CHAPTER - 9

They hid behind the bushes with Oliver's right hand on Jeremy mouth.

Jere : (Taking out Oliver's hand) What is going on.

Oliver : Don't talk. Just stay calm.

Jere : (As he yonder, he saw two manly figure in black suit, holding a flashlight, switching on and off) Who are those two.

Oliver : They are looking for me.

Jere : What have you done to them.

Oliver : You don't know me very well.

Jere : Is there anything I should be knowing.

Oliver : It's better you don't know me.

Jere : I insist. Tell me who you are. And why those two follow you.

Oliver : Okay. My name is Oliver Adryan. I was born in Nesher street – yael building number 18 room number 13, Haifa city, Israel. My father works as a secret agent in Israel and my mother works as spy in Turkey for Israel government. Me and my mother had not been in good terms because of this.

Jere : I don't understand.

Oliver : And I work as a CIA for the government.

Jere : But you are still too young for that.

Oliver : Nepotism.

Jere : Why do they follow you.

Oliver : My father's best-friend, Mister James tried to betray the government.

Jere : What did he do?

Oliver : He was planning to steal the bomb formulae. (He was pausing for a moment) Maybe he had a deal with the Russia. My father found out, he was heart-broken, you know.

Jere : So, did you father sent you here just because of that.

Oliver : No. I'm a hacker. I hack your facebook account, you remember. I hack the system, downloading all the formulae, deleting all the folders. It was my father's plan from the beginning, so he sent me to my aunt house. At first, everything was alright. When they know I was missing for about a month, they began their suspicious towards me.

Jere : (His eyes was wide opened) Carry on.

Oliver : The night when I first came into your house, you remember that.

Jere : Sure.

Oliver : I was on the run. Mister James know that if I could just go missing with all the folder being destroy, he knew it was me all along. He sent some men to look at my aunt house. When we saw them, I hop on the back door and ran. Until I heard your voice in your house. I was lying all about the strolling. I don't know how they find me out. My life was already normal, until Alice shows up.

Jere : Is Alice part of the run?

Oliver : No. She is Mister James daughter. They are after me.

Jere : Do you still have the files.

Oliver : Here it is. (Taking out a pendrive) The formulae are in here.

Jere : Give it to me.

Oliver : What are you gonna do with this.

Jere : Do you trust me?

Oliver : Sure. Take it and keep it save.

Jere : I'll take care of it.

Oliver : (Looking through the bushes) They are still linger there. Maybe they are confuse with the tracker. We don't have much time, they will surely gonna get me. If anything happens, remember, I'll always love you. (He hold his neck, kissing his lips)

Jere : With the future hold uncertain, I'll love you until my last breathe.

Oliver : (Holding his hand) Maybe, we should have meet earlier, when my life was just fine. No running, no hiding.

Jere : We will get through this for sure. Now, tell me, what should we do.

Oliver : Take the files and go to my aunt house. Ask her what to do. She will help you.

Jere : What about you?

Oliver : I'll distract them.

Jere : No. I don't want to leave you again.

Oliver : Do you love me. (He hold his jaws with his hand, leaning on his forhead)

Jere : I love you. (He kiss him for the last time) Okay, I'll run this way. (He sprinted away)

Oliver : (Running in different direction) Hey, wanna catch me. Come on, catch me.

Men in suit : There he is .

They chase Oliver. Jeremy watched them from afar helplessly. They caught Oliver.

Jere : I'll surely save you. Just wait for me

Jere went home.

Jere : (Running toward his home with a heavy breathe) They have taken him. (He slammed the door) They have taken him (He shouted)

Mark : What do you mean?

Gran-gran : Where is Oliver?

Jere : They have taken. I don't have time to explain. I need to meet his aunt.

Mark : Wait. Calm down.

Jere : We don't have time. We have to go. We have to go after them.

Gran-gran : What is going on?

Mark : Calm down and explain everything to us.

Jere : How should I even start.

Gran-gran : Start from the beginning.

Jere : Okay. (He take a deep breathe and start) Oliver is a CIA from Israel. His father works as a secret agent and his mother works as a spy in Turkey. His father best-friend Mister James tried to betray the government by trading with the US. He thought of selling the Bomb formulae to them in which Oliver and his father knew it. Oliver hack the files, deleting everything there is and running away with the files. He landed here. Now, his ex-girlfriend, Alice came looking for him. As he turn down the offer, they kidnap him. They are taking him back to Israel. The good news is he gave me the files.

