All companies that are under their insurance, were invited on the party that they organized, including the cafe where Diego's ex is currently working. There are three representatives per-company, overlooking their positions. This is also one of the perks they have for each clients every year to make sure that every one of their clients are updated in their new programs and also to attract non-members along the way.

Lisa sipped the bubbly champagne on her hand, while her eyes scanned the pool of humans having fun under the mezzanine floor where she was standing. She leaned on the glass railings, and pushed her eyeglass up on the bridge of her nose using her middle finger.

A lady with a coat on top of her shoulder walked behind her and joined her on her poor escapade, "You should try wine next time." she leaned on the railings too.

"It taste bitter like your soul Becca, no thanks."

Her friend giggled and drank half the liquid on her glass, "How is your mission with the guy?"

"Smooth as planned."

Becca's eyes found a familiar man walking through the crowd, to a lady wearing peach dress. The clothes that she chose for him to wear suits him, she praised him quietly.

"I wonder if they could go back together." Lisa leaned to her following where she was gazing.

"Hope so," Becca drank the remaining liquid on her glass, "I'll go get a bottle, come with me?"

Lisa smiled and hooked her arms on hers, "You think they have whiskey?"

"Hell ya' they should!"

Diego wore a turtle neck shirt under a black coat that looked like the one he initially received from Becca. He looks nice with a small gold ring hanging on one of his ears, his face started growing small beard which highlighted his jaw.

He walked to a girl standing in front of the counter, her fingers jumped up and down the marble table, repeating it consecutively as she waits for her requested mix. She felt a pair of eyes prying on her so she turned her head for a moment to look at a familiar smile, "Diego?"

She immediately noticed the face of a guy whom she had a relationship before, the guy whom she did not thought she would see again.

"Hi Nica." he smiled and waved at her, pushing away the people dancing around him politely.

"I didn't know you're out." Nica giggled, without the music blaring the whole floor, one can hear a strand of nervousness on her laugh.

"Yeah, seems like just a few months right." he laughed awkwardly in return, "How is it going?"

"I am doing fine... Yeah... Uhm— I should go."

"Wait, I... I need to talk to you."

"Hey, babe! You got our drinks?" a man falling a few inches from his height walked to their direction, "Oh, you got company. Hey man, name is Edward!"

The guy was too friendly for him to complain, he just looked at Nica with his confused smile as he shook his hand. "Is... Is this your boyfriend?"

"Yeah..."

"How long have you been together?" he asked Edward, not her.

"Oh, six years bro." he laughed but that answer sent his whole spine into oblivion.

"Si-six years... Six fucking years of bliss." Diego finally looked at her with a smile, "Okay then, enjoy your night with her."

He stormed out, Nica did not even bother calling his name and told Edward to just shrug him off. Saying that Diego was just a man who had a crush on her when she was in college. Well, the truth is, she was just dating Diego because of money.

He walked to the nearest balcony that he could find and threw the glass vase standing on the corner of the balcony to the ground. Is he not enough? Do everyone around him just use him because of money or the things that he can do? Not because of him as a person?

Those five people standing on the balcony all looked at him and decided to leave him alone, thinking that the guy was already drunk.

Becca and Lisa, were having fun drinking whiskey on the rocks, talking about things not related to business or her plans. Just some normal conversations they have been longing to talk about, but before she could finish a heartfelt laugh, one of her guards approached her and whispered something to her ear.

Her expression changed back into her poker face as she traced the whole crowd trying to find the guy that he was talking about, "Where is he?"

"Section 3, balcony."

"What is it?" Lisa asked concerned of what is happening.

"Talk to you later."

"Yeah, I'll just go puke."

"Luci, come with her." Becca crumpled her face into disgust when she heard her friend gag, "Run, okay?"

The guard laughed and left her alone to locate the bodyguard she hired, she actually pictured herself being the damsel in distress when she drink her consciousness down her throat for tonight but she was wrong. Instead, he saw a man, sitting alone on a wreaked table, ready to punch anyone that come near him.

"Hey." she did not have to yell because he immediately turned his face to her and walked near her, but instead of facing a sarcastic man, she faced a monster.

