T-Tracking device?

"Counterpart? She shall take my place?"

"Yes,"

"Did she agree?"

"Not yet,"

"Then how are you so confident about her saying 'yes'?"

"Do you trust your brother, Liz?" He glanced up at me, raising his eyebrows and smirking. If there was one thing I knew about my brother, it was that he never backed down from a challenge and he would get what he wanted. He never wanted to rule and wanted to be a forever playful prince.

And that was how I was the next in line for the throne.

"Yes. I trust you, brother." I uttered, his smirk was turned into a wide grin.

"Then let's go." He abruptly stood up, grabbing my wrist in an attempt to run.

I dug my heels on the ground. "But where?"

He turned back to face me. "To meet her, princess beautiful."

He still tried to drag me but I was frozen on spot. I did not want to leave without knowing the entire thing.

"How?Where?Do you know the address? What if she is not home?"

He sighed, releasing my wrist. I examined my wrist to see if he had hurt me.

"You ask a lot of questions." He shook his head in disbelief before rubbing his temples. "Also, do you really think I'd hurt you?"

"Of course not!" I quickly defended.

"Then why are you examining your wrist?"

"Precautions. Safety precautions." I uttered, making my best impression of James Bond.

He laughed, shaking his head. "Someone here says she doesn't watch James Bond movies."

"I heard that!" I turned on my heel to face him as he made his way back to the computer desk. He leaned down and scrolled.

"You were supposed to! It was loud enough!"

After an hour of explanation of how he found out about my counterpart- which was running into her a few days ago in the restaurant- he explained how this was supposed to be a perfect, full-proof plan if the two of us played our roles perfectly.

"We should go and speak to her," I suggested.

"That is what I have been telling you before sitting you down and giving you a brief of what we shall do in order to make your dreams a reality."

"Brief?" I raised an eyebrow. Was it not the entire plan?

"Yes, brief. This shall be our part of the plan but there might be changes and things have to be comfortable for Charlotte to play your role. It can be quite difficult for her to fit in." He explained.

"Should we leave now, then?" I asked.

He shook his head. "No, she is not home. We have to wait."

I furrowed my eyebrows. "How shall we know when she's home?"

He smirked. "Well..."

"Well.." I pressed.

"Well...I placed a tracker on her necklace that I gifted her a few days back to track her every movement. As of now, she is currently in a park."

My eyes widened. "How big is the tracker? Shall she not find out? And why did you gift her something?"

He grinned. "First of all, it is really tiny. Secondly, she shall not find out because it isn't visible to the naked eye and finally, I just had to place the tracker somewhere where she couldn't realize it's presence. Necklace sounded a great idea and now she's wearing it."

"Did you run into her on purpose or?"

"I ran into her accidentally, broke something really precious to her, and paid it off with buying her a necklace." He explained.

"Why would you do something like that?"

He shrugged. "Maybe because I had a terrible feeling something like this would happen."

I crossed my arms. How was it possible that he would know something that I hadn't mentioned in ages?

"It was hilarious to find your look-alike. At first, I thought it was you wearing a pair of jeans and a t-shirt but then I realized it was your look-alike when that girl didn't behave the exact same way you would. When I knew it wasn't you, I bought her a necklace with a tracking device on it. Honestly, I thought maybe someday we shall need her."

"And we did." I smiled.

There was a click sound as the doorknob twisted. Samuel and I shared a panicked look.

I whispered. "Did you lock the door?!"

"There's no time for this! And no, I didn't!"

"Quickly, hide!" I ushered him underneath and the desk and hid with him. We had to squeeze inside the small space with me on top of him. I could feel his heartbeat increase rapidly and had a feeling that mine increased twice as much as his.

The Lair was a secret.

Who could've found this lair on the very first day?

The door opened.