Mark : What should we do.

Jere : Before Oliver was taken, he told me to go his Aunt. Maybe we should visit his aunt.

Mark : Are we suppose to go now.

Jere : Are you expecting some miracles to happen. This is not a fairy tales, we have to save him.

Gran-gran : Maybe going tomorrow is the best ideas. It's very dark outside and it's a bit scary. Maybe you should enjoy sleeping here, cause big day ahead.

Jere : Maybe you are right.

The night was long, longer than those of normal night. The moon was shining at west, with a sad face, Jeremy lamented on his bed.

Jere : (Talking to himself) Will you be alright? Or am I gonna be late for everything. I really do hope we meet again.

Mark : I'm sure he will be alright. You should take a nap.

Jere : What should I even do now. He is gone but the files is still with me. Should I go after him.

Mark : Do the thing which will never make you regret.

SOMEWHERE IN THE CABIN DEEP INSIDE THE JUNGLE

Oliver : (His eyes were bind with a clothes, and all his face was bruised, woke up) Where am I.(Then, he find out that, his hands and legs were bind in a chair where he was sitting.

Alice : Finally you awake.(Standing infornt of him)

Oliver : Where am I?

Alice : (Taking off the blind fold) I'll tell you after you tell me where the hell you keep the files.

Oliver : Okay. Then I better not know where I am. (He looked around, and saw a small window on his right, and a door infornt of him. Two man who dressed in black, the one who capture them was standing behind him. No other door)

Alice : So, you wanna play hard. I guess it will be more fun than what I was expecting.

Oliver : Why don't we start.

Alice : What can I do to get the information about the files? Hmmmm…

Oliver : (Yawning without hesitation) Try your best.

Alice : Hey, boys. Why don't we ….. ummm… about Jeremy.

Oliver : (Resisting his hand, trying hard to pull out his hands and legs) Let him stay out of this----

Alice : Why don't we capture him.(Shaking her head)

Oliver : If you lay your finger on him, I swear I'll bury you alive.

Alice : I never know, you love him so much. (Looking at the guard) Boys, call my dad. We found the files.

The guard gave her the phone.

Alice : Hello, Dad.

Dad : Honey, did you find Oliver.

Alice : Nothing to worry about. We found the files.

Dad : Are you sure.

Alice : We are coming home with Oliver.

Dad : What about the files?

Alice : The files will come to us.

Dad : What do you mean?

Alice : Don't worry, Dad. Let me tell you everything when I get home.

Oliver : I swear, I'll kill you both if you let Jeremy interfere in this.

Alice : Okay, fine. Tell us where the files is and will set him free.

Oliver : What about me??

Alice : My Dad wants to have a talk with you. Hurry up, time is running out. Should I let the guard capture your love.

Oliver : Okay. Make sure you keep your words.

Alice : I always keep my words. Hurry up.

Oliver : I gave the files to Jeremy. He keep it very safe.

Alice : Boys. (She waves her hand to put Oliver backs to his deep sleep)

Oliver : Hey, you promise me. (His back was hit by one of the guard in which he was fallen into deep sleep)

Alice : (Calling Jeremy in Oliver phone. When he pick up) Hello.

Jere : Hey, Oliver. Where are you? I'm worried sick. (Pausing for a moment) Why does your voice sounds like a women

Alice : It is because I'm Alice.

Jere : What have you done to him? Where is he? Is he alright?

Alice : He will be alright if you bring the files.

Jere : Where is that?

Alice : I'll send you the location.

Jere : I'm waiting.

Alice : (She off the phone call) This will be fun.

Jere : (A message was just in. It was from Oliver ) Meet me at Abandoned brutalist style building in Bat Galim district of Haifa, North Mediterranean coast of Israel. Don't be late, time is running out. We'll there on Saturday, hope you show up or your so called boyfriend is finish.

Jeremy had a sleepless night. Thinking about Oliver. Overthinking takes his time. In no time the sun rises.

Mark : Wake up, Jeremy. (Slapping his face).

Jere : When did I fall asleep. (Yawning with a sleepy head)

Mark : We need to go. Oliver is waiting for you. Don't you wanna save him.

