Chapter 26

When Dekus lips left mine, I had to turn away. I felt like I was being filled up with hot and at the same time cold water, starting from my face. I covered my mouth with my hands. "Dammit, your little bitch ass have given me the gay."

"What?" Dekus confused voice reminded me of the fact that he was still standing behind me and made me jolt. "You heard that?!" "No, I didn't. That's why I'm asking." His words were dripping with annoyance. I exhaled heavily, then I turned back to Deku.

He was staring up to me under half-closed eyelids. Nothing in his expression showed any affection. Of course not. The fact that I probably looked like a puppy wanting to be petted just made it worse. I felt so fucking inferior. In the end, nothing had changed.

Deku shoved his hands into his pockets. "Get yourself cleaned up. Blood is nice and stuff, but it's a malady to get out of clothes." I didn't have the emotional strength to talk back, so I obeyed. Not to mention the fact that my shoulder hurt like hell.

Ten minutes later, I was back in my room, just staring at Deku. He stared back, a sphinxlike expression on his face. "What's the matter, Kacchan?" I didn't manage to look him in the eyes. "How… are we gonna continue… this…?" Deku grinned. "Mostly like before, but…"

He came to me and rested a hand on my head. "With the difference that I control you. Sure, you think you won't let that happen. But let me destroy your illusion- the human brain is so gullible and easily influenced, in just three hours I could make you believe you committed a murder than never happened. Just how easily do you think could I convince you of everything I want you to think and feel?"

I growled. "That's called gaslighting, and a certain someone already told me you were good at that." Deku hummed in response. Then he ruffled my hair up. "This will be more fun for me than you, and you're the one who's in love." "Stop that." I shoved Dekus hand away from me.

Did he really think I was that mentally vulnerable? On the other hand, he made it seem like me falling in love with him was his plan all along. If Deku had been just a little less unpredictable…

Deku laughed. "You already think you'll be superior in this relationship, huh? Well-" He lightly caressed my cheek. "I'll let you believe you have the upper hand. And I'm going to break it." He gave me a look as if I was some kind of science project or experiment, then he left my room.

When I went downstairs later to make lunch, I found Deku sitting on the counter, examining the kitchen knives and murmuring things I couldn't understand. I lightly tapped my fingers on the countertop. "Oi, I'm gonna need those." Dekus head shot up to me. "You should sharpen these. Like, really."

I snorted. "Unlike you, I just wanna chop vegetables with 'em. They serve their purpose pretty well." He shrugged. "The sharper the knife, the more efficient you are." "Then sharpen them, I guess. If it's fun to you." Deku totted his head in response. "Later. I'm hungry. What are you making?"

I opened the fridge and took a few things out. "Mapo Tofu." Once I had taken the vegetables out, Deku grabbed a few and started peeling them quicker than the eye could see. I was almost scared he'd cut his fingers off, but he didn't. We finished peeling the vegetables in a few minutes, then I started chopping them.

A heavy sigh was audible behind me and I threw a glance over my shoulder. "What's there to sigh, huh?!" "You're awfully slow, sweetie." I almost cut my finger at his usage of a pet name. Deku snatched the knife from my hands and continued my job of chopping vegetables.

At least twice as fast as me, and I already wasn't very slow.

This way, we continued making lunch. When Deku took the first bite later, he started laughing. "Did you try making it extra spicy to get back at me or something?" I shook my head. "Nah. My old hag just makes it that way. Let me just quote her exact fucking words when I asked her about it:"

I cleared my throat. "The spicier the food, the more you sweat. The more you sweat, the better you can blast ass. This means, the spicier the food, the better my son is. I conclusion, more chili powder." I snickered. "Then she whooped my fucking ass for questioning her."

Deku almost choked. "Your mom is such a brand woman… Sometimes I wish my mother would've been that way. Then I would've probably been more of a match for you and you'd have gotten a few ass whoopings from her aswell." I snorted. "Don't get me wrong, I'd protect that bitch with my life, but if you had the choice, you shouldn't choose the old hag."

Then we finished our meal in silence.

Afterwards, Deku seemed to be getting ready to leave. I was already stuck doing the dishes, so I couldn't really intervene. I didn't try anyways, since I needed some time to think. He vanished with the words "I really thought you'd show a bit more initiative in your freshly baked relationship, but I guess I shouldn't overestimate your lameass."

What even was that supposed to mean? This guy didn't even like me like that, and still he was sinking his teeth into whatever this was gonna be like a hungry wolf.
