'Damn it! it has a point!' as much as I hate to admit it, the ball of light is right. I wanted to be a plant that doesn't have to do anything to survive and so far, the ability of a magical plant has proven to be exactly what I need.
But as an avid reader of webnovels, I am damn sure that being a magical plant would definitely bring me trouble! Who knows just how many cultivation webnovels out there has a mini-arc about needing a certain magical plant for who knows what purpose.
I once again gritted my non-existent teeth. 'So be it then! Since it has been done, then all I can do is to become the magical plant that is impossible to be acquired!' and with that resolution in mind...

Some time right after our main character entered the new world. The ball of light was still in a completely dark place. It then said to itself
"Haaaa... first one failed huh... Oh well, at least I still have a whole city worth of souls. I would definitely find someone to fill in the necessary roles of the Demon King, Hero, Sage, and New King!"
It then flickered a few times before saying again "You can do it! Let's go!"

So I begin to see what my new leaf can do.
For normal plants, the leaf is where most of the chlorophyl is located, which allowed it to do photosynthesis. So of course after feeling around my new leaf, I discovered exactly that function.

'Yep as expected. It looks like I don't even do photosynthesis. I just absorb them all into energy.' Another thing I noticed while absorbing the energy is that I can now store way more energy compared to when I was just a seed. 'Ah, now that I think about it again, I've became a waste of a plant if I can't produce oxygen huh... But I supposed that's none of my business anymore'
'But wait, where is my energy stored anyway?' I didn't have to think for long because soon I got the answer. 'My core?' the answer seem to come from my nature. Or maybe my DNA? Where ever it's from, only then did I realise that where my seed once used to be, there's now a sphere.
'This should be my core. Huh, interesting.' It seems that while my core can store energy, I can also just let most of my energy just circle or orbit around my core. This seems to be what my core did most of the time when I was a seed with the immense energy I got from the dragon.
'I should fill up my core. Having the energy orbit around my core looks hella cool.' And so the growing continues. One thing I did, was to start covering the whole dragon with my roots to absorb it all. It would take some time, but as a plant, time should be one of the many things I had. 'Que sera sera, that be the way of the plant!'
Other than growing my roots, I also worked towards growing another leaf. For some reason, it would appear that it would take a long time even when I boost it with extra energy.
As I was doing so, I suddenly began feeling that the sunlight i'm absorbing is quite... crude. It doesn't really make sense to me. That's when I realised the presence of something that feels more 'pure' compared to the sunlight. Without any hesitation, I absorbed it.

After I received Star energy, I noticed the speed I can grow my leaf has increased. But most importantly, I could see even more now. Albeit it's not a world of colour and only in a range of around 1 meter, but with sunlight being part of Star energy, it allowed me to see the outlines of many things. Actually no. With only a range of 1 meter, all I can see is still the dragon. Shame.
Soon, some time passed. I've successfully grew my second leaf, making me look more life a proper sprout now.
With a full moon hanging in the night sky, I soon began to see if I can turn my joke into a reality. When the moon appeared in the sky, I could feel the presence of another energy. Similar to the Star energy but definitely not the same.
And sure enough, my joke did become into a reality.
