Chapter Twenty nine

Nefertari could't believe how much time had passed since they had gotten home she could still see the look's on Shimon's and Aknadin's faces when they came back with Bakura and Marik along with some of their men who had survived the fight with Atem, Shada,Seto and Karim and not only that but the babies as well she had stayed in her's and Atem's room during Bakura's and Marik's execution, it was what they deserved after everything they had done and she was glade that they would't have to deal with them anymore and no one else would lose their lives or homes because of them, but she was still afraid even now she had nightmares of what Bakura nearly did or they were about him hurting her children but the worst part was that she could't bare to be touched by anyone most of all by Atem she did't want to keep pulling away from him any time he tried to hold her though he understood fully as to why she was being this way, and it only made her love him more she snapped out of her thoughts when she heard the babies crying and she moved from the bed to be with them she smiled seeing them wriggle about in their cribs she picked Asim up first trying to get him to tuck his bottom lip back in saying he was alright and then picked up Aloli and said the same to her and went back to the bed laying them on it and finding a few of their toy's making them both smile at her, and she could't help but smile back though her smile became a wince when Aloli grabbed her hair and would't let go.

"ah honey that's my mummy's hair" she chuckled trying to free herself now she knew how Atem felt when Asim did it to him which was every chance he got a knock on the door made her look over her shoulder once she was free and smiled seeing Mana standing there.

"Mana come to pay a visit have you?" she asked.

"of course also i came to tell you something else something that will really make you happy" Mana said.

"and what would that be?" she asked.

"Isis" Mana said with a large grin.

It took her a moment to work out why Mana only said her name then her eye's went wide and she asked Mana to help her with Aloli and Asim and she soon had them in tied against her in a sling and Mana lead the way to Isis's room where Seto and Karim were standing outside of they greeted her with a bow and Mana with a smile and stopped Mana from following her inside the room when Shimon came out with Aknadin which made Mana pout and she heard them say that she could see Isis and the baby shortly after the queen and pharaoh, Nefertari could't help but chuckle a little she smiled when she saw Isis laying in bed looking as tired as she had done week's ago and Kisara was next to her helping her to drink some water, she had taken to learning about healing from Isis since coming to the palace also her and Seto had become very close as well during that time, then she spotted Atem sitting in a chair holding a baby in his arm's he looked up and smiled at her as she made her way over to them.

"and who do we have here?" she asked looking down at the baby in Atem's arm's.

"Mahad...i named him after his father.." Isis said a little weakly from the bed.

"a perfect name" she said seeing the baby boy open his eye's and start crying.

"i think someone need's their mummy" Atem said.

Isis gave a week smile and Kisara took the baby from Atem and handed him to Isis it was a touching sight but Nefertari could't help but wish Mahad was here to see his son and to know that he was named after him, she jumped a little when Atem put a hand on her shoulder and gave a knowing smile since he was thinking along the same as she was they soon left the room so the other's could enter and see Isis the the baby as they made their way back to their room since it was also feeding time for Asim and Aloli she could't help but think what good friends little Mahad would be to them and them to him, after they were fed and more or less gone back to sleep though Asim started to cry as soon as he was away from his sister and he only stopped when she placed him next to her and they snuggled up against each other it was a heart warming thing to see, she petted Tanis head since he rose it when they placed them in their cribs and he laid it back down he had become more protective of them than he was of her she guessed to him they were like puppy's and they needed protecting, she looked around the room to see Atem changing and seemed to be lost in his thoughts while doing so, she smiled and headed out on the balcony to enjoy the last bit of sunshine also it had gotten cooler now, so she shivered a little rubbing her arms something she stopped doing when stronger arms went around her and she could't help but jump a little.

"just me Nefertari" Atem said nuzzling the back of her neck making her calm down a little.

"i'm sorry atem ...i really am" she said trying to keep herself from crying.

"it take's time to get over something like that Nefertari he tried to force himself on you not once but twice anyone would be shaken after that..and don't think i have't noticed you not sleeping due to your nightmares and it's starting to show how tired you are of late, during the last meeting you could hardly keep your eye's open also feeding our babies is also adding to that" Atem said.

"your right about that....but " she said.

"but what?" he asked.

"can you...make the nightmares go away again?" she asked.

"that i can do" he spoke into her ear making a shiver run down her back.

She turned around in his arm's and saw the most loving look in Atem's eye's that she could't help but melt into the kiss he gave her that she ended up wrapping her arm's around his neck as his held her tighter and she gasped a little when his hands, moved further down and it gave him the chance to slip his tongue into her mouth and it seemed to bring her's to life and when they broke apart for much needed air they were both flushed and panting in the next second Atem had her in his arms and lead her back inside she was going to say that they could't do it with the babies in the room but he kept walking heading for the wash chamber that way if the babies did wake they were't far away and they were't leaving them on their own and Tanis was still laying at the foot of their crib so they were perfectly safe and before she knew Atem had put her back down on her feet though he still stood behind her and she could't help shiver when he pushed the straps of her dress down past her shoulders and after a second or two she let it fall to the floor and she felt his hand's on her again but that's when she started to panic a little and her breathing became harsh and he stopped only to hold her tightly again and speak into her ear saying to think of only him and that he would never hurt her also how stunning she was and how much he loved her she felt her whole body heat up as he spoke and she found it easier to breath also in her mind she was't feeling Bakura touching her anymore she could just feel Atem just him no one else and she was safe she always would be and she lent into Atem her eye's opening in shock since she could feel that he had removed his clothes at some point but she was't going to bother to ask when or how he did that but just enjoy this moment, and she could't help but chuckle a little as he lifted her off her feet again and headed for the water.

Once in the water he placed her back down on her feet though there was no space between them and when he started to kiss her neck she could't stop the sounds coming from her she had't even noticed when her back hit the side truth be told she did't care and just enjoyed every second she got to let her hands wander and ended up in his tangled in his hair and tugged it a little which got a sound from him which was something little more than a growl which pushed them on and he lifted her and soon as she felt him inside her sounds came from her which did't even sound human at time's and she was't sure when Atem moved so his back was against the side and he was more or less holding her and she found she could't look away from those crimson eye's that held such strength but also so much love and when their lips meet again it muffled their cry's as they came.

After a while they just laid in bed wrapped in each other's arm's and their babies fast alseep Tanis laying on his back doing the same happy which made them both chuckle she could't help but sigh wandering just how lucky she had been to be chosen to be the Pharaoh's wife even though she had been afraid at first that she would't be able to deal with being queen or being in a loveless marriage how wrong she had been about both thing's she had gone from a world behind wall's and being alone to a world where she was wanted and loved and had those she could call friends and children of her own that would always be loved and protected from any danger that came their way though she hoped they would only know peace that was her wish for them.

"i love you Nefertari" Atem said into her neck since he had been placing kisses to it for a while now.

"and i love you Atem" she said back though she raised an eyebrow when he chuckled into her skin.

"what?" she asked.

"just remembering you saying that i would never get between your leg's any time soon..but good thing i knew you did't mean what you said" he chuckled.

"i mean i..well" her face had heated up so much she could't get her words out.

"but what i told you ..you can hold me to that" he said and she could't help but smile.

"in the next life you'll find me and fallen in love with me all over again..you bet i'm going to hold you to that..and thank you for chasing my nightmares and fears away my Pharaoh" she said starting to close her eye's.

"any time" he said doing the same.
