After I was settled on top of the bike, Kabir changed the gear cycle to the first gear. Sweat dripped down from my forehead till my neck and got wiped by the sweatshirt I was supposed to be wearing for the next scene. Kabir's hands went around my waist as he helped me balance on the bike. I kept on wobbling as he tried to help me keep my legs on the paddle. He suddenly gripped me tighter and my bike stopped wobbling anymore. I turned around to see him gripping the back of my cycle with one hand and the other hand on my waist. He was indeed a good teacher and having him around me made me feel comfortable. It was the same feeling I got when I was with Natalie. I could speak my heart out when I was with her and something told me that I could do the same when I was with him. I gripped the handle and tried to keep both legs on the paddle. Him holding the bike did help a lot. I did not talk to Dan for the next hour but somewhere in my heart I felt bad for not talking to him. I could feel his sad eyes on me but I did not want to forgive him. After I was confident enough, I put my thumb up to the director. He smiled at me with a fatherly smile and nodded. Lizzie touched up my makeup and I headed out to do the thing that I was scared of. My palms were sweaty and I looked around to see Kabir smiling at me. There were cameras everywhere and just the sight of being the center of attention made me dizzy. I gritted my teeth and made my way to the bike. Dan was already waiting for me with my bike. He had an apologetic face plastered on. I suddenly felt bad for him. I slowly took the bike from him and got seated. Everybody went back to their places and zoomed their cameras in. A man with a wooden board shouted Scene one, Take one. I gulped and closed my eyes. As the director shouted cut, I opened my eyes and plastered a smile. I paddled front keeping my eyes on the garden road. The cameras moved at the same speed on a rail. After I had reached the end of the road where the garden was divided by a wall, the director shouted "Cut". I was shocked by his loud voice and lost my balance. I wobbled around for a second and fell on somebody. It was not very later that I had realised who the person was. I pushed the cycle away as I heard Dan groan in pain. I turned my head around to see Dan scrunching his t-shirt as he was in very much pain. I asked if he was doing fine. He smiled and nodded. I let out a sigh of relief. I defended myself and told him that I didn't hurt him on purpose. He said that he believed me. I stayed on top of him for another minute trying to figure out what to do next. We met eyes and he whispered asking how long I was deciding to stay on top of him. I suddenly realised that I was on top and it must be hurting him. I immediately stood up and brushed the dust off my clothes. I helped Dan up and brushed off the dust on his back. He had gotten scratched by the rough bricks that were laid beside the grass of the garden. He was not able to walk properly and was limping. I offered help but he refused. I forcefully put his arm around my neck and walked slowly. I helped him till his caravan. I turned around to leave but a strong hand pulled me in. The pull was so forceful and sudden that it caused me to fall on Dan's lap who was sitting on the edge of the bed. We suddenly met eyes and I could see guilt in his. He apologized for what had happened and said that he was only trying to lighten up the mood. Tears started to fill my eyes again. I pulled him into a tight hug. His hands snaked around my waist. He whispered that he was sorry. I jokingly said that he owed me one. He chuckled at my words. I finally let him go and cupped his face with my palms. He smiled. It did take me a minute to realise how uncomfortable the position was and stood up with embarrassment. He ruffled his back hair twisting his mouth in a smile. He laid back on the bed covering his face with his palms. Although it was a cold day, I felt hot. I gave him an awkward smile and opened a small cabinet. Taking out the first aid kit, I walked back to the bed and sat on the edge of it. Dan was still lying on the bed covering his face with his palms. I tapped him on his shin and he sat up. While he pulled his sleeves up, I dipped a cotton pad in some antiseptic. I gritted my teeth and spread the antiseptic on Dan's hurt. He sat very calm but I kept on gritting my teeth and tightening my arms. He chuckled at my behaviour. There was a knock at the door and Dan allowed them to come in. I was still putting the antiseptic when Dan's assistant walked in. He was a handsome man in his mid 20's. If he hadn't put his badge , I would have mistaken him for a celebrity. He shrugged and he saw me and Dan together. Then smiled and walked up to Dan to whisper something in his ear. I tried to listen closely but could not hear a thing. Dan smiled after his assistant got away. He nodded and said that it was a great idea. After his assistant had left, I asked him what was happening. He refused to tell me and smiled. I was too curious to just let it go.
