Mystery Solved

"Calm down you three, there is enough food for everyone." Elder Frost said seemingly appearing out of nowhere.

"Elder Frost!" Mia suddenly said.

"Please call me Sir William." He seemed rather friendly with the trio.

"Sir William so what happens now that it's over?" Alex was very good at adapting, so he had no problem changing the way he addressed him.

"Have you heard of the Lazy Assasin."

"Th...the...The Lazy Assassin?" Tyler said with eyes wide open. The Lazy Assassin was not something to be joking with. He was an AA-rank Adventurer. He would normally accept quests from the guild and ends up never doing them but whenever he does a quest the story of it, ends up shocking everyone.

People say he's from a Bronze rank Nation, and that's why he's so good at what he does, others say he's a genius that didn't like being in the spotlight, but one thing was for sure. He was one of the nation's best.

"Yes. He came to the principal of the Academy requesting that we recruit slaves from one of our mines. He wanted all of them to join the Academy as Students, he also said he would owe the Academy a favor." Sir William was still quite shocked, after all a favor from such a legendary figure was priceless.

"Oh, so that's why! I was wondering why the Academy would let slaves like us join." Mia was surprised that it was the Lazy Assassin that saved them from their misery.

'What a coincidence! The day I was sold as a slave sent to the mine was the same day we headed to the Academy.' Alex felt shocked.

"But why would he do so much for slaves like us?" Tyler asked.

"It's related to the reward of lasting 4 days. Truth be told the test are much harder to get into the Academy and most people in Clover City have already fused with their elements by the age of 10."

"Then?" Mia didn't like the suspense.

"He said that at the end of this trail in specific there will be two boys who last 4 days, and he would like both of them to be his disciples." Sir William said with a sigh.

"WHAT? Th...the Lazy Assasin wants us as his disciples?" Tyler lost all composure, and Alex wasn't fairing any better.

"Yes, both of you."

"Why us?"

I don't know why, you'll have to ask h that yourself."

"Also Lady Lilia would like to see you." Sir William said with a smile directed at Mia.

"M-me, why?" She might not be as impressive as The Lazy Assassin, but she was still an A-rank Adventurer.

"I'm not sure but she said there was something about you that she found interesting. As for what that is I don't know." Sir William said.

After they had eaten their fill, Mia fell asleep right away.

Looking at each other Tyler and Alex followed suit.

'These kids, what's so special about them that would make him so interested in them.' Sir William thought. One must know that the only reason he came to Clover Academy was because of them.

Alex woke up and found out that they had been carried back to their dorms while they were asleep.

'Something is wrong here, why would the Lazy Assassin know any of us and want us to become his disciples. Much less we were brought to the Academy just after I was sold as a slave. Something is wrong almost as if someone is controlling everything around me.'

And once again he was lost in thought...
