Life in Oakwood High

Peter filled the form and left me with a girl. He seemed to be knowing many people there. I put in some thought and then I remembered that he had studied at this school too.The girl showed around the campus and then left me near my dorm. I first unpacked all my stuff. Then I went to the canteen for lunch. I saw groups formed on every table. One of the tables had a girl and a boy who looked like they were my class. They saw me and told me to come there and have lunch. At first I hesitated but then I took my tray and went to them.While having lunch we introduced each other. The girl's name was Emma and the guy's name was Adrian. We were talking when they started telling me the names of the groups. The first table was a group of three boys and four girls; they were the jocks. The other table had a group of four girls which they said that they were the meanest girls on Earth. I asked them why so they immediately shut their mouth. It was strange. They suddenly changed the topic and asked me where I had come from and which college I studied in earlier. I told them every other thing about my life at Bailey High. It was nice to meet them. Although we had only just met, I felt safe around them. I still missed Dan. Without him my life was incomplete. I was sad and happy at the same time. After lunch we were told to go to our rooms. There it was one room for two. So we did not have bunk beds. We had a type of a kitchen at the corner, a bathroom and the bed room was lavishly decorated. There were two cupboards. I sat at my bed wondering what to do since I knew nothing about this college and did not know who my roommate was. Suddenly the door opened and to my surprise I saw Emma. She too looked surprised to see me. We greeted each other. After some time I helped Emma unpack her stuff. We talked till we got a notice that told us to come to the hall. We rushed to the hall and sat there at the benches. After a few minutes everybody was there. There was a slight soothing noise of talking in the hall. I sat there silent when an old looking man wearing a black suit with a white shirt and a blue lined tie entered. He was tall and had black shining shoes. He welcomed all the freshmen and told them everything about the college. He told the rest to make the freshmen feel welcome and happy. Emma and I looked at each other at the same time. When we all exited the hall I saw everybody going to their rooms without stopping unlike Bailey high. I was really missing Bailey High. When I was going to my room I saw a boy and a girl linking their arms while walking. It made me remember Dan. I felt heart broken. In my mind I was only blaming myself and that stupid party I threw for him. I tried to focus on my new college and studies and not Dan. I was trying my best but couldn't resist thinking about him because every time I saw somebody with their boyfriend or girlfriend I thought about Dan and me. At night Emma and I had dinner together and slept. The next day after studying all the girls made plans to go watch a movie except Emma, me and Eva, another girl from my class. We both went to the market. I thought it is important to put my mind somewhere else so that I don't think about Dan. So we went to the market. It was very cold as it was snowing. We went to the photo booth, clicked many kinds of photos and bought the best ones. We were talking while going back. Eva told us that she was from Germany. She was also a freshman this year and had no friends. We agreed to be her friends. We had a good time. We went to the mall but got stuck since many people there had seen my movie, some wanted autographs. When I looked at Emma and Eva, both had their mouth open and eyes wide. After some time, when I finished giving everybody autographs they took me to a corner and asked about all the mess. I told them everything about the movie and even about Dan. They looked surprised. After some more talking when we reached back to the university there were many girls again asking me to give autographs. We were walking around the campus, when I saw a figure approaching me. It was too dark for me to see anything. As the figure got near, I could notice it was two guys. One of them was Peter and the other guy had a mask covering his face. Peter approached me and my friends. I asked him what he was doing here and before I was able to ask anything he shushed me. The other guy came forward. He had a smell that was very familiar to me. Those eyes were the ones that I loved. The actions of putting his hands in his pockets seemed all too familiar. I tried to figure out what it was but it was too dark and my mind was all over the place. I asked the guy what the matter was. He took off his mask. I stood there in shock. My mouth flung open. I rubbed my eyes a couple of times to see if I was dreaming. I was about to pinch myself to see if all this was real but the guy took hold of my hand and stopped me from pinching myself. I stood there in awe. It really was my boyfriend. It really was Dan standing there with a worried look on his face.
