The Beast race mystery (II)

Xieren had groomed himself, getting ready to leave as Akagi walked out with him, hand in hand and watched over as he slowly took off to the sky with his martial skill...

Several guards that noticed his presence, hurriedly moved away, hoping to avoid any trouble by offending the mate of their leader.

They hid behind walls and trees as his feet touched the grass, Xieren smiled as he took in the scenic view of the manor.

While his own Qiu Manor was several times bigger in size, his mistress's was not too far behind in appearance...

Taking in the golden carvings and electroplated tiles, he stared at the lime green building that illuminated in the moon light.

He calmly stepped in, nodding his head at the elders that quickly bowed, it wasn't long before he reached Kumiho's chambers when he heard her beautiful voice.

Xieren who had been enamored by her divine humming and found himself struggling to interrupt her, however, whatever they would be doing inside was far more important and so he did knock.

"Please come in, Your Lordship~" Hearing her seductive voice, Xieren gulped in anticipation, it had been several years since they had proactively desired one another...

His hand pushed, sliding the wooden doors open as Kumiho was seated, her legs bent at the knees and her plump rear resting on her lower legs, she was in seiza position.

Kumiho's hands glided through her musical instrument, a Koto, a musical instrument that held several strings, it was played with a person's nails and also various specific flat chips...

He sat down next to her, taking in her womanly scent, slowly but surely inching closer to her as she giggled at his antics.

"Did you miss me?" She asked my softly, her eyes glancing at his face, observing his hands taking in her tails and caressing them softly.

"It has been so long... of course I would miss you..." Xieren sighed sadly as she leaned on his shoulder.

"I missed you too... I thought you had forgotten about me..." She whispered, wiping away her reddened eyes that teared up, "Eventhough it took us five years to reunite... I still love you..." Kumiho stated, she had let gone of her Koto and rested her head on his lap now as his hand gently went through her silky blonde hair...

"And I too..." He smiled, bending downward as he stole her lips, he savoured her red lips, pushing her to the floor, his body pressing deep into hers as Kumiho closed her eyes, enjoying the moment...

"Now, I hate to ruin the mood but what exactly is going on?" He said and continued his ministrations on her slender neck.

Kumiho stifled a moan as she gazed at him with her half lidded eyes, it's luster intensifying as his hands groped her rear.

"It... is about you..." She spoke bashfully, breathing raggedly as Xieren moved away from her, Kumiho began to pull up her robes, covering her nude figure in the process...

"About me?" This piqued Xieren's curiousity as he now sat in full attention, hoping to get some answers.

Kumiho nodded, "As you know, our races had gone into hiding several hundreds of years ago, yet none of the historic scrolls have any information regarding 'humans'... So... what exactly are you, your Lordship?" She inquired, massaging the bridge of her nose tiredly as Xieren now noticed the several scrolls sprawled around the room...

"Even if you say what I am, I can only say that I'm human." He smiled awkwardly, however, he continued, "Anyway, leaving alone the question, I'm more worried about your statement... we humans have been told that your people went extinct, even I believed it to be true until I found out Shen Zhi without her illusion technique..."

"That means someone or something is trying to hid us..." Kumiho deduced.

"My hypothesis is that, your ancestors had done something with us humans, most likely our ancient kings, and got them to hid your people from existence..." He stated.

"But why? As far as we know, you are from a another world..." Kumiho pouted.

"Impossible. I found your barrier twice..." Xieren shot her statement down as she gaped at him.

"B-Barrier?!" She shouted frantically.

"Yeah, whatever you see, this sky, the moon and the sun, they are all some sort of advanced illusion, the beast race lives in the bottom of a valley where two famous human cultivators had fought on and created..." Xieren informed her as she trembled.

"But... the scrolls... are they fake?" She whimpered, feeling as if everything she had ever known had been a lie...

"...most likely" He frowned, grabbing a very suspicious scroll, as he read through the contents, he narrowed his eyes at a paragraph.

'A two horned swordsman... battle... devil... enslave... help... others...' Xieren shook his head, there wasn't much that could be decrypted from this ancient piece of paper, however, he just had a gut feeling that it had something to do with the beast race.

Back at the manor, Akagi held the little girl on her lap as she read her several scrolls containing subjects related to cultivation.

Seeing as to how the girl seemed down, she became worried and placed the scroll on the table.

"So... would you mind speaking to me about why you feel down?" Akagi inquired, speaking in the softest tone she could muster, her eyes seemed to encourage the little girl to speak up...

"..."

"huh... You know, when I was your age, I was just like you... always determined to make myself look the best in the eyes of my father... but he never did... and my mother blamed me for many things..." Akagi turned to Xiao Ling who had been staring at her face.

"..."

"I know that feeling of despair and fear... and I have been through it too... I'm not saying that you should deal with it just like I did, because we are not the same person, but just know that... If you need someone to talk to, I'll be there for you... and I don't want you to go through what I did..." Akagi then smiled at the little girl, patting her head lovingly.

"So, what is it?"

"It's..."
