Father's Card

Third pov.

The night was over so was the the case or at least that's was what Heart and Angel thought. They ignored each others existence and God forbid if they came across it was war ,as they both curse the day of their meeting.

Heart's cold demeanor was already bad enough but what happened few days ago worked as trigger.

Trigger to his stress , nightmares of past ones that were supposed to be suppressed deep in the back of his mind only making him more ruthless and frosty ,enough to fire people at glance but all these strong wall came crumbling down every night when there was no sleep to accompany him.

It was already a week since the dinner

"I say who has the bloody right to discard my decision ?" Hearts voice boomed in the office, it was true that he was known as a cold and easily angered man but that was never without a reason.

"Sir I.."

"Get out of the room and send in the Amel inc. files"

"Yes sir"

As the door closed Heart slammed one of his hand on the glass of the window trying to calm down and thinking how close was he on losing the project he has been waiting for.

There was ringing of phone , hearing it Heart answered it blindly aware it was from the reception "hm...ok"

So it was him Heart thought before straighting himself and waiting for the visitor.

He watched as the man behind this stepped in Victor Sitwat the chairman the only one who had any say in company decisions said "hello son" as he took in his sons appearance donning an light grey suit looking prim yet if one looked close enough then they can see the exhaustion behind his hard eyes but he ignored that fact as he believed that one has to give themselves up to find the goal.

Heart didn't greet back but asked "why did you put the project on hold when we are ready?"

Taking a sit" Your disrespectness is reaching it limits and to answer your question ,why can't I?"

Heart to his sit as well "what do you want, dad?"

"You know damn well son what I want"

Heart knew what his father was pointing at so he asked "why are you in such a hurry? That you went to this extend as holding the project that could be the answer to many issues that we've been dealing with "

"You ask why I'm in hurry? Heart , I've been working on finding solutions to our problems to just like you but in a different way, why don't you see what I'm looking at!"

"Dad you call this marriage solution is that what it is?"

"Heart I want you to be practical us coming together with the Carson's is the right thing to do. They need us as much we do them and what's wrong with it when we are getting a beautiful girl as an addition to our family... Heart, Angel is smart and I know that she will say yes to this merge so, I hope you do to or you can start searching another ways to solve your problems."

Victor got up to leave and reaching the door he turned around and said "you know the last date Heart so It's your call"

And just like that he was gone, Heart sat there glaring darggers at the door clenching and un-clenching his fist.

Heart's life was turning into a mess, he had five days to submit approval showing his acceptance for the passed tender.

So five days.

While victor gave a visit to his son there was another father who decided to do the same with his daughter.

Dave Carson walked in his company branch studio where his daughter was working with trainees "Angel!" He called out to Angel who was busy talking to her personal assistant Alex hearing her father voice both turn to him and walked halfway to meet him.

"Sawadee khrup, khun Carson" Alex greeted him while Dave greeted back to Alex ,he found a grim look on his daughters face making it clear enough that she was angry.

Dave had given his daughter everything she has ever asked for though would see it as a replacement for his time spent on her, he loved her very much and even now he believed what he was doing was the right thing to do Angel was already twenty five even her wanted to see her daughter settling down..

"Why are you here father? Missed me again?"

" Can't I visit my office and how about we take a sit before talking"Dave said making Angel give him a mean look and walking towards the office set up for her , settling for the guest couches to talk

" Alex son why don't you take a break Angel will take one now too."

Alex may look like a quite man but he was no fool so he understood the situation very well and looked over at his boss that's Angel as if silent questioning her of she was alright or if she needs him here.

"Alex can you go an order some lunch all the trainees and us!"Angel said smiling at him.

"So father back to the topic, please tell me the reason for taking your precious time to visit me?"she said with blank expression to her dad.

Angel was aware her calling him this way might hurt him but she was angry and very upset with how things took turn she felt betrayed by her parents.

"I want to talk to you about the marriage proposal, look love your mom and myself have always made sure that you have every happiness and even now we are thinking the same thing"

"But marrying me off to someone I don't know is not finding my happiness for me!

I'm happy why can't you both see that! Dadd..This. is. The. Life. Do you understand this office the work , being surrounded by these people is life I want!

Why is it hard to understand?"

"Angel we both have different definition of happiness that's clear and haven't you had enough of work life.."

"Enough? What if ask the same question to you? Few years ago when on my joining day, do you remember what did you say to me?, You said where you are born it's your birthplace and where you work it's your workplace it's as important as birthplace because when you start to work it's not just a career that starts but a lifestyle that comes with it."

Dave was stared at his daughter he didn't how to react to her because as his wife reminded him again and again that fruits don't fall far from the tree and if that the case then he knew how to deal with her,

She wanted to inherit his business and he wanted her marrying Heart.

Angel was sipping on her mocha frappe that came with their lunch waiting for her fathers response, who took a deep breath then picked up his ice tea and said "fine, how about we strike a deal hm?"

"And what is that?"

"This deal is for both of us, all you have to do is marry Heart,.."

"Didn't I.."

"Don't interrupt me! Let me complete." He Snapped then continuing "as I said marry him and you can take over all my business as you aim. Now what do you think?" He took a pause then

" Take your time but make sure to grab it before the offer expires, for now eat up." He said picking his spoon and busying himself with eating his lunch and leaving Angel to think about his deal.

Even now few hours later both Angel and Heart were engaged thinking about thete meeting with there dad's..

Two car stopped in front of the house in seconds difference ,two of them stepped out and walked towards the door without taking in that there was a someone else to beside them when their hands collided when both tried to open the door at the same time, startled they looked at each other.

"You!" "You!" They pointed at each other then not wanting to talk Heart pushed himself in the front gate making a bee line to his master bedroom banging his door with a window shattering noise. Angel huffed and muttered muture under her breath, walking away to her room.

An hour later she heard another bang of door giving her relief that maybe Heart left to go somewhere, the night went on Angel had her dinner by herself the. Sat in the theatre room to calm down an think all the por and con of the situation she was in with a tub of dark chocolate icecream.

Heart had not left the house to go somewhere but he was in his basement where he had a small setup for practicing shooting sports ,a pool table and some bean bags.

Heart had been venting out his anger and trying to put his thoughts together plus he was staying away from her.

Now that both the father's had done their share of job it was their wives turn to convince or egg there kids towards this marriage. In their mind this was the best way to achieve stronger bond and better relationships not just on personal level but on official too.



Father's can be too much at time
