City of God, Elyosa

On the far north of Logard land. Stands majestically a city called Elyosa, Elyosa is city that doesn't stand on land like other cities. This majestic city floats in the clouds, like Olympus in Greek legend.

The people of Logard called this city as the 'City of Gods'. In fact, most of Logard resident consider this city as a myth. Most of the inhabitants of Logard have never seen the city of Elyosa in person.

Certainly, it's not the gods that inhabiting the city of Elyosa. But people with high intellectual intelligence, they have the most advanced technology at Logard. One of them is camouflage technology that makes Elyosa invisible to the residents of Logard.

Elyosa never stays still at one point. The majestic city always moves slowly around Logard. Elyosa is surrounded by a magnetic field that acts as a protection, which also makes Elyosa invisible.

The 'City of Gods' has been around for hundreds of years and also has not had any direct contact with Logard residents for hundreds of years ago. An 'independent' city that rules over the sky. That is Elyosa.

Like a kingdom, the city was led by a woman who was given the title of Queen. However, Elyosa did not want to be considered as a kingdom, even though they used a royal system government.

In Elyosa itself there is a tradition that has not been cut off from hundreds of years ago. Elyosa was built by a woman who is said to be the 'Queen of Awakenings'. Since then, only descendants of the Queen of Awakenings have been allowed to fill Queen Elyosa's throne.

There are 4 noble families of Elyosa who are said to be descendants of the Queen of Awakenings. Firan, Windaga, Phallan, and Lumina. Every 25 years, a woman from the 4 noble families will be chosen to become the Queen of Elyosa. However, on the condition, that the woman must be 19-25 years old.

Then there was a phenomenon that happened to girls from the descendants of the Awakenings Queen. Right on their 19th birthday, they will get a unique ability. Every woman from the noble Elyosa family will have different abilities. That ability will be used to lead Elyosa. At least, that's how it should be. Even though in reality, now that unique ability is instead used to seize Queen Elyosa's throne.

This year, it is exactly 25 years since the current Queen Elyosa has come to power. Because of that, its time to takes a girl from the lineage of the Awakenings Queen to replace her position. There are only 3 candidates who meet the qualifications. Evalia Phallan VI, Loise Phallan VIII, and Tiash Lumina X. Meanwhile, the Firan and Windaga families do not have candidates who qualify to become the Queen of Elyosa.

The three candidates are required to find a man who will be their protector. A knight who must continue to maintain their safety. The knight called Xenatria, or often abbreviated as Xena, was a condition to become the Queen of Elyosa.

Evalia and Loise are over 20 years old. They already have their own Xenatria.

However, Tiash was only 18 years old. Approximately 1 month from now, she would be 19 years old. Even so, her name remains on the list of candidates for Queen Elyosa.

Tiash, a noble girl from the Lumina family with her silvery-blue hair, and bright blue eyes had just finished studying manners for the day. Every now and then she ran her fingers through her long blue hair. She has a straight hair but wavy at the ends that add to her elegance. Her lovely face smiled as she remembered the place she was going to go to.

As soon as she arrived at the garden in front of the main building, Tiash was intercepted by a girl wearing glasses with long jet-black hair. She wore a black blazer and pants made out of soft black material. Typical attire for a servant in the noble families in Elyosa.

"Miss Tiash, where are you going?" asked the girl.

"To the usual place. Yola, would you mind to accompany me?" Tiash asked the girl.

Yola smiled as she lowered her head. "Of course, Miss" she replied politely.

In a little haste, Tiash, accompanied by Yola, left her place to a library not far from Lumina Mansion.

"Miss Tiash, don't take too long, okay? Tonight, you have to attend a party at the Queen Palace" Yola reminded her.

Tiash stopped in her tracks, right in front of the library door. She turned her body to face Yola who was standing behind. "Sis! Don't be so formal when we're out of the house! How many times have I told you that!" said Tiash furiously as she folded her hands, peppered with her trademark spoiled frown.

"Ahahaha... Yeah, yeah, sorry," Yola chuckled at Tiash's childish attitude.

