid and shuddered at the feeling of his skin under them. Before I could turn around, Deku came up behind me and hit my face into the wall. If I had faced forward, it would've broken my nose.
I rammed my elbow into his stomach, but the blow wasn't strong enough to really hurt him. However, it distracted him enough to make him let go of me. I attacked and got a hit in, but when I backhanded Deku, he caught my arm and pushed me to the ground.
About ten punches scattered over my torso and my face hit me in the next five seconds. Deku was going all out, and he meant to injure me. The last one made me bite my tongue and the metallic taste of my blood filled my mouth. I swallowed it and let my already bleeding knuckles meet Dekus face.
He took the punch without budging, answering with another volley of flying hands. Never would I admit it to him, but he was good. Each one of Dekus blows was aimed precisely and hit home perfectly. I wished he had been this strong and quick in middle school. Because then, we could've avoided this.
I blocked the next few hits and managed to catch his hand. I pulled it to the side and rolled over, letting Deku and me switch position. His legs were easy to pin down, but not his arms, since he was still actively fighting me. Objectively, I knew he'd lose. But my instincts said not to let my guard down.
I took another blow to my face and spit some blood out. "Fucking hell, Deku you little shit." He grinned. "What? Are you giving up, Mr. Invincible?" My answer was ramming his face into the ground with my fist. Then I quickly nailed his right arm to the ground. His other one leashed out to me, but I dodged.
After I slammed my hand down on his left wrist, I finally had Deku pinned down to immobility. I puckered my mouth into a wide, crazy grin. "You fucking lost, pathetic Deku!" To my very fucking surprise, he just grinned. "You know, this is a pretty gay position we're in."
"HAAH?! What's that supposed to mean?!" I snarled. Deku had an expression as if he was explaining something complicated to a little child. "Nothing in particular. Everything you interpret is proof for what you think." If he assumed it made me think he called me gay, then he had just called me gay.
Somehow a self-fulfilling prophecy.
I was pondering about how the fuck to react and slightly spaced out. Deku noticed it and slowly shifted around to get a little more space. When I noticed what he was doing, he had already taken his chance. His elbow hit the crook of my arm, making me drop onto my left side.
Deku swiftly rolled onto my and lightly pinned me down. I just stared, not really getting what had just happened. Dekus grin deepened. "Talk about not intimidating without a knife." He stood up and placed his foot on my chest. "Even if you've won- I'll let it count because you had me for over 30 seconds-"
Dekus eyes flared up in a harsh poison green. "Even if… You might've won the battle, but you've lost the war." Then he let me go and walked out of the room as if he had won.
"Welcome to the new Izuku Midoriya."
