Two Means Trouble

"What are you doing here?" she asked, surprised.

"Picking you up?" he said grinning.

She gives Bobby a glance over, he is wearing an old black ensemble, and she drooled internally cause he looks so good in it.

"Like what you're seeing, Princess?" he said, bending over, and held a bouquet of pink Stargazer Lily on her face.

He's already towering her on his six feet height and the boots he's wearing added to his stature that he looks like a giant over her who is barely standing on five feet.

She smiled playfully and answered, "Always." Accepting the flowers from him.

He chuckled, ruffling her hair.

He offered to drive her to Madame Bae's manor, so she ended calling the driver that was waiting on her to just go ahead for she got a ride.

"So, what business do you want to talk about?" she asked while putting on her seatbelt.

She just got a quick side glance from him then he concentrated on driving. She watches him maneuver his MacLaren out of the tight parking spot handsomely using just one hand on the steering wheel.

When they were out of the underground parking of the building. He explained to her his ongoing project of turning the abandoned parking building into an indoor recreational skateboarding place. He wanted her to design stickers, boards, and other merch for the store that he will put up on the first floor of the eight level parking lot.

Listening to his vision Dana smiled hooked on the idea of it. A multi-level skateboarding park, a specialized merch store, a coffee slash bar shop. It would be a one stop hang out for skaters like him out there. And she felt honored that he wanted her to be part of it.

Bobby looked seriously handsome talking passionately about his ideas of the sports he enjoys.

"We are now in phase two of the designing process. Xian,... you remembered him?" he asked, stopping on the red light. "He doesn't look that much, but he's an excellent architect. His family owns the biggest architectural firm in the country," he said after she nodded in affirmation, with a hint of pride in his voice for his friend.

"All the necessary permits are done, I'm just waiting to get the signed transfer of ownership from my grandfather's legal office."

"Oh! Grandpa is gifting it over," she said, teasing.

"Princess, it's a business deal. I'm buying it," he said bragging.

"I'm proud of you," she said laughing. Yet, she felt a bit of uneasiness when she saw Bobby's eyes turn softer after hearing those words. She pretended not to notice by turning her attention on the passing view out of his car window.

"You're just visiting Madame Bae or is she having a party?" she heard him asking.

She looked at him and answered, "It's a party."

"Well, if that's the case I'm running off after I dropped you," he said shaking his head in amusement.

"Yeah, that would be a good idea. We don't want the same thing that happened from before."

They both laughed at the memory of Bobby being trapped to join in one of Madame Bae's flamboyant parties.

"Princess, call me you have free time," he said as she got off of his car.

He watched her enter the side gate of the manor before driving off humming to himself.

Madame Bae's party was cut short because of some unexpected guests. Dana was left with a lot of free time before meeting Grand and she decided to start sketching designs for Bobby.

She is happy that Bobby thought of including her in his big project, the feeling of being acknowledged for her art gives her self fulfillment she always craves for.

Dana got so engrossed with her drawing that she forgot the time. She was in the middle of her seventh design when Grand called her that he is already in the coffee shop and he's been sending her messages.

She dropped everything and hurried to fix herself. In less than twenty minutes, Dana was out of the door. She was startled when she saw Grand, standing waiting for her with coffee and a box of blueberry muffins.

"I'm sorry, I didn't see your message." was the first thing she said.

Grand just smiled at her and handed her the coffee. "I've got you an iced latte. I hope it's fine."

She thanked him as she received the coffee. Grand asked her to walk across the street to get to the park and stay there instead of the coffee shop since it was too crowded. She agreed as she never went to the park even though it was almost adjacent to Madame Bae's house.

"What keeps you so busy that you forgot the time?" he asked her as they sat on a bench under a tree that has its tree trunk inclining to the man-made pond with turtles huddling on the side.

"I was making some design for Bobby's boards," she said.

His eyes furrowed and gave her a quizzical look. "Why are you designing Bobby's board?"

"I offered to do it as a birthday present for him. Then he just told me just today that he is going to start a new business venture and he wants me to be the designer for the merch he will be selling in the store," she said excitedly.

"Business venture?" he asked, with his left eyebrow raised up.

"Uhm, he said he bought the old abandoned parking building from his grandfather and his turning it into an indoor skating park with the help from Xian," she said with excitement in her voice.

Grand expressions turned dark and said. "Really? I didn't know about it. And I am his best friend." he said in a tone full of accusation.

Dana was surprised at how the conversation turned sour in an instant with the mention of Bobby.

"I didn't know you have no idea of his plan. I just knew it today." with his mood she decided at once that she won't tell him that Bobby picked her up from home today.
