(Damian POV)
I sat in the darkest corner of the cell with my head against the wall. I failed to develop any kind of escape plan because I wasn't prepared for this.
I was hesitant on letting Maria join and this is why she's nothing but a fucking traitor. A part of me knew that I would have to hurt her or worse..kill her.
"Hey, man did you hear about what happened up top?" The guard to the left asked the one to the right.
He continued to ramble,
"The king sent Tonya, one of his loyal guards up top to the vampire king's kingdom. It was said that Angeline is living up there. That's where she ran off to before but get this..Tonya showed up this morning dead. Everyone thought she was alive, but the way she was killed she was 'automatically' sent to the dead body infirmary. Only certain people in hell know that kill, and Angeline is one of them. However, the king is not furious.
Angeline literally fell right in his trap, he let Tonya in knowing that when she found out why she was sent to watch Angeline, she would antagonize Angeline. He knew that if Angeline was there she would kill Tonya. He just wanted an exact location on where she was, and get this.. if everything goes right he's going to attack in three days. He plans on killing her; 'capital punishment' man."
By the time the guard was done talking, I was standing up and gripping the iron bars. "Hey, what day is it?" I anxiously asked the guard, "It's Tuesday prisoner, now shut up before I make you."
I gave him a grim look and walked back to the corner I came from. I didn't know how I was going to get out, but I knew that I couldn't let the king kill the love of my life. Then all of this would be for nothing, for nothing at all.
Just a way for the king to play with God and take away my life by taking Angeline's. I placed my head back on the wall and closed my eyes.
(The Kings POV)
I turned my focus from the stack of paperwork on my desk to the beautiful blonde in front of me. Her head was down and her eyes glazed past her folded hands that sweated as she twirled her thumbs around each other nervously.
I placed my pen down and walked over to the front of my desk and leaned against it. While crossing my arms, I stared at the blonde and let my eyes roam over her beautiful fragile body.
I imagined myself between her and her arms wrapped around me while her screams pierced the room and bounced off the walls. That angelic voice of her's brought my imagination to a mere mist.
"You called me?" she asked with a hint of hatred.
I chuckled, "Yes, I want you to work as a servant. You'll have lunch, dinner, and breakfast with me. You'll also clean my room and my office. The library is open to you at any time. Just don't be stupid. Don't try anything and don't make me regret keeping you alive, because believe me, baby.. you will die." I walked back over to the seat behind my desk and was about to sit down but was interrupted.
"You cannot and will not do this. I followed your plans and did what you asked of me to the best of my abilities."
I laughed a dark laugh and placed both of my hands on the desk. I leaned over just enough.
I wanted her to fill my breath as I spoke to her.
"I am and I will do it. You can and you will do it. You were plotting against the king and once again you should be dead, all of you should be dead. Yet here you are and there he is down in my fucking dungeon. I am the son of Lucifer, who is the son of Lucifer, who-who was the son of the falling angel. Do you actually think I play fair?"
"You're right my king."
She said as she walked over to the door. I winced slightly at the tone of her voice and nodded,
"Oh yeah Maria, you are to not leave this castle."
I looked up once more to see her eyes burning with fire. She slammed the door but not without calling me all types of names. She continued to ramble as she headed down the hall.
(Maria POV)
I pushed the door to my room open and slammed it closed.
"Stupid fucker!" I screamed in my pillow as I started to throw things around in my room. I immediately stopped when I heard a knock on the door.
"Don't you ever do that again." The king sneered as he pushed himself into my room.
"- and don't slam this damn door."
I gulped and nodded frantically.
"Good. You start today since you want to mess up and throw things. Clean this up and report back to my office once you finish your room and mine as well."
I held my breath until I heard his footsteps diminish.
I turned around and started to clean up the mess I created while mumbling incoherent words under my breath.