Yola is the daughter of the butler in Lumina family. Yona and Tiash are a close friend since childhood. Now Yola plays the role as Tiash personal servant, but Tiash didn't think of Yola as her servant. Tiash, who is an only child, considers Yola to be her own older sister.

Likewise, Yola also already considered Tiash as her own younger sister. But Yola must still maintain her ethics as a servant. Because severe punishment will be imposed on the servants if they cannot maintain an attitude towards their 'master'.

Tiash placed her palm on the panel on the right of the library door. After the panel that functions to scan the DNA works, the door opens. All buildings in Elyosa use this technology to prevent unauthorized people from entering anywhere. Of course, Tiash as a noble family had the authority to enter all places in Elyosa.

Tiash and Yola headed upstairs to the library. There were many small children playing. Their ages range from 5 to 7 years old. Upon seeing Tiash's presence there, the children ran toward Tiash cheerfully.

"Lady Tiash!! What are you gonna tells us today?" asked a girl while hugging Tiash's legs. "If you are a good child, i will tell you anything!" Tiash replied excitedly, greeted happily by the children.

From a long time ago, Tiash liked to play with children in the library. She doesn't have many friends in her childhood. How could she have time to make friends, her life was always limited by the rules as a noble family. The only friend she has is Yola. Therefore, she always sneaking time to time so she can leave the house and fill her activities in the library to tell fairy tales to children. At least, it can get rid of the loneliness she felt since she was a child.

"Sister! Tell me about Logard!" asked a boy excitedly.

"Nooo! My daddy said we shouldn't talk about a place for lowly creatures like Logard!" said a girl innocently.

Tiash was shocked hearing the girl words. Her face reflected a deep sense of disappointment. Meanwhile, Yola was silent while looking at Tiash from behind. Yola knew very well her feeling.

The local residents of Elyosa held their social class in high esteem. They have their own social division or 'rank'. The lowest rank is 'class 3'. Families born within this group rank are working families. Such as janitors, gardeners, servants, some even work for Elyosa's public care department, and other manual labourers. Then 'class 2' are families who work in the laboratory as Elyosa technology development researchers, Teachers, Artists, and many other occupations in Elyosa. 'Class 1' is the highest social class level in Elyosa. Families born within this class can join the Elyosa security forces or become servants of noble families, such as Yola family. But above all, Aristocratic families as direct descendants of the Awakening Queen occupied the highest class.

Despite her being born in the highest-class family, Tiash never likes that condition. She wants equality for all citizens. She feels that it is unfair if a person's destiny is determined by the class of their family. That's what made Tiash put on a disappointed face when a child said that.

"Sister Tiash! Why are you in a daze??" asked the boy who had asked Tiash to tell him about Logard, breaking the noble girl's reverie.

"Ah, I'm sorry," said Tiash who still looked gloomy.

Yola took a chair in the corner of the room, then put the chair behind Tiash. She rubbed Tiash's shoulder while whispering, "Try to more cheerful in front of the children, Tiash."

Yola's soft whisper succeeded in making Tiash's gloomy face brightened. "Alright!" said Tiash loudly excited. She took a hair tie in her pocket, then tied her wavy long hair. A light blue near silver hair glistened as she tossed it back before tying it up.

Tiash felt that she had to do something to change the mindset of the children. After all, they are the generation that will carry on Elyosa in the future.

"Well, I will tell you about the history of Logard," said Tiash starting her story. The children immediately gathered, sitting on the floor with a thick carpet, surrounding Tiash, who had already sat on the chair.

"Long ago, hundreds of years ago. There were countless kingdoms stand in Logard. The kings craved power. They always fought and fought for territory. Then they formed royal groups to increase their strength.

There are 3 royal groups formed. The royal group gradually turned into kingdoms. Finally, formed 3 great Kingdoms in Logard. In the north stood the stronghold of the Kingdom Rovan, they are famous for their strength of their military forces. Then in the Southeast, stood a kingdom known for its advanced civilization. The Zinzam Kingdom. Lastly, the kingdom which is famous for its abundant natural resources. The Munkan Kingdom which is in the southwest of Logard.

These three kingdoms only fought and fought. Many Logard residents lost their homes, possessions, as well as their loved ones.

