Lucifer leads me back into the castle. The tension around us is surprisingly calm but I feel nervous around him. Don't get too comfortable, Celine. I thought to myself. You need to get answers from him.

Sometimes my mind tells me what to do. Sometimes you can't even trust your own thoughts. Usually, people trust with their gut feeling. Mine is telling me don't get too friendly with Lucifer. Maybe I could cheat the bet. Find a loophole where no one can claim me. I just have to figure out what's so important about my soul.

There were a mass of people in the castle. And some were demon like with orangish eyes and gnarly teeth. Female demons look a lot different. Some were even beautiful with their horns, wings, or a tail. All of them have body armor. And all of which are staring at me.

Is there something on my face?

"Why are they staring at me like I have a huge zit?"

"It's your soul. Your scent they smell." Lucifer shrugs. "You're special."

I knew it. But I don't know what.

Most of the crowd are mortals like me but you can tell they have no soul. There is a marking on their forehead like they've been branded like animals.

"It's to distinguish between demons and damned mortal souls," Lucifer tells me. "Demons have orange eyes with horns, a tail or wings. Humans receive a mark of the sins they committed."

That's kind of like humiliation where everyone can see what sins they've sinned.

"So are they the ones that's preparing for the party tonight?" I asked.

Lucifer nods leading me to a room I'm familiar with. His office. The whole room smells of him. He must spend most of his time here. The desk is scattered with stacks and stacks of paper. Possibly human souls profiles and the list of their sins.

I took a seat because I was tired of walking around this ostentatious castle. I'm sure blisters already formed at the bottom of my feet.

Lucifer stands behind his desk searching through the stack of papers. It took him a few minutes to find what he was searching for. After that, he sat in his chair flipping through the pages finally stopping at the end.

Lucifer hands me the paper. I leaned over to grab it when his eyes settles on my breasts. What a perv. But I'm satisfied to know that I'm attractive to him. I grabbed the papers, my hand accidentally made contact with his and an electric shock went through me. A gasp escaped my lips.

What the hell was that?

Lucifer frowned at me. I guess he didn't feel what I felt but that was something I've never grasp before. Grabbing the paper, I continue to read what's on the page forgetting what happened a second ago.

"The Anima Mea will be untouchable, guided by light and darkness from within. A powerful warrior ready to take on the Underworld and the Afterlife. Anima Mea is ambiguous. Will be able to force both sides in surrender. Nothing can stop Anima Mea from its destiny."

That's a load of cow dung. Is that a prophecy? I flipped to the first page. In big bold letters is a name. Celine Harthway. My eyes meet Lucifer's in confusion. What does Anima Mea even mean?

"It's a prophecy about a special soul who will bring Hell and Heaven to its knees." He explains. "You wanted to know why you're special. This is it."

"So is this the bet you and God made? About this...prophecy?"

"Sort of." I have a feeling he won't tell me the rest of the truth. At least I know 'what' I am. How a virgin girl like me is a warrior that can bring Heaven and Hell to its knees? That is straight Ludacris.

"Does anyone else know about me?"

"Just my Father and I but Heaven and Hell know of the prophecy. They are afraid of what is to come. Some even formed coups to find Anima Mea and kill him or her."

Did he just say kill? Am I really that scary? I mean come on. Me? I laughed my ass off.

"How can someone like me bring Heaven and Hell down to its knees?"

"Trust me, I've been figuring out how. You're a human." The way he said human sounded like disgust. Believe me I did not want to end up in Hell finding out that this Anima Mea is me. Knowing that Lucifer isn't interested in a human let's me know that I'm just like any other soul to do his bidding.

"This human is ready to be locked up in a room where I can longer see your face." I tried not to sound hurt. "Preferably not yours."

Lucifer has this look I can't comprehend. He masks his emotions and face expressions quite well. I don't understand my own feelings. Why am I upset for?

I got up to leave but Crimson appeared before me.

I shall escort you to your own room, Celine. Follow me.

Not turning around, Lucifer says he'll see me at the party tonight. But you know what? I'm definitely going to look fabulous. Every male, demon or human, will fall at my feet. Let's see if this human can crash his party.

Crimson left me standing in front of my new room. I'm only ten doors down from Lucifer's bedroom. I walked in enjoying the view. It's a bit similar to Lucifer's room but not as luxurious or as huge.

The red sun seemed to dip low in the horizon letting me know it's getting close to dark. A few hours is all I have left to get ready for tonight's party. There is one problem though. All the dresses are in Lucifer's room. Do I really have to saunter my way to his bedroom and confiscate his closet?

If I need a drop bombing dress to look perfect tonight then hell yeah I have to. I just hope he isn't in there while I sneak in. Closing the door behind me, I speed walk to Lucifer's bedroom. As I got there, I pressed my ear against the door hearing any signs of movement.

Just silence.

I walked in almost tripping over my slippers when there's a beautiful woman dressed in a sexy lingerie lying on Lucifer's bed. The bed I slept in last night.

You can tell she's a demon. Instead of her eyes being orange they were ocean blue. Two sharp horns protrude out of her head, a circular crown settled there. Her body is slender with blue swirling tattoos covered her whole body which was mesmerizing to see. Lips were red like blood. She watches me in confusion then starts to sniff the air.

"A living soul is in Hell. How did that happen?" Her voice is smooth. I detect an accent.

When I didn't reply, she graciously slip out of bed her dark hair swinging and curling around her body.

"Answer me, mortal or I shall strike you down." There was murder in her voice. It sounded really creepy but I'm not scared. Not even a little bit. "I am Queen Kasna, bow to me human."

The only person that really scares me is the King of Hell. And I have the hots for the him.

"I bow to no one, not even Lucifer." I replied bravely. "I don't belong here nor my soul is tainted. No one can order me around."

Queen Kasna laughed. It was high pitched. It made me want to cover my ears. God, it was awful. A beautiful demon with an ugly laugh.

"Your scent is all over Lucifer's bed. What interest does he have in a puny little human?"

"Ask him yourself, lady."

I struck a nerve. Anger lit up her eyes making them even more bluer. She had her hand up maybe to hit me? Nothing happened to me but Lucifer materialized in front of me and Queen Kasna hit him instead.

"If you're fighting over me. There's enough of me to go around." Lucifer says.

I rolled my eyes. Walking towards the wardrobe. "By all means, get acquainted. I only came here for a dress."

Ignoring me they continued to talk in hushed tones. I scan through the dresses. One caught my eye. Inwardly, I squealed in excitement because it was a beautiful dress. It'll make men fall to the floor their mouths dropping. There were a pair of black four inch heels that matches with it.

I walked back out seeing them still talking quietly. They've seen me but made no comment as I left the room. Maybe they'll get their groove on but tonight I'm going to look gorgeous.

We'll see what kind of an entrance I'd make. Nine rulers of Circle of Hell will be here. I can't wait to meet them.

Queen Kasna is probably one of them but imma show her not to mess with a woman like me.
