A Threat

"Say it again?" his voice was laced with a mixture of disbelief and irritation. 'How dare this girl to defy his words.'

"I said, I wouldn't go home yet," she sighed, observing Wang Zhan's annoyance. "Listen, I didn't come here to bother you. "I know my place, and I know I crossed the line tonight...I'm sorry, but I can't just go home."

Wang Zhan sat back on the armchair, cocked his head to the side, and stared at the girl slump on the floor of his living room, holding a box of Lego.

Seeing her hugging the box of Lego in her chest, evoked memory of Wang Wei pestering him to play with him with a new box of Lego almost every week when they were young.

He crossed his leg and lit a cigarette. He blew a cloud of smoke in the air, observing Stephanie on the floor. She looks irritated with his action. A childish pout is tugging the corner of her lips that she is trying so hard not to show.
