018 | hang out day (1)

Cassie didn't think about what apparel she should wear for today. She just grabbed what she saw and then undress her home apparel to wear a white t-shirt with cute prints of ice-cream, jeans, and black slip-on socks. She checked her reflection in the mirror if she looked somewhat decent to look at.

Satisfied about how she looked with the apparel she chose, she held her hairbrush to comb her hair straight because some hair strands were tangled. After she brushed her hair, she applied face powder on her face and then lip balm on her lips. She checked her reflection again in the mirror if she was good to go.

She heard a knock on the door of her room. "Yes?"

She had no idea who it might be. She saw it was her older brother, Theodore Sanders, who entered.

"What is it?" she scowled.

"You better not stay late," Theodore reminded. "Or else you won't be getting a pudding from me."

She couldn't believe what just Theodore told. "Is that a new blackmail of yours?"

"I'm serious, you brat," Theodore crossed his arms.

She rolled her eyes. "Whatever. I'm going."

She went out of her room so did Theodore. She had her bucks, phone, face powder, and lip balm in her satchel, so she was certain to take off.

She wore her red converse shoes. She was about to twist the knob of the main door to go out when—

"You forgot something!" Theodore made her pause her steps. She turned around to ask him what did he mean, but he threw a black jacket instead. "You're going to a cold place, so better bring that."

She forgot that she would watch a movie in the cinema with Samantha and Yvonne, so it would be cold inside. "Thanks."

"I'm serious about it, brat!" Theodore yelled.

She didn't mind what Theodore just told, but she didn't dislike him being thoughtful of her because it just meant he cared about her well being though it could a bit worth irking.

It took her 30 minutes to arrive at her destination.

She wondered if she was the last one to arrive or not. She would find that out once she went to the agreed meeting place.

She saw Samantha and Yvonne from the distance. "So I was the last one. I hope I didn't make them wait for long."

She ran to go to where Samantha and Yvonne were. "Sorry for making you wait!"

Yvonne shook her head. "It's all right. You didn't make us wait because Samantha and I just got here."

"So what should we watch?" Samantha asked.

"Samantha, really?" Yvonne expected Samantha wouldn't ask as such because she knew Samantha would like to watch some thriller or horror movie. "You were babbling about how you want to watch Forgotten badly yesterday at our group chat."

"Yeah, I did, but is that all right with you or Cassie?" Samantha asked. "I want to consider what do you or Cassie want to watch as well."

"I'm cool with what you want to watch, but I won't absolutely watch romance movies, so sorry about that," Yvonne answered. And then she looked at Cassie. "How about you, Cassie?"

"Oh, um, well, if that's what Samantha wants, I'm all for it," Cassie didn't mind if Samantha wanted to watch a thriller or horror movie. She had Samantha and Yvonne at least, so that was a relief. She couldn't watch a horror movie if she was all alone.

"Really!?" Samantha wanted to make sure. "You won't regret this, right!?"

Cassie and Yvonne nodded.

"Yay!" Samantha looked like a child who was delighted to receive candies. "I'll purchase the tickets and you can pay later!" she volunteered to purchase the tickets.

Cassie and Yvonne looked at each other and then giggled at how Samantha looked cute just now.

Samantha didn't take long to purchase the tickets. She raised it in the air. "I got our tickets!"

"Can I see the ticket, Samantha?" Yvonne asked.

"Sure!" Samantha gave the ticket to Yvonne.

"So we still have 30 minutes left before the movie starts then," Yvonne looked at what time the movie would start.

"Let's sit down on those chairs," Cassie pointed out the vacant chairs and table.

"Yeah, let's," Samantha agreed.

Cassie, Samantha, and Yvonne sat down on the chairs.

"I don't want to sound like someone who wants to snoop on someone's business, Cassie, but I believe you still have to fill us with the details about what happened between you and Mister Cinnamon," Yvonne was still clueless about that incident. "You told us that you'll tell us, Cassie."

Cassie recalled she did tell Samantha and Yvonne that she would fill the details. "Yeah, I will."

"Looks like it's hard for you to tell that Cassie," Samantha noticed. "If you want to fill us the details ASAP, you would definitely tell about it at our group chat, but you didn't."

"I won't deny that," Cassie admitted it was hard for her. "It's not like I don't trust you girls, but it's a matter that involves my best friend, so I don't know if she's fine with me talking about that."
