Armageddon 40

Kaosu who was now battered and exhausted from finishing up the horde and the remaining evolved zombies couldn't help but put his hand on his knees to take a breather. "Say Maximus tell me how much experience did I gathered from that horde?" Kaosu asks he now stood up examining his surroundings to just see a bunch of rotten and mutilated body parts surround him. "Host I don't know how to say this. But I think you broke the system." Maximus replied in a strained pained voice. Kaosu was alarmed and surprised by what Maximus said as he himself now reflected. " Well, you are certainly right about that. The max experience I can gather is 100 right but right now I defeated a massive amount of zombies and also 10 evolved ones." Kaosu said as he was embarrassed because the only way he had managed to defeat the horde is by using those zerdent bombs he made on the lab. Which was technically cheating and Kaosu now was a little bit scared and curious as to what the system will do to recuperate. "Host, as I checked at the system I think it will be not accessible for a while. Since this is the first time the system encountered this anomaly. I mean it's bound to happen going over the limit on the experience bar definitely would break the system." Maximus replied in a sarcastic tone in the end.

Kaosu who's in disbelief didn't have much time to think about it as he saw the Fallen was now in front of the leader of the soldier team. "Shit I know I shouldn't have left that man alone." Kaosu cursed on himself as he ran with all of his ability towards the Fallen who was now slowly trying to inch a kill and devour the leader of the soldiers. But at Kaosu's pace right now he knew that he wouldn't be able to make it to stop the fallen from taking a piece off the leader. "Shit! this idiot will kill the man!." Kaosu angrily said as he pulled out his photon pistol and shot. 'Pew!' The laser infused with zerdent energy shot out and barely missed both the fallen and the leader of the soldiers just a few centimeters. "I told you to leave that man for now I need information from him," Kaosu said in a monotone voice clearly exhausted while still seeking off bloodlust. Kaosu who was pissed at the Fallen still walked towards them emerging from the fogged-up battlefield. The Fallen now couldn't help but shudder and stood up and bowed towards Kaosu. "I'm sorry Master I will never do that again." The Fallen respectfully said as he stepped back leaving Kaosu to confront the kneeling Leader. Kaosu briefly looked at the Fallen which made him shiver in fear but now focused his attention on the scared leader on the floor. "Now why don't you tell me where Tianyin is?" Kaosu asked calmly while trying to hold in his anger.

"Eeck! Master Tianyin is on the Main campus usually in the teacher's dorm trying to court that monster Kasumi" The leader of the soldiers cowered in fear as he now held up his hand to cover his face from Kaosu. This information made Kaosu even angrier and couldn't help but punch the truck next to him 'Boom'. "Damnit! now everyone is treating Kasumi like a monster I really need to speed things up a bit the sooner I rescue her the faster we will get out of here. This university is a shit hole even before the apocalypse." Kaosu thought to himself as he now saw both the fallen and the leader of the soldier frightened at the sight beside Kasou. Kaosu looked beside him and the sight in front of him amazed him. because the truck he just punched was now dented as if it collided with a steel pillar. Not only that the truck was also moved a few inches just by one punch from Kaosu. "Wow as far as I know my strength is not like this" Kasou said as he now looked at his clenched fist. This scene made Kaosu calm down and think of the bigger picture. 'Hahh' Kaosu sighed and stood up walking towards the Fallen. "Please spare me! I didn't eat the man! I only ate the dead ones." The Fallen plead as he was scared as to why Kaosu is now walking towards him.

"This is a warning! You should always follow my order. And never defy me remember I spared your life I can take it back anytime." Kaosu hissed at the Fallen and just went back to the kneeling leader. The fallen stood there still shivering in fear of Kasou. "Now you shithead of an adult. As much as I like to kill you right here but I will be taking you, hostage." Kaosu said as he pulled out one of the dead soldier's belts and tied it around the wrist of their leader. Then he dragged the leader onto one of the trucks and started typing away on its computerized dashboard. The Fallen who was still cowering from Kaosu just stood back a meter away from him as he watched Kaosu outside of the truck. While also being on the lookout for any unforeseen danger. "VROOM!" 3 of the 5 trucks that were involved in transporting the zombies roared into life. This was possible because every car in the federation has an autonomous mode that can be controlled by Jiandong. This made for people like in a factory or bank business to make their delivery easier. The Fallen was amazed at Kaosu because he was not only well inverse in combat but also has skills like this. Kaosu paid no mind to the fallen and got out of the truck. "Jiandong close the door do not let anyone open it." He ordered into his bracelet. The leader of the soldier was surprised as the door of the truck was not shut tight.

The leader knocked heavily on the window of the truck pissed at Kaosu. But Kaosu paid it no mind and started to walk into the two trucks he left. He started to put a couple of Zerdent energy bombs into the engine of the truck. "Now let's go this place will be full of radioactive elements in just a minute!" Kaosu shouted to the fallen as they now ran into one of the trucks and started driving away from the scene. The trucks that Kaosu was driving along with the other trucks especially the one with the leader of the soldiers was now a couple of meters away from the battlefield. "BOOM!" A loud explosion emerged from their background as the last truck in the line was affected a little and started to swerve a little before coming back. "Woh! That was a close one. I almost thought that we couldn't make it." Kaosu sighed in relief as he now relaxed his back onto the driver seat. The Fallen just sat beside Kaosu awkwardly because he was still afraid of Kaosu. This didn't go unnoticed for Kaosu but still, he left it at is because he thought to himself a cannibal or a Fallen he must show his strength continuously, or in one wrong move someone could die. Kaosu knew that Fallen's has tendencies to rage if they're hungry or sometimes after they just ate. This was an example of the Fallen almost eating or killing the leader of the soldiers. Kaosu knew all of this because of Maximus sharing some part of his mind with Kaosu when they were in his mindscape.

"So I never really got your name." Kaosu broke the awkward air between them and asked the Fallen who now was surprised at Kaosu's sudden question. "My name is Kiro Merced master I was a mechanical engineer before the apocalypse happened." The Fallen Kiro answered respectfully as he now also relaxed himself a bit. "I see so you were and sought after man. I mean in this day and age Engineers and scientists were the most profitable job." Kaosu said as he still kept his hands on the steering wheel focusing on his driving. The Fallen nodded "Yes master before I was experimenting on a highly secret federation experiment focusing on incorporating our interstellar engines into our common day mode transportation." The Fallen blabber on. This made Kaosu curious about the topic he said and also how quickly the Fallen Kiro's personality changes because just a little bit earlier he went from a raging carnage now into this timid young adult. But the topic was short-lived as Kaosu now arrived at the tunnel he once entered with Miyuki to enter the Camp. "Now we're here but what I want you to do is stay hidden. I spared you because I want someone in my shadow always prepared for the worst-case scenario. But don't worry if you're with me I promise You will definitely not be hungry." Kaosu said as he now saw a familiar scene of the vault door he kicked wide open was now being repaired by a couple of workers along with high-tech pieces of equipment.
