The Last Boss

That day, Samuel and Erika stayed in the flower garden until nightfall.

The temperature inside the tent was just right, and the warmth of the lights dispelled the cold breeze.

They lay on each side, chatting occasionally, from noon until the sun went down.

Erika felt relaxed, then she intended to lie down for a while.

In the evening, when the sun goes down, the wind gets colder and the moon is ready to take its place.

The glow of the setting sun enveloped the entire flower garden.

Erika leaned on Samuel's shoulder in silence, then decided to ask, "How are you going to get my parents' forgiveness?"

Samuel turned his head and kissed her on the forehead. "I have my ways. Erika, you just need to remember your words. If they forgive me, you will come back with me and settle down in Surabaya."

"Okay..."

Erika wondered how Samuel, who had always been at the top of the pyramid all his life, would ask for forgiveness from her parents.
