[Author's pov]
Gianna and Xavier reached at a big boutique store. Xavier took her inside and started selecting clothes for her without her knowledge. He thought Gianna always looked gorgeous in her floral one-piece dresses, so he couldn't just ignore her love towards something. He found a beautiful white floral maxi dress which would fit perfectly on her, and she would look even more stunning than she already is.
When he gave her the dress to try it on, Gianna came to know she was at a boutique with him, she gasped and kept her hand on her mouth to cover her surprise.
"Xavier? Why're we here? I am already wearing a dress." She whispered near his ear. Xavier chuckled and said,
"Just go ahead. I promise you will look even more pretty." Gianna blushed and took the dress from his hand. She was guided to the dressing room by him, and she changed her clothes. When she came out, Xavier looked up from his phone and went blank. He stared intently from her toes to her last piece of hair.
"Xavier... are you staring?" Gianna asked him when she felt this huge spark as if someone was digging a hole in her.
"Should I not stare? My girlfriend is the most beautiful woman on this planet, obviously I will stare." He shrugged, as if stating something very obvious. Gianna's lips twitched forming a smile hearing his words.
Xavier took out the scarf he had given to Gianna and wrapped it properly and carefully around her neck. Gianna touched the scarf and her smile became even more bright.
"You become happy for this little-little things..." Xavier exclaimed while tucking her hairs behind her ear.
"Should I not be happy? My new boyfriend cares this much about me." Gianna said and kept both her hands on his shoulders.
"Copying me? Of course, you should always remain happy, and I will always care for you, I won't give you a chance to complain." He said, making her blush and look away. She then remembered that they were at a store and doing romance in front of the employees. She immediately removed her hands from his shoulders, which were surrounding his neck, and turned away from him.
"What? What happened?" He became confused by her actions. Gianna cleared her throat and took a deep breath.
"Let's go now." Gianna said and walked towards dressing room. Xavier caught hold of her hand and turned her towards him, making her face him again.
"Not there, this way." He guided her towards the entrance and his car.
When they buckled their seatbelt, Gianna said,
"Xavier! I think we forgot to make payment for the dress and I forgot to collect my previous dress." Xavier looked at her and chuckled yet again. He had become a very happy man in only a few hours.
"Why are you laughing at me? Don't tell me you already made payment and collected my dress." Gianna said, and a slight pout was forming on her face.
"No, I didn't make payment, neither I collected your dress." Hearing this, Gianna instantly unbuckled her seatbelt and was about to open the door when Xavier kept his hand on her hand, stopping her.
"There is no need to go there. I own this boutique, it's alright if I don't make payment if I take anything from here. About your dress... it'll be delivered at your apartment on time after getting it washed, don't worry." Gianna went in a dazed zone while Xavier buckled her seatbelt yet again and started his car.
"Just how much rich you are? Not like I care... just asking curiously." Gianna whispered, not willing to ask loudly, but Xavier heard everything clearly, being close to her in an enclosed vehicle.
"Even I can't imagine... if you want I can contact my assistant, he will prepare a report, and I'll submit it to you until tomorrow morning. You should care about how much your partner earns." He said. Gianna choked on her saliva and coughed twice.
"I don't need any reports, and I don't care if my partner earns or not. If he doesn't then I'll. Thinking of which... I am planning on opening my café again. The lady who took my shop for rent has already left." Gianna exclaimed and looked towards him while he was driving. She was trying hard to visualize him driving, but it was slightly blurry, like a blurry drawing on a chalk board.
Xavier's head snapped as he looked at Gianna with wide eyes.
"What? Are you staring? Please concentrate on driving." Gianna exclaimed. Xavier gritted his teeth and looked ahead to continue driving, but he slowly opened his mouth.
"Your café was on rent?" Xavier asked in a low, menacing voice.
"Yeah... recently I had money crisis, I had bills to pay and the earnings from café were not enough so... yeah I gave my shop to a lady, and she paid me whole rent, don't worry." Gianna said casually, not knowing his eyes had become sharp enough to shoot holes in the glass in front of him.
"Was Brinley aware about this?" Xavier clutched the steering wheel tightly.