Jere : Oh! My --- I almost forget. (Waking up from his bed, rushing to rinse his face. Putting his clothes on) I'm ready.

Mark : Where is gran-gran?

Jere : She may be in the field already.

Mark : Don't you wanna get her blessing.

Jere : We don't have time.

They rushed to the bus parking. Waiting for the bus. Hopping onto it. Reaching Oliver Aunt house.

Jere : (Knocking the door, repeatedly) Open the door.

Mark : Calm down, Jeremy. Oliver will be just fine.

Jere : You still wants me to chill.

A house-maid opened the door.

Jere : Where is Aunt?

House-maid : She is coming.

Aunt : Who is it?

House-maid : It's Jeremy and his friend …. What is your name by the way (Pointing Mark)

Mark : Mark. The name is Mark.

House-maid : It's Jeremy and his friend Mark.

Aunt : What happen Jeremy. (The house-maid went inside)

Jere : They have taken him.

Aunt : Wait. (Being confused) Who has taken whom?

Jere : (With a pale face, continuing) They have taken him.

Aunt : What do you mean by that.

Mark : Slow down, Jeremy. (He step forth and explained) Oliver was captured by Alice. They have taken him back to Israel. Now, they are demanding Jeremy to go there. And Oliver told us to get help from you.

Aunt : (She touched her chest) How did she find you out.

Mark : She used a tracker.

Jere : (Showing the Address in his phone to Oliver's Aunt) Here it is. They want me to go there with the files.

Aunt : Will you be alright there.

Jere : Of course, I'm a grown up man. I can take care of myself.

Mark : I wanna go with you, Jeremy.

Jere : Are you insane. You stay here and wait for our return.

Aunt : Okay. Let's get it done.

They rushed to the airport.

Aunt : Are you sure you gonna be okay?

Mark : I can go with you.

Jere : I'll be alright. Don't you worry. We will return safely.

Aunt : Make sure you stay safe.

AT THE ABANDONED BUILDING

Alice : So, you have come in time.

Jere : I don't joke around with life.

Alice Dad : Where is the files?

Jere : Where is Oliver?

Alice Dad : You are joking right?

Jere : Do I look like I'm joking. (Taking out the pendrive) Here it is, give me my Oliver and I'll give you back your pendrive.

Alice Dad : You should know, there are time bombs in this area. I put them all, give me your pendrive and leave if you wanna save yourself.

Jere : It seems you don't want your files. (He let it fall on the ground, about to stamped on it).

Alice Dad : Wait! Don't do that.

Jere : I want my Oliver. An exchange will do it.

Alice : You are hard to dealt with. Maybe we should just kill you here with Oliver.

Jere : Well, I am ready to with Oliver…. And with the files.

Alice Dad : Stop. (He told his guard to bring out Oliver)

They brought out Oliver, all his face were bruised. And badly hurt. His hand was cuffed and his legs as well. And a blood on his nose and his mouth.

Jere : How could you do it to him.

Oliver : (Smirking with his blood on his mouth) Idiot. What are you doing here?

Jere : I've come to rescue you.

Alice Dad : Hand over the files and Oliver is yours.

Jere : (Picking up the pendrive and handed it over to Alice Father) Can I have my Oliver.

Alice Dad : Sure. He is yours.

Jere : (Running towards Oliver, sweeping his face, with his tears) I'm so sorry I'm late. ( He cried bitterly).

Oliver : How could give them the files.

Jere : It's worth saving your life than that files.

Oliver : No! You don't understand. We may both die here.

Jere : There is no point of living all alone in this world.

Oliver : (He smiled) I'm so happy to see you again.

Jere : I love you.(His tears rolled down and landed on Oliver cheeks)

Oliver : I love you, too. (He cried)

Alice Dad : We need to check whether it is safe or not. (Giving the pendrive to one of his hacker)

As they injected the pendrive to laptop, the laptop explode.

Oliver : (To Jeremy ) What did you do.

Jere : You never know. That's just a back-up plan. (Pausing for a moment) Now, all the time bomb will explode.

There was a huge explosion in the building. Jeremy hold tightly Oliver in his arms.

Jere : I always wanted to go on a jungle trip with you. (Holding Oliver's hand, standing on a high cliff)

Oliver : Now, your dreams come true. (He pulled him in his arms and kissed him).
