Chapter Hundred & Seventy-Six: Past: Past Lovers (Part Two)

The sound of the door opening was heard and she barely turned to see who it was, watching people come and go was enough to remind her that in life, you come alone so don't expect your allies to stay your allies for the rest of your life. One way or another, they will switch up, and if they don't be grateful.

The sound of the chair being pulled back was heard and she found it odd, cause usually when they entered the room, they always bombarded her with a bunch of questions. So she slowly turned her head, her eyes tiredly blinking but searching to see who it was.

"You shouldn't be here and you know it," she murmured when she locked eyes with the green-eyed man.

He watched her with an easy smile as they locked eyes and he marveled at her light hazel eyes, ones that matched her mother's but hers's were much more different. They stared at people with different emotions and at times they had a way of staring into a person's soul.
