Chapter Sixty-One: Past: Unseen: Digging revelations

I had given him enough time to breathe, so when he turned back to face me, I gestured at the chair, placed the glass of brandy, and waited for him to make a move. He couldn't leave no matter how much he wanted to, he needed to do what I had summoned him for. Despite me, connecting with him and sharing my sympathy, I had people to protect to avoid this type of situation.

He took a deep breath, gathering his wit and confidence, he walked and took his seat. Ignoring the exposure he had allowed me to see, that made me smile, slightly swell with pride as I realized my wife had hired him for that. His quick notion to gather his emotions even after he's been knocked out.
