Not Painful Enough

"What should I do now?" she looked at Wang Zhan, her voice trembling as her eyes watered, her heart fluttering with anxiety. "My mother would kill me," she whimpered. 

He crossed his long legs on the couch where his younger brother sat, with his hands still inside his pockets, he wondered where he went wrong with his brother. He was sure that he would accept the offer to have their father out of his hair. 

He blocked out Li Na's pitiful cries so he could look for a solution to the problem. What are there to make his brother do his bidding, he thought. He was still deep in thought when he heard something shattered. When he looked up, he saw Li Na's tears stricken face, and the lampshade that was on the bedside table was now on the floor. 

"Control yourself." he snarled at the panicking Li Na. "I'm taking responsibility for this mess."
