Sally no longer abused and running from her past.

Jake getting better from his insecurities and ready to move on.

Maddie away from her parents and ready to start a new chapter.

Amy still depressed but getting better every day.

These four finally get to heal and turn a new leaf. Of course they still have obstacles to face. How many? That's for you to find out...

3rd Person Pov

Sally, Amy, Maddie, and Jake have their lives put together after years and years of being broken right? They got away from their parents and terrible home lives, they're almost done with college, they have amazing boyfriends and girlfriend, and an old enemy made friend again. Is there anything that could go wrong? Maybe I mean life is full of unpredictable things and challenges throughout your journey. Each one of our main four could agree they've been through abuse, neglection, suicidal thoughts, insecurities, and more that only they could tell you about. But this story takes place later, almost a year after, well more like to the end of the school year. Our four college students are ending that chapter and starting a new one. Shall we see how they're doing?

Jake's Pov

I walked out of the boys bathroom in my graduation gown and cap waiting for the girls to finish getting ready.

"Girls let's go, we're going to be late!"

"Why dark red? It clashes with my hair." Sally came out of the girls bathroom in her graduation gown.

"Come now Emo it doesn't look that bad."

She huffed as she finished braiding her hair. Amy and Maddie came out of the bathroom smoothing out their gowns.

"I must agree with Sally the color is atrocious and does not fit my aesthetic."

"Now come on kiddos it's not that bad."

Yeah, yeah whatever can we go now I want to get this over with so I can cuddle with my boyfriend."

"I agree with JD-lightful I have a girlfriend waiting for me, let's go."

We walked to the auditorium and found our seats. I could see Sally was anxious and sent her a reassuring smile as Maddie squeezed her hand. It took forever to get to me since it went in alphabetical order by our last names. Sally did well considering she was an anxious mess the whole time. It helped that she didn't have to talk in front of the whole school plus guests. She just had to walk up there, grab her diploma, and shake the man's hand before walking back to her seat and waiting till everyone else went. Unlike me, I had to walk up and give a small speech to everyone then grab my diploma and walk back to my seat. It was nerve racking because I could have messed up or people might not have liked my speech. Luckily it went great and nothing bad happened. After the forever graduation we walked out and Emily tackled me in a hug.

"You did it! I'm so proud of you!"

I chuckled, "Thanks Em."

She pulled me down into a kiss and I wrapped an arm around her waist.

"Get a room you two!"

I pulled away glaring at my brother as Sally snickered.

Amy laughed, "Let's go change then we can head back and play a game or something."

"Finally! Get me out of this thing!" Sally went into the bathroom followed by the other two as I walked into the men's bathroom. I changed into a pair of jeans and a red short sleeve tee shirt. I ran my hand through my hair fixing it before going back out. Emily grabbed my hands examining my wrist, nothing but light pink scars and lines still healing.

"I'm so proud of you JJ. You're doing so good."

I gave her a small smile, "It's hard…but I'm getting there."

"I know it is but you're doing so good and I'm proud of you. You know I saw this thing called the butterfly effect. Whenever you want to cut draw a butterfly on your wrist instead of cutting. Maybe you could try that."

"I'll give it a try next time I get that 'I need to cut' feeling."

"Whatever helps you. Now Amy was thinking Monopoly but with teams. I think it's time for the queen's reign to come to an end."

I smirked, "Let's go kick some butt and put the queen's reign to a end once and for all!"

Emily laughed as he left the building.

We headed back to our apartment and set up the game. Long story short Quinn and Amy won….three times in a row… Amy's unbeatable apparently. We put the game away and decided on movies and cuddling with our partners. The girls fell asleep along with Jack leaving Dee, Quinn, and I. We talked about having a beach day, apparently Amy's been begging Quinn to go to the beach now that it's getting nice out again. We were thinking about going either tomorrow or later in the week.

Sally's Pov

We got out of the car and found a table. Amy insisted on a beach day and apparently the boys, Jake, Quinn, and Damien, agreed last night while everyone was sleeping to do it today. Although small problem, unlike me Amy and Jake have been getting better and have stopped cutting so they can show their wrist. I've been getting worse, my mental health has been dropping a lot lately but if I said no they would've known something was up. The last thing I need right now is Dee snapping at me or Jack being concerned and worried for no reason. I mean I haven't passed out from cutting in years and it's not going to happen anytime soon...right?

"Darling aren't you going to be hot in a hoodie? Besides I want to swim with you."

I played with my sleeves, "I-I don't know JJ…"

"Is it your wrist? You've been better, it can't be worse then some pink lines right?"

"Oh, y-yeah right," I tried thinking of a good excuse, "I-I just don't want to s-swim…"

"Can you atleast take your hoodie off darling, I don't want you to over heat."

"I uh w-won't…"

"Sally you are getting better right?"

"Y-yeah totally…"

I gave him a small smile but I don't think he's buying it.

"Can you show me?"

"Uh n-no." I wrapped my arms around my middle.

He sighed leading me back to the car. He unlocked it and pulled me in the back, closing the door and locking the car.