"I think so, yes. Amelia had told her." Gianna said, as she remembered Amelia talking about how Brinley said it was a good idea to rent out the shop.
"Why didn't you inform me about this? I would have helped you." He said as if stating something very obvious.
"Xavier... let's end this discussion for now, does it look good that we're arguing on our first day of our relationship?" Gianna stated as she clutched her dress.
"Alright, but just for today. I'll make sure I bring this topic to a satisfying conclusion after a long talk." Xavier said and huffed. His anger evaporated as soon as he heard Gianna requesting him in her soft voice. Gianna nodded silently and turned her face towards the window, not allowing him to see her moist eyes. Warning bells were ringing in her head, but she controlled her emotions and tears dried by themselves in her eyes.
Xavier looked at Gianna's back of her head and placed one of his free hand on her hand. He softly rubbed her skin using his thumb, trying to calm her down. He knew he made her very emotional by picking a sensitive topic, but he felt this huge pang in his heart when he came to know she didn't even share what problems she has been facing. But he was also not in a position to put blame on her regarding this because he also doesn't share what he does, what are his likes, dislikes, etc. with her.
They reached a hotel, he escorted her out of the car and took her to the rooftop restaurant. The whole restaurant was empty, he took her to a table near the rooftop fencing of glass, the table was beautifully decorated, just perfect for the couples. Gianna felt the serene silence and cool breeze brush her cheeks and hair.
"Are we the only ones here?" Gianna asked him.
"Yeah, except a few chefs and lady waiters." He said as he took out the chair for her and guided her to sit comfortably.
"Such a perfect gentleman." Gianna commented, making him chuckle.
"Now, don't tell me this hotel is also yours. Why is no one here?" Gianna asked him, but she got silence as her answer.
"Are you serious?" Gianna asked him.
"Damn serious. Surprised?" he commented.
"Shocked." Gianna exclaimed and silently took a breath.
"So, let's order our food. What would you like to have?" Gianna thought for a few seconds before shrugging.
"I don't know. You know this is my first date, I don't know what I should order and what I shouldn't..." She exclaimed.
"Hm... no worries. Let me handle this problem for you, as I am your first date partner I should pay extra attention right?" Xavier said and chuckled, making Gianna blush hard.
"What do you mean? How many dates have you attended before me?" Gianna pouted sweetly and huffed.
"Hahaha just once, after my prom night with my partner, we went for a small dinner date. Never contacted her since that date and never had any other date until today. I should say this is my first proper date with someone." Gianna nodded her head in approval.
"Yeah, sounds fair to me." Xavier smiled slightly and called a waiter to give orders. They chatted for a while, soon their drinks and starters were served, and they continued talking this and that about themselves. What they missed was a lady waiter burning with jealousy watching a blind girl on a date with her boss, she took out her phone and secretly clicked many photos of them talking, laughing and slightly coming close with each other as Xavier moved his hand to wipe a tiny spot of sauce which stained her pretty lips.
After having dinner, they walked out of the hotel and got into the car. Xavier parked his car near a lake walk trail. They walked for a while in silence, Gianna inhaled the fresh water breeze which was softly blowing her hair up and down. Xavier stared at her beautiful figure. He had this huge urge to hug her... sensing this, Gianna held his arm and enclosed the distance between them. She hugged his stomach, feeling his abs.
Xavier hugged her back and inhaled her fragrance. He felt relaxed... he never felt something like that before. They stood like that for some time.
He looked down and saw the time on his wristwatch. It was getting quite late. He was about to remove Gianna's hold and break the hug when he realized she had drifted to sleep. He chuckled, and he felt soft breaths on his suit. He picked up Gianna in his arms and he walked towards his car. He carefully laid her and buckled her seatbelt.
He drove his car and picked her again when they reached her apartment. He came inside as Amelia opened the door, her friends were still sitting, watching movies with her, and they got shocked to see this romantic sight of a man carrying a woman gently. Xavier tucked Gianna under her blanket and left from there after saying goodbye to Amelia.

The waiter smiled as she shared the photos through an anonymous account on different social media platforms, but she never knew what she was getting herself into.
