Proud To Be Pride

A/N: Happy Pride Month! This chapter is dedicated to this amazing month and how strong the LGBTQ+ community is.

This is also dedicated to my amazing friend who is a part of the LGBTQ+ community. (E/N: Love you PP)

A bit of homophobia but Logan kicks butt! Enjoy :)

Logan's POV:

"Ready for your first day at your dream job, Professor Sanders?" Patton and I were standing at the gates of the location of my new job. I am a Science and Mathematics teacher for the local high school. Everything was ready and I was prepared for my first class. I was walking in when Patton pulled me back and gave me another hug. I wrap my arms around him and smile. Morality kisses my cheek and waves as I walk into the school to search for the classroom of the first lesson. My first class was in room 22 with Year 8 Class 5.

I eventually found the classroom and put my things on the desk. I had about ten minutes to get ready, which was more than enough time. I was unpacking my papers when three students walked into the room. All three were pretty glum and sad looking I started to wonder if all my students were like this. Soon enough all the young learners came into the classroom. I look over and judge their character.

There are a bunch of kids that seem to be a lot like Roman. Popular, full of themselves and have bigger egos than Barbie. They all sit in the back of the class.

Then there are the intellectually gifted people. Smart, tactical and good listeners. They sit at the front of the class and actually listen to when I talk.

There are the kind and happy looking kids with lots of energy. Some are laughing and saying jokes.

Then there are the shy and emo kids. They sit on the sides of the classroom or back. The ego kids pick on them a lot and I would have to intervene in their affairs sometimes.

"Morning everyone. My name is Professor Sanders and I am your mathematics teacher this year." I introduce myself and the class stares at me with blank and bored expressions. I begin to write some algebraic questions on the board when I hear someone complain to me.

"Professor! Veronica stole my phone!" One of the ego girls in my class, Kayla was pointing to an emo girl named Veronica. This has happened about three times in the last twenty minutes. There was a phone near Veronica's desk so I pick it up and give it to Kayla.

"Aren't you going to say something to her? She stole my phone!" She complains. This was obviously a set up by Kayla to get revenge on Veronica for some reason.

"No need to worry about that now. We need to continue class," I say to her and she gives me a why-didn't-you-do-anything face. I turn around to continue my lesson.

I thought this would be a nice way to share my knowledge and people would be happy to hear me talk, but I guess not. Let's just hope my other classes aren't as bad.

*Time skip to last lesson of the day*

Okay, last lesson. The first lesson was dumb luck. From what I heard from the other teachers, that is a bad class. The other classes were actually pretty nice and respectful.

Last class is science with year 8 class 3. I walk into the room to be greeted by two girls. One looking like the emo girl from my first class. Veronica, I think, and the other was a happy and nice looking girl who I haven't met before.

"Hello sir, my name is Charity and this is my bestest friend in the whole world Veronica! We just wanted to say welcome to our school and hope you have a great time here," she greets me linking arms with her friend who was looking at the floor .

"Thank you Charity. You made my day," I reply.

"Oh um, quick question... Do you support the LGBTQ+ community?" Veronica asks.

"Yes I do. Are you both a part of it?" I question and they both nod.

"I am bisexual and Veronica is pansexual (E/N: Eeeeyyyyy same - Panromantic Ace)..... There is a girl that keeps trying to get Veronica in trouble just because she is pansexual... Can you tell her to stop? Her name is Kayla, she's over there." Charity points to the girl I saw before who was complaining about Veronica stealing her phone. Now I know why.

I approach the young woman and clear my throat and she turns to look at me.

"Hey sir, what do you need?" She asks. I am really against homophobia and think it is wrong. The LGBTQ+ community needs to figuratively 'stick together' and help each other against homophobia. Charity and Veronica stand with me, Veronica looks to the floor and Charity stands her ground.

"I heard that you have been bullying these two students because they are a part of the LGBTQ+ community. Is that correct?" I asked her. She gave me a disgusted look.

"Yes! It's disgusting and I hate it. Especially people like gays and stuff." I was infuriated. How dare she say that?! Charity groans at Kayla and Veronica does the same.

"Well that is a very big insult to me and many people that I don't really appreciate." I had to hold back my anger, I can't just yell at someone. Especially since I am a teacher now.

"Why? It's true," she asked, not knowing that I was gay myself.

"Well I happen to be gay myself," I say. The whole classroom went quiet and everyone faced me, Kayla, Charity and Veronica.

"The LGBTQ+ community is not disgusting Kayla! I am proud to be bisexual and if you don't like it then you need to leave! Stop bullying me, my friend and others about it!" Charity yells. (E/N: YASSSSSSSSSSSS) A few students stood with us and nod.

"Are you all a part of the LGBTQ+ community?" I ask them. Each one nods. Kayla rolls her eyes at us, not bothered at all.

"Whatever."

All the students go back to their seats whispering and chatting filling the room with noise. I walk to my desk and sit down and begin to prepare for the lesson when one of the students came up to me and smiled. They have long brown hair dyed a bright purple at the bottom.

"Hello, my name is Izzy and I am a part of the LGBTQ+ community. I identify as female. I heard that you support it so I was wondering if you could help me start a club about it? To support people in the community," she explains before handing me a flyer with a pretty colourful decorated invitation to an LGBTQ+ Community Club. (E/N: *Internally dying because omg PP added me in this fanfic)

"I would be happy to help you." I said returning the smile. She bounced up and down excitedly.

"It will be at room 12 every Friday at lunch. Thank you so much!" She happily cheered before bouncing back to her friend in the corner.

So now I am helping Izzy run the LGBTQ+ Community Club. This will be good for children that need acceptance and support. Good on her for thinking of that.

The school bell rang and I stood up to finish the last lesson of the day.