Until one day, a woman who had extraordinary abilities, accompanied by a man who guarded her with great power, they led the Logard residents who were victims of war to build a very large ark. However, this ark was not designed for the sea. But an ark that can float into the air. The residents who were fed up with Logard's condition also got on the ark to get away from Logard.

Now, can anyone guess where the Ark is now?" Tiash gave the children a chance to speak.

"Uh... It's gone deep into space!" said a boy.

"The ark... Destroyed?" another boy continued.

"You are wrong! The ark has gone to a beautiful place where there is no war! And surely the women who built it live with the princes and live happy ever after until the end of their lives!" said a girl who was blushed by her own imagination.

Their answers amused Tiash and Yola to themselves. The two girls chuckled at the adorable answers from the innocent children.

"The ark, is now a city hovering over Logard. Elyosa!" Tiash replied, still smiling amusedly.

"Woooooooooooooowww!" The children were simultaneously amazed.

"So, that woman... is… the Awakening Queen??" asked the girl whose words had made Tiash gloomy earlier.

"That's right. So actually, all of us are also from Logard. Although we don't know what Logard is like now because we've never come down to land since Elyosa first flew up, but we shouldn't call the people of Logard as lowly being's. Do you understand??" asked Tiash in a slightly firm tone as she folded her arms.

"Yes, we understood!!" shrieked the children together.

"Well, that's where the tradition emerged for the successor of Queen Elyosa. The candidate for Queen Elyosa must choose a man who will be her guardian. Like the Awakening Queen who is protected by her Xenatria," continued Tiash. Without realizing it, her words reminded her that she didn't have a Xenatria herself.

Then the boy who had asked Tiash to tell him about Logard got up. He held a book that he rolled. "Lady! When I grow up, I want to be your Xenatria!" said the boy as he waved the scroll he was holding, like a sword.

"Uh! I'm the one who will be Lady Tiash Xenatria!" continued another boy, not wanting to lose.

"Then who is gonna be my Xenatria??" a girl stands between two boys who are 'fighting over' the position of Xenatria for Tiash.

Tiash chuckled at the children's playful behaviour. Gone all the worries that had floated in her mind earlier. "Those children are still innocent. We must always, guided them so that they do not think or act wrongly" she thought.

From behind Yola patted Tiash's shoulder lightly. Tiash turned to her with a beautiful smile on her beautiful face.

"Sorry to disturb your fun, but im afraid it's time to go" Yola reminded her while smiling back at Tiash.

"Okay kids, I have to go. Remember, to always be a good kid!" said Tiash a little firmly while pointing her index finger.

The children ran to hug Tiash in turn, making Tiash feel reluctant to leave the place.

Then came the sound of footsteps on the stairs leading to the second floor of the building. "Are you leaving already, miss?" said a middle-aged woman who had just arrived there while carrying the books she had just bought.

"Ah, aunt Claera. Yes, I have to attend the party the Queen is holding tonight" Tiash replied as she lowered her head, a gesture that no other noble family had ever shown.

Claera, the keeper and owner of the library replied with a sad smile. Only Tiash was the one Claera knew was the friendliest and most polite of the other nobles.

"Here, I have a present for you," Claera reached into her grocery bag and picked up a book. She gave the book with a plain black cover without any writing on the cover to Tiash.

Seen from its shabby condition, she could tell that it's not a new book. "I got the book from a man I met on the street earlier. But I don't understand the language. I thought, you might know?" she continued again.

Tiash opened the first page of the book. It's true what Claera said. The book was in a language that Tiash herself did not know which language it was. Even though she had mastered the Logard language, she still couldn't read it. A proof that the book does not use Logard language.

"Tiash, we can't be late," Yola warned.

"Ah, yes. Alright, aunt Claera, I'll go first!" Tiash said her goodbye as she bowed her body. Claera felt uncomfortable getting treated with respect from Tiash, who was noble. But that's just how Tiash is.

Claera also bowed respectfully, then touched Tiash's cheek, which was flushed red, beautifying the face of the noble girl. "Be careful, honey," Claera said softly.

Tiash nodded with a smile before finally leaving the library to return to her home, The Lumina Mansion.
