He looked shocked all of a sudden. "I was right there when your father came. I hid and heard his conversation with his secretary." Yes, it was John it dawned me. "I heard the quarrel and saw you dragged out by your father. I was scared even to think of what happened, to think of you, and the one-night stand. Trying all these years to calm me. And you talk to me as if I'm cheap."
"One night stand did you say?" Tears kept rolling down. "No. No it wasn't." He said and hugged me tightly. "I didn't even know your name till an hour back." i said crying. we stood there like that for a long time. But I pushed him back and took my handbag from the floor and began to walk away.
"Please sign the contract. Please. You don't have to do anything else. That's the official way." he pleaded.
"I went to your home myself. They said it's been two years since you visited them. Your mother is waiting for you, you should know that. She is broken just like you. When I asked her about you, she said crying that she is really embarrassed that as a mother she doesn't know what you are or how you are doing," I stopped walking. "I thought I would be able to find you there digging your address from college. Your dad was angry. He didn't say a word till I left, I failed," I smiled as I cried silently. "But your mother called me and talked me about you a lot. She gave me your number she said that rings. She treated me like well, and asked me to let her know if I get to you," He told me almost at the point of i breaking inside. I nodded without turning. "Prepare the contract," I told him wiping my tears and walked out the door. In a quick glance, I saw him sitting down in his chair, his face buried in his hands. I couldn't bear to watch and walked fast out of the building. I put on the glasses and took a cab back home as if nothing happened. I wasn't sure how long I would be able to hold in everything. i went straight into i room the moment i stepped inside my house and cried myself to sleep that whole day, unable to function properly, keeping the matters of my head. The meeting with the most unexpected man and hearing the conditions of my family from his mouth broke my heart into pieces. i felt too hurt and embarrassed at the same time. I had no clue about how I an going to come up with the script for the 20 episodes as demanded by the company and felt stressed seeing the hopeful faces during the meeting.
