Chapter 25: Receipts

Sebastian led me towards the door of the restaurant to make sure that she wouldn't escape when we caught sight of her. I was still feeling pretty uneasy about this, especially the slapping part, but Sebastian was keen that we need to set the right amount of drama for the press to be remotely interested in hovering around us.

And if the photographer was the opportunist we believed her to be, she wouldn't miss covering the next, biggest scandal.

'Emma, we'll need to get her alone. How can we do that with the press all around us?', Sebastian pointed out the singular flaw in our plan.

'We can reconcile at the end. Once the press starts dispersing again we can corner her as we'll have a clear vision of her', I suggested.

'I guess that can work', Sebastian said and started rolling his shoulders in preparation to get ready. 'Let's break a leg.'

'Give me a signal if you spot the photographer. That's when I'll slap you', I told him.