"You," he growled and grabbed her by her collar, making her coat fly out of her shoulder. He dragged and pushed her on the edge of the balcony, holding her collar and squeezing her neck.

Her guards present at the scene started pulling their guns out of their suit, but she opened her palms to them and shouted, "Don't!"

"You knew about this don't you?!"

"About what?" she answered him calmly, though half of her body was out the edge of this high building she owns

"What do you mean 'about what'?! You knew she cheated!"

"I did not know anything about you and your girlfriend, Diego. I respect privacy, now respect me." she looked at him in his swollen eyes.

"I don't believe you!"

His grip was too tight, she started seeing white dots in the corner of her eyes, "Then kill me."

Diego felt like someone just threw a bucket of ice over his head into his body when he saw her eyes ready to accept the fate he might impose. He then remembered the man whom he accidentally pushed off the building.

He let her go with a push and walked away from her, "Close the doors, bring us whiskey." Becca instructed her guards while touching her neck and her chest, they followed her command though they are worried.

"Can you tell me what happened? You are crying like a baby now." she ignored her slightly coarse voice, and asked the guy.

"She cheated on me, a year before I got into prison." Diego sat on the chair again, holding his beer dearly.

Becca opened her mouth but decided not to ask him if she wanted to kill her already and call it quits, "Okay, and you're just gonna let her see you cry like this you stupid man?"

"I loved her."

"Well, truth to be told, she didn't returned the favor." she walked to the slightly opened sliding door of the balcony and grabbed the bottle of whiskey and two glasses, that one of her guards brought.

"Throw that useless thing away." she murmured pertaining to the beer Diego had in his hand. She almost tripped when he threw and let it shattere on the root of her heels, "Not literally, geez." she sighed.

She walked to him and put the glasses down, pouring the whiskey on both of the cups. "You wanna get drunk? We don't have cognac, that shit is too expensive and I can't really taste anything good from it. Drink that."

He huffed, "You drunk already? You're acting... different."

He was pertaining to the way she talked, how she pronounced every word almost as a slur and how her eyelids are half opened. She usually does things professionally but Diego felt like some drunk ghost possessed her tonight.

"I just finished a bottle of wine and half of this bottle of whiskey. No, I am certainly not drunk." she smiled and grabbed her glass, "I am drunk if I randomly dance in the middle of the street or something."

He giggled, but she can still hear him sniffle, "I'm sorry."

"About what?" she drank half of her glass.

"For strangling you there, I thought..."

"Yeah, well, no you're wrong." she hissed when she felt a line of alcohol dive on her throat to her chest.

He looked at her, "I cannot give you ample advice Diego. Well, except for not getting too drunk for tonight, we still have a flight tommorrow."

"I know, I know." he sighed.

She looked at him in return and offered her glass, "Cheers for your fucked up lovelife."

"For my fucked up lovelife."

"Gān Bēi!"

"You are certainly drunk." he laughed forgetting how much pain he felt earlier.

"No, I am not. I am succeeding on making you smile, see." she smiled back.

He let her pour another batch of alcohol on both of their glasses and she noticed her getting on her old self again. The serious, bitch face rich girl who threatened him to kill his ex, "You don't have a leverage anymore, does that mean I'm free to go?"

She looked back at him after drinking her whiskey, "Well, you sure still can breath. I can still kill you."

Doubt it, I know what kind of person you are already. He thought but kept it to himself.

He looked at a coat laying on tiled floor and to a deadly lady sitting in front of him, looking at the moon above them. He noticed a reddish line on her collar bone, but it seems like she does not care about it, there will be bruise in the next few hours that's for sure.

"Why are you eager to find that person?"

"Oh Diego, you will never crack me open." she smiled not looking at him, "Nice try though."

He just laughed it off and grabbed the coat from the floor, he walked behind her and put it on top of her shoulder, slightly covering the mark that he made.

"Its getting late, we should go home." he tapped her shoulder and she looked at him tilting her head upwards.

"Are you finally murdering me?"

"Thinking about it."

"At last."
